This kind of screen is called TN-Panel.

That's why the new 20" iMac is so friggin cheap.

It's like that with ANY TN Panel screen.

If you need a Pro screen you will have to pay pro money. Doesn't matter which PC company.

To make the 20" iMacs screen a little better:

Tillt it right. Don't use it in an dark room. AND:

calibrate it.

For the money the 20" iMac is a fine machine with a good display.

I personally now have no problems with the screen.... i think what it is is your getting one turning it on then saying "ahh sihit the screen is screwed" give it a few months to burn in, sorted...

The 20" panels suck dick. The 24" uses the same H-IPS $1000 panels from NEC. The 24" is a good deal.
