  • for his fiery ex

  • Stevie Ray Vaughan is the only man I know that has lived that could truly make me feel emotions that I never though I could feel...

Words cannot describe his pure soul he puts into songs. Every song.

His guitar wasn't just an object - I believe it was the very extension of his soul.

He will be sadly missed but never forgotten as long as people appreciate true, beautiful and blissful music. Much love.

  • Im home now

  • Strat and a little reverb... Makes me feel like I have overcompicated playing the guitar. What a genius he is

  • nice i love stevie ray

  • His brother needs his head examined for selling that guitar. SMH what a fool

  • sei un grande

  • I learned to shoot 9-ball listening to this album, mellow and yet intricate enough to to keep me focused and steady.

  • this is like an expression of truth for me. seems all words are lies in one way or the other and only music can tell us truth.

  • @fenderkid6 words can only point to the truth... fenderkid6 you are the man!!!

  • @fenderkid6 you blew my mind

  • This song is too good.

  • 5. Santana 4. Duane Allman 3.Eric Clapton 2. Jimi Hendrix 1. The undisputed Champ. Stevie Ray Vaughn. Long live Stevie. Long live Texas. Long live the Blues

  • @dickbutki really buddy, no van halen.

  • Tear it up Stevie Ray Texas will always love and remember you!

  • He left us too soon. Guess most of us who loved him in the 80's and 90's are grandmas now.

  • @YourGalPalVal1963 Yeah maybe so...but he will never be forgotten. Generation after generation will be listening to Stevie, mainly all the blues lovers and guitar players out there. One of the best there ever was and ever will be.

  • Thnks for sharing this , I never cried so many tears in my life over a song .

God gave us SR and life/the world ate his gentle soul right in front of us .

it is the most moving piece of music I have encountered since hearing Izzy sing for the first time , thankyou again.

  • Seven people hate utter bliss.

  • He was a freak in the truest sense of the word. Only one or two in a generation come along. I cannot imagine anyone ever matching SRV in my lifetime.

    rvr

  • epic blues

  • the most beautiful stevie ray song in my opinion, and probably one of the most beautiful songs ever to be quite honest!

  • nice and melodic love this guy

  • legend!

  • Beautiful!!

  • The Story is that Stevie saw a guitar in a music store window and wanted it but he couldn't afford it. When his wife, Lenny, heard this, she pooled together with a group of her friends to by it for him. when they gave him the guitar he was so thrilled, he stayed up the whole night writing this song on it. He even named the guitar Lenny.

  • what a beautiful song.

  • whats next,,,You gonna tell me SRV was a guy who played a thing called a guitar

  • @verbalassalt09

Don't do that...he did play a thing called a guitar amd he did it better that anyone during the very short time that he had in this world.

  • thanx king gemini,,but i already knew that.

  • so chill

  • Tom Who?

  • Hendrix came back as SRV, got taken again, came back as Tom Morello. Just chillin.

  • @Compton3clipsed tom morello can't touch hendrix or stevie

  • @jevensen93 tom is one of the best out their "today" atleast he does his own thing, but your right. hes got nothing on either of them. srv and jimi are both the number 1 guitarists to ever exist in my oppinion

  • @Compton3clipsed Tom Morello is good, but he isn't on that level.

  • there are no words to describe this.

  • DOES ANYONE KNOW IF STEVIE HAD LYRICS TO THIS? HMMM

  • @verbalassalt09 no it's just an instrumental. he made this for his wife Lenny

  • how does anyone mistake that classic fender strat sound for an acoustic???

  • Beutiful acoustic guitaring!! ;)

  • @kanditate1 - LOL acoustic guitaring, now that just goes to show the skill of Stevie!!! Someone listens to this and thinks it's acoustic.... Amazing!!! This man was truly and legend!!!

  • amazing:D

  • @Muppio fuck a dr.pepper. unless theres some whiskey in that bitch!

  • When the world ends i will be sitting on my lawn, in a lawn chair, drinking a Dr.Pepper and listening to Lenny, smiling all the way through.

  • i bet Stevie hasnt stopped playing, even in Heaven :) even God admires his playing i bet. The angels and saints down here are still jealous, and the people on utube still dont get it, that he was the best ever

  • i wish more people would realize that this man would have been the most sought after violinist in 1770 or guru in india. i mean thank god it was guitar now, but it could have been, its the same thing.

  • so very genius creation of song......

  • Instant Eargasm.

  • 6 people accidently had an awesomeness overload and as a result , died , causing their severed fingers to click their mouse on the thumbs down button.

  • SRV IS ROCKING THE SOULS OF OUR LOVED ONES IN HEAVEN.

  • 5 people screens are upside down thus mistake like for dislike

this song is blues at it's best

  • @evmp3s GILF!!

  • @eddedd1 hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!!!!!

  • The thumbs down button is a bug.

  • THE MAN! thx for this wonderfulness!

  • this song reminds me of an old friend of mine, on june 29th a few of my friends went to visit him, and i wanted to play this song for him cause i knew he loved the blues. when we knocked on the door he didnt answer so we just went in to find that he had died on his bed. now may his soul rest in piece along with stevie ray vaughan:/

  • GOD BLESS you srv you had a sweet soul man!

  • I honestly dont understand why someone could dislike something this emotionly attached ... it has helped me through the roughest times...

  • there really is something about srv that moves people......

  • why is the other 'like thumb' upside down?

  • 4 people listen to justin bieber.

  • This video is an excellent reminder that the thumbs up and thumbs down buttons are far too close together... Thumbs up if you've ever accidentally disliked something awesome.

  • I really like the chords he is playing, really soothing.

  • <<----just got a musical erection..

  • @crazybo yeah hahaha i did too

  • My grandson told his guitar teacher he wanted to learn some Stevie Ray. His guitar teacher was surprised and asked him where he heard of Stevie. My grandson said, "My grandma". To which the teacher said....."your GRANDMA listens to Stevie Ray?!!" To which he replied....."all the time!". I am a young grandma, but will listen to Stevie till i'm an old grandma and beyond!! RIP Stevie!!

  • @saron380 ..... What? Btw Jk about that, Lol

  • @evmp3s 4 eva srv

  • @evmp3s This is a grand example of how great music connects us to the other people in our lives. A simple, non-direct,influence that even a single song may make on a child's (or anyone's) musical taste can easily lead to future events that greatly impact their lives. Music is a magical force that trandsends age, gender, race, and even language...Thumbs up to you and your Grandson for sharing this amazing common thread...

  • @evmp3s RESPECT. and shame on that teacher who never told your grandson about stevie ray!

  • @evmp3s i feel the love w / u young grandma me just the same i am a young grandma as well although my son plays vaughan for me my son born on his - day of birth & my youngest daughter was born on the day he left us i do as well have grandkids that love him and will grow with him as well love the post T / C

  • Vaughn's wife used to say that she would wake up and turn over to see Stevie playing guitar in his sleep. His face would be all scrunched up like he was really grinding it out. S.R.V. was truly a man who enjoyed his craft.

  • @10Bones01 amen, to his lost soul of greatness <3 R.I.P SRV

  • the first time i heard this i felt deep sadness and beauty all thrown together. ive never felt that before.

  • I don't know how many times I've tried to play this myself, and I never really got it sounding *right*. I finally just gave up; guess this song didn't mean to me what it did to Stevie Ray...

  • @DinsdalePiranha67 don't give up man it's a song that get better with age and finesse. i don't think I ever play it the same twice.

  • who in the fuck would not like this!!!!! idiots!!!! this man is a legand/ god!!!!!

  • @str8tjaker Love lenny, and everything it's about

  • Crystal ,diamonds and even gold will never be so pure like this song !

  • @AeronDylan rip SRV

  • @Stevenjames1986

    Thanks man

  • Lenora had to be impressed and flattered when she heard this the first time...

  • whats the video from the first clip

  • @livewiresixx220 I think it's from the music video to "Couldn't Stand the Weather". Not positive, though.

  • @zoso4906 thanks it was right and thats a sick video

  • Just a beautiful song.....

  • I think it's cool me and this guy share a birthday. October 3, is the shit.

  • @SublimeMikey Im jealous

  • why do younger people that listen to good music always have to say they are younger? lool do you want a medal or something?

Youtube needs to make a loop button

  • @hugosk8 lol cause older people expect younger people to listen to different music i suppose...it's a self validation sorta thing xD

  • @donmeswimee not really, not around here i guess, lol

  • @donmeswimee - I'm not an "older person" per se but pops brought me up on SRV and I'm 27 years old now and I was talking to someone the other day who is 18 and asked what his fav music was, the dude say blues and SRV and I was shocked with happiness. I know my pops thinks it's odd for me to like SRV but some teenager now days liking it.. SRV's music can reach and and grab anyone by the balls no matter what age.. SRV is still one of my favorite musicians.

  • @mixwell1983 i think his name will always be brought up with young emergin artists.

  • @mixwell1983 I'm 15 and while I may be a metal head, this song never fails to move me. I love all the classics and all the good ol' blues and 80's metal. New mainstream is terrible and will never replace actual music particularly beauties like these. I take a lot of shit for liking the blues, but I don't care that lets me know I still have culture in a dying society.

  • alot of people are surprised that i would like this type of music. i said to them. i listen to this cause it is real music, not some crap someone else got paid to sing. this music has soul, and thats why i love it

sincerely a 15 year old girl

  • Dad: TURN THAT SHIT DOWN!!

    Me: but its SRV

Dad: TURN THAT SHIT UP SON!!!!!!

  • @mixwell1983 hahahaha totally would

  • Comment removed

  • @Hushimajosh Your Dad should be ashamed he didn't know Stevie right away.

  • What perverts voted dislike on this haha.

  • I do not listen to rap music anymore cause of this track.

  • @PLANETPELIGROSO Word homie.

  • @PLANETPELIGROSO hahaha hey man could you check out my rendition of this song? thanks man I would appreciate it.

  • Endorphins are flowinggg, sweet

  • Most beautiful song I've ever heard. COME BACK PLLLZZZZZZZ!

  • This song was in fact written about his wife at the time, Lenora. Almost seems to freeze the time. Masterful song.

  • AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH HHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH SRV 4 ever

  • what a beautiful tone for the year that was recorded xD

  • "play every note like its your last"

  • @deans19891 I love that quote!

  • This. right here. is the reason i picked up a guitar. and kept playing

  • @steffsweet45 same here, I 've been playing it for years...

  • @steffsweet45 Lenny and Little Wing (by SRV) is what kept me playing the guitar!!

  • Nothing beats the blues, anyone who says they don't like blues hasn't heard this song. All you need is a heart and soul to appreciate this sort of music, it's absolutely beautiful. I can't even think of the right words for it.. just listen and you'll feel what I'm trying to say.

  • Strat '59, you must be a big fan. :) I'm so glad I got a chance to see Stevie and Jeff Beck before he died. One of the 3 or 4 best concerts I ever saw.

Did you know... his '59 was destroyed by a falling light standard, very shortly before his own death. Talk about foreshadowing! :(

  • disgustingly beautiful!

  • Most beautiful song he ever wrote.

  • @MrTornado300 I think so too.

  • Thank you very much for posting this song. It's one of my all time favs!

  • There is more soul than you can even imagine...

  • I think it was great they used this s.v.r. song at the end of Pantera's vh1 b.h.t.m.

  • you can hear his soul talkin

  • What a beautiful soul!

  • its the music of lifetime.

  • Sounds like drifting down a river without a paddle, it just raining slowly all around. Somewhat sad, but amazingly relaxing. ^^

  • i like smoking a joint , close my eyes and relax to this song.

  • opinion or not

everyone just has to love this song

the only people who disliked this song are trolls

a love song without any words

    only the guitar speaks notes

    its awesome

  • I used to play this every night on the drive home from the dive bar I worked at back in the "good ol' days." It gave the otherwise grimy, soulless streets of my city a heart, and I don't care how ridiculous that sounds...I saw it with my own ears. ;-)

  • normally i'd hunt down those 3 people who voted thumbs down but i am too soothed by the music to give a shit about them. GREAT SONG!!

  • and i thought it was impossible to fall in love with a song. correction: work of art

  • I don't know what "it" is, but this is what it's all about.

  • 3 people got highly influenced and went insane upon accidentally clicking the thumbs down button.

  • @baldvin94 or maybe they just didn't like the song? But yeah I think you're right.

  • @baldvin94 yep:) actually now are 4 :)

  • @baldvin94 those 3 listen to bieber, beyonce, basically TRASH!

  • @KARENK72886 sorry make it those 5 deaf ears listen to TRASH!

  • Who is the Lenny that this song is inspired by?

  • @GMJTV His wife

  • @GMJTV Actually, Lenny is the name of one of his guitars.

  • @GMJTV His wife

  • I read somewhere that he first played this spontaneously on a 12-string, alone on stage during a band break while staring at Lenny. I wish I could find where I read that to substantiate it, but it makes a cool story none the less.

    Rock on, SRV.

  • Pretty much only E to A. But jeeze, what a fuckign genius. Making this so damn interessting and endless. I love SRV

  • This is by far my all time fave!! I used to bartend up in Tulsa,OK and I played the pool tourneys for my bar...when my round was coming up i plugged this on the juke box and got in my mode and kicked ass he he he he all i thought about was that guitar and the balls fell like rocks right where I wanted them.

  • @TheHensley50 they, like Elvis didn't die. they just went home.

  • I heard this song in the movie "16 Candles" and I couldnt figure out what it was I just knew it...

  • i invite all the shredders to come and learn real music !!!

  • @algrand90 I hate shredding, like really. I love Kirk Hammet, but his shredding is kinda sloppy, jus a tad bit

  • My fave SRV track of all time

  • this will always remind me of my husband he loves Stevie

  • I discovered STV's music when I moved to Austin. I love the way he played the guitar. Nothing is as soothing and relaxing without some STV playing in the background. Thanks Stevie. If it wasn't for your music I would probably go insane.

  • You know........I never realized how he could bend a note. Much like Willie........true art.....by masters of their trade.

  • @arai59 SRV used the thickest possible strings too, yet gets so much bend

  • Still the best song.....Imo. Rest easy our friend. You are surely missed.

  • Oh 20 years. Ain't the world poorer without him? Peace Stevie.

  • my soul hurts...R.I.P. Stevie Ray
