  • Completely, totally, absolutely ruined by that fucking awful remix, horrible, synthetic drum sound!

  • 2 people need throwing off the gallery.

  • Great rocker from Ian ( GOD ) Anderson. Great flute playing as well.

  • The Minstrel Liveth ....

  • Glorioso. Me sacude las estanterías y el gato huyó despavorido! Bien ahí!

  • The sound quality on this video is really good...

  • Sorry, this is not Minstrel without the intro :(

  • i remember reading the pans that critics gave this album. they said basically it was crap from tull....and yet i find it refreshing and great!!

  • How To Rock: 101

  • NICE and thanks

  • The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame will never be valid until Tull is inducted. They were probably the most innovative, original band in rock!!

  • @derfzus Rock and Roll Hall of Fame suck! Like everything American. How did rock music museum found itself in a country that is not the faintest idea about the rock? Let the will occupy a country and blues rock would give the British.

  • @JTAqualung Are you suggesting American rock giants like Kiss, Poison, Motley Crue and Bon Jovi aren't just as wonderful as Tull, Stones, Genesis, Beatles, Deep Purple or Pink Floyd?

  • morgoth...ignorant...ian is a master...illuminati...

  • its not head banging . its classic rock and roll at its finest . head bangers i am sure heard it . after all one must have influences . this tune from Tull ROCKS!!!

  • Don't insult this brilliant stuff with head-banging.

  • Can someone tell me who sings and who's the author of intro with female duo? Is that their composition or they picked it from somewhere? BTW great song when it starts to drum makes me wanna jump lol.

  • @TheMarinerX Ian Anderson : lead vocal and flute and genius of Jethro Tull. Sorry, no females. Regret the generations who won't get to see them in live concert. Anderson and the boys came on stage after the opening group and just acted like roadies setting up the stage. They were all dressed in same trench-coat and while the lights were still up and the crowd still "stretching", Anderson casually takes center stage, calmly reaches into his coat pocket and whips out the flute. lights out, ROCK!

  • @olegeez55

saw them 9 TIMES! LOVED LOVE LOVE THEM! an orchestra..we rockers weren't used to THAT!.

    .Ian was a show stopper!

    so much talent!!!!

and still to this day is keeping it all alive !

  • Fabulous Ian Anderson.

  • I think this one of the all time greatest rock songs rhythmically , melodically in every way!

In 1976 what a dramatic fantastic show

  • Always one of my favs, the minstrel singing of himself!

  • One of my top Tull faves. Just the !?!@# BEST!

To ALL my Tull brothers and sisters wherever you may be: You are my tribe.

  • would be a great choice for an encore song at a Tull concert

  • o.O coooool!!!! His voice is rlly fantastic ^.^ LIKE IT

  • To put it simply: awesome song.

  • Saw Tull do this live in an outdoor concert in Conn. - - - - AWESOME!!!

  • we didnt know what head banging was then .

  • Ian is a genius-he basically said in this song-oh, you think we're just a band that does nice British folksy tunes-well, how about that stuff mixed with an overdrive, kick-ass, hard rock song? I love it.

  • masterpiece

  • "TV docuuuuuuuuu-ment'ry maaaaa-kers..."

    This song fucking ROCKS.

  • man what a blast to the past! but cant believe you forgot the acoustic intro! but oh well. still a fucking awesome track!!!!!

  • with 6 years??

    what a great virus....

  • my favourite tull albums: minstrel in the gallery - songs from the wood - this was -

    i´m 18 and i fucking love tull!!!

this song is one of the highlights !!

  • @91Lizardking i found this at my dad's record collection, when i was about... wow.. dunno 6 y. o.?

he's got all the records of tull and ian :)

since then i was infected by the tull-virus :D

    and that's 12 years ago ;)

  • Man, as a Tull fan dating back to the 70s, it's fucking GREAT to read some of these comments from younger fans!

  • Im 24 now, and lucky to have grown up in a Family with a good taste for Music, my dad being a musician Himself and my mom a multi-faceted lover of good music in general. I had not the Luck of being good at any instrument, but still share the love for artists like Tull, Zeppelin, Queen, Pink Floyd etc... Just recently learned about King Crimson :) I think great art like this will stay in peoples minds like Mozart and Beethoven do. I do so hope it!

  • @SenfDazuGeber85 Those you mentioned are some of my all time favorites, except for Queen, I just can't stand it.

    Music's golden years right here.

  • This track stands the test of time, top vocals and guitar riffs. The more l listen to it the more l love it, it rocks people.

  • Wow, this still sounds fresh even today. Awesome jam.

  • "My Lord, and Lady..." Classic Tull! True underrated Rembrandts of their time. Brilliant artists.

  • Just wondering though, why is the intro cut out?

  • I love the intro. The song is somewhat degraded without it.

  • Yeah, where's the frickin' intro?

  • this seems to be the version from Repeat which cuts the song in half. both parts of the song are equally awesome in my opinion but you really need the intro to build up to this part

  • theres something different . echo ? drums are different from 75 album . this is a sophisticated piece of rock music .

  • the band who showed the world that that flute IS a rock'n'roll instrument!!!

  • Headbanging material right here.

  • i sure wish i l lived in the 70's.

  • dude... so much.... you got your woodstock in '69. you got your prog, your punk, your funk/motown a little beatles and john lennon's solo career. the who in their prime... just the best decade for music hands down i think.

  • @morgoth195 iron maiden, black sabbath, and exodus are headbanging material. not jethro tull...

  • @blindiris22 He can headbang to any kind of music he wants.

  • The drumms session is absolutely amazing.

    Thanks for sharing this...

  • this is the remixed version from the"25 years of jethro tull" thank's !

  • Classic Tull

    Danke Schoen !

  • This song makes you want to march! MARTIN BARRE CHORDS AT IT'S BEST!! TULL FOREVER!!!!!

  • The Minstrel would appear to have been in need of something. I'm not sure what, nor am I sure whether he eventually got it.

Still, at least he had fun finding out.

    vaya con Dios

  • rock on jt!

  • They polarised the fucking pumpkin eaters... just like they bastard well should !

  • backgammon players......and women haters.....

  • Answer 1: They did and they ended up being the greatest fucking band of all time. Go figure.

Answer 2: Basically it was one name they chose out of a string of goofy names so they could keep coming back to the same club when they were starting out. I guess it was the one that stuck.

  • ohhh, its a cool name if u dident know about the guy jethro tull

  • another thought: maybe a seed drill suggests something sexual? hmm?hmm? better than Stryper

  • Comment removed

  • Thirty years old and still kicks ass!!!!

  • Just to prove that jethro tull rock, i'm a metal fan primarily, yet this is easily one of the best songs ever written
