He only won due to an injury. Yeah it's a "victory" but it's hardly a decisive win. If Sakuraba was injured first the victory would have gone to Royce. A 90 minute match between two great grapplers is a draw IMO, with the win going to who can hold out longest without getting injured.

There is a huge difference when you fight in the US comparing with fights in Japan. In the US the rules are much more restrictive then those applied in Japan.
