great swing, great course, too bad the PGA was played here before they built a new clubhouse and redid the greens and fairways! I cant wait until the 2016 ryder cup comes here
he stands a little bit more upright than tiger in 2000. and he`s a little wristier on the back swing and his swing is much slower.but he`s the closest one to tiger`s swing.beautiful to watch.
@FerrarisRock lol it doesnt really bend that much, its just moving so fast the camera cant pick it up so it looks warped like that. but tour pro's still bend it a shitload.. it is no wonder they crank it out there 300+ when you see how much they lag the club.
Great win in Texas, with a swing that looks this good, lets hope he finds the putter again and gets back into the top 5 in the world where he belongs.
The exaggerated bend in the shaft is due to camera distortion most likely caused by wrist release accelerating the clubhead through impact. If you watch any of the Swing Vision footage (which has a much higher FPS than this camera) you won't see shafts bending that much. Obviously shafts bend, they are designed to, but they don't look like wet noodles at impact.
they arent that whippy if it whipped that much you would never be able to hit the ball it would feel so unstable. you cant even bend a shaft that much pushing on it have you ever used a x shaft? they don't bend that much you're stupid
@jcbkmk11 . No denying he has a good swing though. Sort of an In to Out move though, somewhat old school, but if the results are as good as he claims, maybed it is a PGA Tour quality swing. Lol, more than likely just a golfer obsessed solely with the swing and not the other aspects of the game.
Muscle tenision is a killer. I have always hated that some 22 year old skirt could have a driving distance avg more than me. I just recently have relaxed more when swinging and have had amazing results. Now if I could just leave my brain in the car when I play...
For anyone who wants another view of shaft flex, check out any of the swing vision videos on the web. It is not as pronounced as it is here, but it is certainly the case that the head flexes forward ahead of impact.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
Right. The shaft does bent, but after impact.
According to Callaway engineers, the club does not ''kick'' or bent significantly enough to affect the ball trajectory. The only way to get a shaft which could be to ''soft'' has been experienced, and results were showing that only a 130 mph swing can bent a ladies flex shaft.
The only thing that affect your trajectory is the weight of the shaft. If the shaft is lighter, you'll swing the club in a different way. Everything else is marketing.

you are an absolute retard if you think the shaft bends like that. its the camera. if you think otherwise than i feel bad for you because that means you have a mental disability/disease.

You know what GolfVidJp, my reaction when I first heard that was pretty much like yours.
The only difference was in the words I used to answer him. Maybe because the person who told me this information was Callaway senior ingineer in Carslbad.
I've never been gross to answer you.I don't ask you to trust me, but please, be respectful.
The shaft does have a rebound at the bottom of the swing and this helps generate the massive power all pro's seem to have. Simple, haven't all of you ever swung easily and simply crushed a drive that went 20-40 yards past your average drive? When the average golfer relaxes and swings within themselves they unleash real power. It is balance+tight rotation+relaxed muscles. The pronounced kick is the result.
ahh no that doesnt happen. it's a common myth that when you swing easier you hit it farther. maybe it's true if you're a huge hack who is really tight when he swings, but for a tour pro for example, they hit it farther when they rip at it. take tiger's drive at doral where he drives the green, don't try and tell me he didn't unleash everything he had on that one. tool.
Hey from the looks of it below you deleted comments............why? Hopefully you delete the retarded comment you just posted as well. "but for a tour pro for example" so I guess you are going to try to tell us your a tour pro?? or a pro?? by the way, what have you accomplished that makes you an expert?? Nothing..........oh yeah that's right:
It's not a myth, its a fact because you are connected and timing takes over. Tiger woods is one of a kind he can do what he wants, but the tour pros stay connected when hitting hard, and weren't you here just to ramble on about how many shafts you've seen bend?
alright i agree with you. For hackers like yourself who can't bust 90 it is better to swing easy. For good players such as myself and all tour pros, swinging hard = more distance. I just didn't realize you were only referencing bad golfers when you made the comment. My apologies.
If you ever get the opportunity, visit the PING fitting Ctr at Moon Valley. I was fitted there and the simplistic explanation I gave was a rifled down engineering explanation I was given when at PING. Swinging easy has little to do with torso rotational speed which powers the swing. Few golfers will feel what a golf shaft can do unless they completely relax. As an Engineer, understanding load dynamics and how the loading force when not applied will make a device unload is key here.
Since you want to go here then you must also incorporate Newton's third law of reciprocal actions. If object "A" exerts a force on object "B" then "B" exerts a force on object "A" with equal magnitude in the opposite direction. Within the confines of the golf swing: when you are no longer accelerating your swing then the shaft (club) will surpass what was previously the driving force (body)........hence the rebound affect.
@GolfVidJp please watch swing vision. and type correctly. unless you mean to encourage people to write when they dont know what there talking about. billsparky is correct
he's right, the camera takes in the video from top to bottom, so the club head is actually captured slightly after the rest of the swing making it look like the shaft is kicking like that

Why do you think shafts have a "kick point". The club head catches back up but only if you swing it correctly.
You should write anything unless you know what your talking about. The camera may exaggerate it at times but the head does kick forward.

The kickpoint is entirely for launch angle. I worked with callaway and there golf fitting system with the shafts.
High kickpoint = low and vice versa.
And on super slow mo the shaft does bend like this, but maybe not so extreme haha.. You fucking spastic mattyco
