  • n900 rockinggggggg

  • atleast he got some views for his fake video:D

  • It isn't fake, idiots, it uses accelerometers, there are similiar programs for Symbian, written in Python. Maybe it is fake, but this can be done.

  • i have this phone and there is no way you can do that

    it is fake

i wasted a couple of second watching this, and you wasted youtube's storage.

  • fast forweard to 0:19 and stop at 0:22 and watch it again and again and you will see he is going left on the n900 but the car is going strate

  • fake!!! you have a child with you and he is controlling the car !!!!! fake!!!!

  • @QtG33k 0:20 he make his phone back but the cars is driving forwart

    sry for my bad english

  • sick

  • Aha

  • maybe by the infrared port?

  • @sotirisdin Nope, As I explained earlier, this was done by my friend and I. We do not directly control the car. Instead we use the accelormeter of N900. this is connected to a PC via wifi. The PC's parallel port is connected to remote of the car.

    [N900]--->(wifi)--->[PC]---->(parallel port)---->[Remote]------>[Car]

Thats how we did it :-).

  • Fake and Gay

  • @chelsea00boss

IPhone can do that, then why not N900?

  • wondering how IFail can do it, if it does not have built-in FM transmitter?..

  • @Coolbitzzz

I meant that you can drive the real car with IPhone..

    watch?v=oHDwKT564Kk

  • We don't use the FM transmitter either. You can use the bluetooth to connect. I believe thats how they did it. Over even have a server hosted and connect via wifi.

  • @QtG33k

i believe they did it with infered transmitted

  • Well, sorry ... I never mentioned it before !!

Its me who created it :-) And thats my mobile

  • @YamFrie Oh yeah the car got bluetooth somehow

  • Yes, that would be the right way to do. But I wish I knew how to do that.

  • aint...

    its over bluetooth

    did it on n95

  • @StuntBase : Nope, explained below :-)

  • fake!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Hmmm... would be awesome if there also was a voodoo-model on the screen that shows the car... :P

  • it was killing me how they Rf'd the phone? when I found out the way, I would say they adhoc'd the singles :)))

    nice one ......

and take chill pill this stuff is real

  • Good one....... Shows the power of QT.

  • Hey ... Its Qt and not QT :-)

  • totally agree with areacellphone. Its looks like fake. but I'm sure it can be done with this phone.

  • good one ... using the accelerometer is a nice touch. But, it wud be great, if their were on-screen controls, the controlling wud be more precise.

  • But you would n't want to look at the screen when you try to control the car, would you?

  • cool stuff..

  • Cool stuff!

  • Good one but without complete setup this video is creating doubts. They may even be fake It seems someone is controlling the car and this guy is just moving his phone

  • Point taken, will come up with a new video, which looks close to real ;-)

Jokes apart, The idea is not to explain how it is done. The focus is more about what could be done using Qt in a matter of a day or two :-)

  • Looking forward to the new video !!

  • this kind of things make the n95 when just was released, hope this maemo have more and more opportunities

  • sorry - didn't get you :(

  • Super cool !

  • Thanks a lot :)

  • what is this package called?

  • :-) I would like to call it Night Hawk ;-)

Just created this for demo-ing How Qt integrates so well with n900, and linux.

Its just a fun project by My Roomate - Aneesh and Me

  • my name is Anees, hehe fancy hearing of an aneesh

  • Bluetooth? Unless the QT somehow controls radio signals. I could see that.

  • Well, the car's remote is connected to a third machine. Just that we did not show it in this video

  • lol smoke and mirror fine with me

  • Project 'Night Hawk' is showing off slowly..?? Cool ...guys..!!

  • Thanks a lot ... Nice that you remember the code name ;-) :p
