  • I think they should re-release this film to theaters. It may be a dated film but it makes people feel good. Right now the world could use a little feeling good for a change.

  • I loved Andy's voice. I wonder if he did anything else.

  • I like These voices for Ann and Andy the best. All the other voices for them in other versions just don't sound right for them.

  • eso fue casi muy drogado pero....admito que es buena y bonita la pelicula

  • Best children's movie I ever saw.

  • I loved it, this is weird, strange and the animation amazin (wat i look for in movies) and andys singin vocie was so beauitful and were all the songs were fun to watch and listen to. ps, mr loony is unhealthy to be around.

  • thats be so tragic (but funny) if she just looked at the camel and said, straight faced, " Thought I left this shit outside...?"

  • I loved this <3 It may have been weird, strange, and just down right different for a kids movie, but the music was amazing, the animation was actually very beautiful, and even though the plot was kind of scary for a kids movie, it made a lot of sense if you think about it. For me, it was a nice awesome and sort of epic kids movie that I would love to own on DVD, and would love to watch again. Oh yeah and the many many songs were all actually really good. I loved it and would love to see again<3

  • As crazy and random as this movie was, it was pretty good

  • wonderful..is there any way you sell copies on dvd widescreen? I will pay. please let me know!

  • Haven't seen this since 1977 when I ran it as a projectionist. Didn't do much business. After showing it a few dozen times I got used to it.

  • Thanks for uploading this. I watched this movie so much as a kid (in the early 90's) and I didn't know it was from the 70s... anyway, it brought back a lot of memories. Thanks again.

  • Thanks for uploading this. This was really interesting!

  • I'll admit, most of the story was just friggin WEIRD AS HELL.

But I think it's still an overall good movie. =)

  • you mean that giant a** toy was outside in the yard & leaves some how hid it? :-l

  • how is this not a good a good movie , i loved it , the animation was great and so diffrent from whats seen today , yeah it had a lot of songs and a story that didn't make sense but those thing don't matter in a work of art :D

  • Loved this when I was little and it's brilliant to watch it again now I'm 27! Thank you for posting. Really nostalgic :)

  • This movie was weird. The story made no sense and it was kind of slow at times. But I still liked it. It was cute and different.

Raggedy Ann still kind of scares me though.

  • @ThisisSteve Why didn't the story make sense?

  • @Stephen10528 In what way did it make sense?

  • This movie wasn't so bad, sure it had it's crazy moments(like the greedy), but the characters were adorable, the animation was fascinating, and I even liked the songs. I wish I had known about this movie as a child

  • Nostalgia Critic was right. This movie is like one long acid trip. Pretty good though.

  • So, my opinion of the whole thing. The animation was just fascinating to watch, and the characters of Raggedy Anne and Andy were just adorable, but as anyone can see, a lot of it was kind of... Well, a lot of it was seriously messed up. I can safely say that had I seen The Greedy as a little kid, I'd still be having nightmares about vast pits of gelatinous sentience.

  • @GenaTrius And then there's fridge logic. So, when the little girl's away, the toys come to life and move on their own, but sort of like... hallucinate the whole time? At the end they were in a little reflecting pond that they seem to have thought was an ocean. Imagine that from an outside perspective, seeing these ragdoll toys just wandering around in a daze, talking to each other like they're in The Greedy's taffy pit.

  • Once you get passed the insanity, this movies a classic!

  • I haven't seen this film since I was a kid! I now know why I was so freaked out by the Greedy.

    Ahh childhood memories =]

Thank you so much for posting this, you did an excellent job restoring it.

  • AWESOME restoration job!

    Thank you!

  • ...I went into this thinking it would be the weirdest thing I'd ever seen.It was pretty weird,but...I enjoyed it quite a lot.I wanna watch it again too!

  • You know, repeated comments and repeated descriptions label this movie a mess, but I, watching this for the very first time, thoroughly enjoyed it. Ann was delightful in her sincerity and absolutely adorable, and Andy was a great put-em-up type of boy character.

Some of the animation quality dropped in a few places, but it remained consistently entertaining all throughout (like Williams' other major works). They just don't make them like this anymore.

  • Huh, what an odd little film. Sort of reminds me of another animated work I've seen, though I'm not quite sure why. After all, the apocalyptic horror that is End of Evangelion certainly bear little in common with the plot of this charming children's film :P

  • ok this isnt what i thought it was, but it was so cute!!!!!!!!! All i wanted to see was a kid or kids playing with the dolls but it was worth the time watchin!!!!!! But the king said last laugh maby he ment to explode O______o who would want to explode any way right?

  • Wow... if I had come into my room to find a random old camel and my toys sitting out somewhere- I'd freak out and think there was a ghost

  • I like this movie! I miss my old raggedy Ann Doll.

  • TakumaMimura I kno right? Even as a kid, I felt this movie was pretty weird especially Greedy and the camel's acid trip! Lmao

But I love Greedy's song it's the only thing that made me remember this movie, and I was dying to see it again. Sigh, things are better when were young and innocent.

  • Animation in the 1970's seemed to be less about entertaining children, and more about scaring them with animators basically putting their acid trips on film.

  • thank goodness for the wild imagination of kids, or she'd probably think she was going nuts.

  • seriously, looked for this movie forEVER. when I lived in Seattle, I had Scarecrow Video try to find it for me. They'd never heard of it, and couldn't find it through their "channels." Should be remade live-action by Terry Gilliam.

  • I LOVE THIS MOVIE! I saw it when I was little and now I saw it again, it´s very nice movie!

  • I feel raped...

    :)

  • This movie wasn't bad... but it probably isn't for kids. I liked it a lot. It's very weird and quirky even though the storyline was kind of not so great. The voice acting, songs, and animation were all excellent though.

  • @WumWip They ought to make another Raggedies movie. You know, put a modern spin on it.

  • @hell5309

They should do a Tim Burton remake of this one. Just give it a better storyline and it'll be awesome.

  • @WumWip I'll get started on the screenplay.

Which do you think Burton's more likely to do for this one, CGI or stop-motion?

  • @hell5309

    CGI would be awesome.

  • @WumWip why ? so he can create another abomination?

  • @brian80o

Well, Alice was probably his worst...
