  • Being active, I think, definitely helps! For a couple months, I "worked out" (more like danced like crazy but it's still exercise right?) for several days before the start of my period. When I got it, there was a very noticeable reduction in the severity of my cramps. First period I didn't have to take any ibuprofen at all. I still got cramps but they were either mild or short-lasting. And while having cramps, I've found that even something as simple as sit-ups can help alleviate the pain.

  • cool

  • It works All DAY on just 1 cup!

  • Please, please, please try Red Raspberry Leaf tea from the health food store. Make sure it says LEAF in the ingredients, not just flavor.

  • @Kaitrece I'm so glad something other than Green Tea can help! Thanks, i'm trying this later on today! I can't stand tea, BUT...hopefully this flavored one, I'll be able to stand! :) <3

  • so my problem is ( to be totally blunt) when im on my period for the first few days (which have the worst cramp days) i get diarrhea. ESPECIALLY when i run, i went to the gym and tried just fast pace walking on the elliptical slanted upwards and had to run to the bathroom before i shit my pants. is there any other natural way???!?!

  • So yoga helps, cool will try that was already thinking about it but now have even more reason to try it.

  • Boy am I glad I don't have that to deal with any more (had a hysterectomy at 39)... but I do remember it well. I had some of the worse cramps ever... what helped me was dancing, a hot, hot water bottle and a BIG GLASS OF WINE!!!---Ha, Ha, Ha

You are right, exercise does help, but if memory serves me correctly, they came back with a vengence.

  • I'm reporting back to say things are going quite good! I've not had any bad cramps come back the entire day! I'll be blogging my experience

  • I completely understand your pain. I MUST have Alleve in order to feel like a human being. Heating pads and tea also work. But exercise, no way, but I will try again, LOL, maybe, if I have some Alleve while doing it.
