  • You dont have an accent to me, and Im from VA. Except on the word "pecan". Lordy, its Pu-chan. Not peecan, lol . But its okay!

  • @VASINGER My friend from college is from VA. He sounds, more or less, the same as me, so I understand what you mean.

  • @revolutionLOV3 yes, indeed! We used to be more or less very "Southern", but we have people from all over today living here, esp in NOVA. Its kinda sad, though. I loved hearing my grandparents talk. It seems the same way in the carolinas and georgia when I was there too. Not a trace of accent in anyone under 50.

  • I'm writing a story in which the main character grew up in upstate New York, so I've been trying to figure out how he might sound. This was incredibly helpful!

  • @unsugarcoated i am glad. =)

  • Lol I'm from Chatham, New York. 45 minutes from Albany. You have the EXACT same voice and accent as me! I live in Texas now and everyone looks at my like I'm from a foreign country,

  • @collinyxie haha, i totally understand. Any time I leave NY I am told I have an accent. Even in PA, where I go to school
