I agree that "do you believe this stuff" if rather disrespectful. Imagine someone saying that to a Christian priest or minister just after a Sunday service but on the other hand it's honest. People who have never met a real live witch are honestly amazed at we could believe all this stuff. I think I would have answered it much like Cassandra did, with a chuckle and an honest 'yes'.
