How long did it take you to write this, Stride?

Thank you! I can't remember exactly how long it took me to write it, but it was probably about a month, since I took my time and was working on other projects at the time. I wrote it during the Fall 2004 semester, and we performed it during the Spring 2005 semester. I originally just wrote it for piano and choir, but Hugo, the director, suggested that I add a violin and a marimba part, so I revised it, and there are actually two versions, so it can be performed both ways.
