  • Realizing I was only 7 yrs. old when movie FM was released. I was already a fan and listening to Linda's 8tracks due to my sis who would blare them in living room. I was so in love with her and her voice and joined one of her fan clubs printed on "Silk Purse" album cover. Couldn't afford to buy albums at that age so I scribbled address on piece of paper while Mom bought schoolclothes at JCP LOL!!! I'm still a fan of her music. It's timeless! San Antonio TX Loves you Linda!!!

  • This concert was 11/17/77 The Summit, Houston, TX and not 1978. This was the recording for the movie FM that was recorded earlier in the afternoon. The Movie FM was released in 1978

  • 2 dislikes??? gay males no doubt...

  • Linda in the 70's was possibly the hottest chick on the planet... jeez...

  • Yes , Linda is pure gold. Go Waddy! Dang can we all go back when we were young beautiful and skinny?

  • She was the total package.

  • What's GREAT about this version is that you can hear every word of the lyrics clearly - she completely rocks this at full voice, but articulates every syllable. What a pro. Most singers, even Jagger, bellows and slurs the words.

  • Only singer out there besides Jagger who can pull off "Tumblin' Dice". Patty Loveless might be able to do it to too.

  • What can I say......Just the best. Great voice, great band, confident, beautiful......Come on Rock 'n Roll HOF...What in the world are you wating for?

  • Love you, Linda!! You will always be THE rock chick--no one else comes close!!

  • What can I say, I had a big time crush on her, so powerful, such great arrangements and not to mention, what a looker!

  • She was hot as hell and singing a killer stones song...Perfect chick in my book man...

  • She even makes a mullet haircut look good!

  • OMFG She was so hot....Jerry Clown was soooo lucky back in the '70s!!!!

  • she needs to come out of retirement

  • Open G

  • Saw her in 1973 in a concert in which she and her bouffant-hair-do backup singers did a 90-second a cappella ad lib during "You're no Good."

Stole the show from Neil Young, who had to follow her.

  • I saw Ronstadt in concert in 1980 or 81. Awesome concert. She was the sexiest woman in rock at the time. I loved watching this video. Thanks for the upload.

  • One of the greatest singers of al time ..

    .. and soooooo Gorgeous tooo !! x

  • OMG. I was at this concert. Thanks for this video. And Linda doesn't write songs. Does nothing but sing. And usually does a better job than the writer and/or original singer.

  • Im so glad she never thought of wearing a meat dress or a high heal piano.

  • What most people do not know is that this was recorded in the afternoon during filming for the movie FM. The audience during Martin Mull's intro for her were a small handfull of people to sound like the whole Summit was full. I did concert security for this show, and this sng was also played later that night. She was a really beautiful lady then as always

  • It's weird seeing Waddy Wachtel playing guitar for anyone but Stevie Nicks. Linda's got a great voice. Thanks for the video.

  • @stvienx And I think it's weird to see Waddy playing for anyone other than Linda! The man can PLAY!

  • @stvienx

Waddy has played with many famous singers and musicians. For instance...Blondie Chaplin. :o)

    He is a great guitarist.

  • Wow.

  • The woman rocks like few others and looks good doing it too! Linda blows Jagger out of the water with her superior pipes, and I hope Taylor, Britney, and Carrie are taking notes. This how a REAL woman sings baby....

  • @BloozeDaddy76 Her "pipes" may blow Jagger out of the water, as you say....But she basically is only copying Jaggers' original rendition. Not putting her down. Love to hear her sing. But she brings nothing original to it; and he WROTE it! In response to 4orrcountry....Waddy is amazing. No? Too bad he didn't replace Mick Taylor!

  • OMG! she was in her PRIME! what a lady, what a voice. she is still a singers singer. know one like her. Always loved her, always will. thanks for sharing this awesome video

  • @songdude11 I agree! She was a doll and a huge talent!

  • waddy watchel woo hoo

  • hot ho hot hotttt omg she had it alllllllll

  • I was at that concert. I had 9th row seats just to the left of center stage. They made us move because they were filming for the movie FM and they put a camera where our seats were. We had to move the 15th row, way over on the left side. I was pissed. I complained a lot. But they finally said, either move or leave. What a drag. To top it off, the film in my camera wasn't loaded properly and I got NO photos of the concert at all! Great concert though. She was awesome as always.

  • @moodyforu Well, I envy you - no matter what row you were in!

  • @moodyforu Wow! pretty cool.

  • Never got the noteriety she deserves.

  • Great voice, lots of passion, and umm, uhhh, damn she's sexy!

  • My Gawd she was SEXY...!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Awesomeness!!!!

  • is that Martin Mull doing the introduction?

  • @mcbruski

    Absolutely. Martin Mull.

  • i love the fact how much confidence linda has in this video. compared to the shy young woman of 1967 to the mid 70's you can see why at this point she was the biggest female rockstar

  • Great song!!!

  • This is from the movie " FM"

  • Fever in the funkhouse! Nice cover by a legend

  • HOW HOT IS LINDA IN THIS VIDEO? OMG!

  • The Stone Poneys with guitarist/songwriter Kenny Edwards

  • Rock 'n hot chick !!

  • Thanks for introducing me to her version of this cool song... great work of art from you!

  • Really Great Song, Singer & Vid!!!!!!...5*s Thankyou John...Anita..:)
