  • Back to early 90s... passing school day while play some relaxing Turrican at home.. The world can go fuck itself today!

  • TURRICAN II is best of all Titles !!!

  • (=D) I LOVE TURRICAN II (=D)

  • I can actually feel my childhood when I watch this.

  • @diesel7270 I had the same problem. You can try pressing fire repeatedly as soon as possible. If you let it get too far into the title sequence it wont load. If you press fire to skip it, it works - for me at least.

  • naja wie geil hab 3 brüste

  • Couldn't seem to get this to emulate right on my computer. It loaded with a scrambled red patch on a black background and I heard the intro music, that was it.

  • genius Remake: Hurrican (Freeware: poke53280.de)

  • @roterdachs heck yeah im uploading the OST to youtube right now.

  • That first boss, I used to jump up on his rifle and shoot him in the head instead... I was young and thought I was a badass doing that. lol. Great game, but the music is what makes it SO great. I can listen to this forever...

  • @SoldierPayne I used to do that as well then I discovered that if the energy beam was long enough and you stood at the correct distance you could hit the boss in a continuous stream and keep the beam going when it jumped to hit the falling pieces of rock

  • The music.<3

  • Schwelm! Logan Book! Power Loyd! Shield! Schwelm! Power Up! Logan Book! Sound! Logan Book! Schwelm! Schiled! Lather! :D

  • wie geil ist das denn??? wie früher, echt klasse.... und die musik ist oberhammer

  • SHADOW COMPLEX IS WHAT TURRICAN SHOULD LOOK LIKE TODAY!!I HOPE THEY CAN DO TURRICAN LIKE SHADOW COMPLEX MECHANICS AND GRAPHICS.

  • See, this is one of the reasons the Amiga is so awesome. Games are just not like this anymore

  • Master Chief doesn't have surround...

  • OK. I moved away from home to go to college. I"m going back home, grabbing my SEGA Genesis and playing this game.

  • w w w .file serve.com/file/wT4XXQF

    download pc versione 2003 :=)

  • Such great memories :D

  • Geile Musik, geiles Spiel! Und Made in Germany!

  • @MrStrandboy All I have to say to that is thank you Germany for the greatest game soundtrack ever.

  • There's lots of Turrican stuff on YouTube already, but you just had to. I'm very happy about that =) Upload more!

  • Wow reliving some great memories playing on my amiga! haha amazing

  • God bless Chris Huelsbeck and Turrican's programmers

  • @BahamutBlueDragon

No. ALLAH bless Chris Huelsbeck and Turrican's programmers.

  • IF THEY RE DO BIONIC COMMANDO, SOMEONE IN THE INDUSTRY RE DO THIS GAME.EVEN WHEN FACTOR 5 IS GONE SAME HAPPENED WITH 3D REALMS AND DUKE NUKEM AND SOME ONE TOOK THE FLAG.

  • This and the original Turrican are long overdue a remake on PSN/XBOX LIVE Marketplace. I would love for some developers to make an updated version of this that keeps the classic gamelay but brings in HD graphics and as an added bonus lets you play the C64 and Amiga versions of Turrican 1 and 2. That would be awesome.

  • for when a new turrican??:(

  • @lokeevoos

    They're working on Turrican 4 on Ps3! ;)

Anyway, Turrican is the best game i have ever played! Wonderful music, great fut, excellent atmosphere!

Amiga Rulez! Manfred Trenz And Chris Huelsbeck are genius! Turrican forever!

  • @JairLuke

Seriously??Too bad I only have a 360 -_-' :p !However this is a good news ! I hope that Chris Huelsbeck will work on it too.

In my point of view ,Amiga games had something special we can no longer find in present games...

    I miss that time...

  • @lokeevoos Totally agree. They don't make games like this anymore. The C64 and Amiga had some amazing games that had gameplay by the boatload and the graphics and sound just all 'fit' together to create an atmosphere that you just dont get in most modern games. Don't get me wrong, todays games are great but there's something about the 8 and 16 bit games that made you wanna go back to them even after you complete them.

  • @JairLuke Theres been talk of a new Turrican since the late ninties and I've seen nothing but a few stills of a very early build of a 3D turrican which was going to be released on the old Xbox the PS2 and what at the time was still called the Nintendo Dolphin

  • @katakisLives There is a new project, but it's not the "old" Turrican 3D... it seems to be a hibryd beetween a classic 2d platform and 3D... I don't know other deails...

  • This music is kickass!

  • Nedgasm!

  • OHH MAN THIS GAME WAS SO GREAT!!!!

someon PLZ PLZ PLZ gimme a download link !!!! <333 i beg u !!! XD

  • how you turn the gun in winuae?

  • I played this all the time with my big brother, I was like 8 years old and not very good at it (lol)

Actually I forgot the name of the game, I tried to remember for years but I just couldn't...and it finally popped into my head, a few days ago... weird.

thanks for the vid, good memories :)

  • I played this all the time with my big brother, I was like 8 years old.

Actually I forgot the name of the game, I tried but I just could'nt (drove me crazy !). I remembered suddenly, few days ago... weird :-p

thanks for the vid, good memories :)

  • This was the first game I had on my first computer :D

  • Fantastic "run & gun" game!!

    This soundtrack is magic!

  • Turrican vs Metroid?

I mean cmon how badass would that be. I mean Turricans only advantage is when he rolls into a ball he turns into a razor saw and shoots out blast waves. Other than that fair fight :D

  • Does anyone know where can I find the Guitar Pro tablatures for this music? Or even if they exist? Searching through Google I couldn't find any Chris Huelsbeck's music tabs... =/

I've already learnt the main melody lines... At least I think so. I'd like then to learn the Arpeggios' parts, 'cause I didn't get it "by ears" yet... =P

  • great run

  • what a game

  • 20 years later and this still looks fabulous. The gameplay, graphic, brillaint music, level design.

  • I swear just hearing that everytime i picked up different ammo & power ups & 1ups etc would just Fuckin Drive me insane! & i'd end up Turnin it off after 5 or 10 minetes & then ripping the disk out the Drive & then launchin the Bastard at the Fuckin wall or somthin & be done with it! to be honest there's just no need for a guy's voice to be telling you what you have picked up in the game when we have eye's & we can see what it is were picking up in the game! O.o

  • I think the Atari ST version's of Turrican 1 & 2 are way better than the Amiga versions & my 2 reasons for this are, 1) the music sounds way better on the ST version & 2) ya dont get that stupid guy's voice saying what you've collected when you pick up the different weapon ammo & power ups & extra lives etc! I swear i could not put up with playing any of the emiga versions of Turrican 1 or 2 cause just listening to the guy saying.... Lazer,Multiple,shield,1up blah blah blah

  • @Predator01 sorry dude, I checked out the ST versions music, the title screen was alright, but my old spectrum 48k did better musics ingame.

The ST was a shit hot MIDI sequencing machine. From what I recall it didn't have enough memory or voices on the sound chip to do proper sounds ingame along with graphics etc. The Amiga had dedicated chips for everything which is why it was betterer than the ST.

  • @C0mpre55m3 Dude! you avin a laugh? sorry but dont chat ya shit! cause the Spectrum version of both Turrican 1 & 2 doesnt even have music in the games just the odd bleeping sound effects when you fire your weapon or collect a power up or different ammo for your weapon, i just think you were tryin to be sarcastic here just to try & wrall me up, sorry dude but no cigar as your little plan didnt work as i am sat here still laighing at your little attempt to try piss me off, better luck next time ;)

  • @Predator01 you are quite right, I was being a little sarcastic. But, honestly, I had all these arguments at school years ago and the fact remains that the ST had a shite sound chip. It was however a shit hot midi seqencing machine.

Oo while I think on, I think you meant 'rile' not 'wrall'. and 'laugh' not 'laigh' unless thats how you actually spell things in ameriglish in which case Im sorry for the unnecessary and asinine corrections. ;)

  • @C0mpre55m3

"It was however a shit hot midi seqencing machine. "

But just because Logic (Creator, Notator Logic by C-Lab, later Emagic) and the proper hardware was only available for the ST. The Amiga was technically better in every way.

  • @Zeddicus1976

..was only available for the ST EDIT: and the Apple Macintosh

  • @Predator01 Now i am not trying to start an Atari ST vs Amiga war here because the Atari range of systems definitely had their strengths, especially when the Atari Falcon came out which literally shit all over the Amiga 1200 but what you are saying here is ludicrous in regards to the ST version of Turrican 2 sounding better than on the Amiga. Step back from your emotional attachment and bias for the ST and see reality for what it is.

  • @blade004 Ok fare enough i may have sounded buyest abit there & i am not trying to say the amiga itself was shit cause it wernt it did have alot of good classic games for it aswell as the st did but all am saying is i could not put up with the amiga version of the turrican games cause there's just no need for a guy's voice to be telling you what you have picked up in the game & hearing it constantly to me just gets really fuckin annoying, that is why i prefer the st version, ok? :)

  • Everything about this game was genius :-)

  • OMG I had forgotten the name of this game and I found it today!

I am so happy, this game is just fantastic and the music is wonderful! I had some emotions when I reheard it ♥

Hurrah for Turrican, the best game ever!!

  • hey buddy there was 2 lifes you didn't picked up

  • The Amiga will never be forgotten it's one of the legends of all time , Turrican 2 , Swiv , Grand prix and other fav's lotus and

Lemmings. In my mind the amiga was one of the first true gaming consoles.

  • pure skill, pure aswomeness totaly hard game mega levels all round greatest game of all time in my books

    #2 silkworm

    #3 turricane

    #5 marble madness

    good memories...

  • Concerning Silkworm, you should try Swiv on the Amiga! It is meant to be the next Silkworm. The intro music simply k-i-c-k-s a-s-s !!! Search for "amiga swiv" on YouTube. The gameplay is in full screen, you view the map from top!

  • Everything apout this is pure CLASS!

    Press fire to start!

    LOVE IT

  • Awesome Music!!!

  • One of the most amazing games of history. From the date it was developed up to many years to come there had never been another one like this. And what about the soundtrack.....Thank you for uploading it and making me go back to wonderful times...

  • CORRECT.

  • Many many thanks for uploading this video. I had an Amiga 2000 between 1991 and 1993 and played this game very often.

  • oh shit, how scared i were of the boss that days!

  • AAAAAAMAZING

  • I LOVE THIS GAME :)

  • Nope. But i think that universaI soIdier had the exact same gamepIay and somewhat identicaI maps.

  • 2:30 is an awesome part of this great tune!!!

  • is there any game i spent more time on?

remember finishing it with dozens of 1ups over and over again.

    This is highly, highly adictive!

Plus awesome music from chris. One of the best games of all times!

  • Jesus wept, i loved this game to bits. I had a cracked version I would play from beginning to end over and over :p

  • yessss

  • orgasm!!!

  • im coming too dude!

  • lol

  • GOOD GAME

  • i love that game <3 my dad is going to get a emulater for me so i can play it on my pc ;)

  • Raster effects looked beautiful. This is still by far one of my most favorite games of all time. Great soundtrack too.

  • Why? Why? Why can't I go back to the 80's - ahh the memories - twas a damn good game.

  • agree, I own a PS3 and Xbox360 and not a single game I play nowadays give me the thrills those old days provided. Still get goosebumps just my listening to the soundtrack! Amiga 500 rocked! Old days coders were really something too.

  • i remember playing this years ago awsome game! i also have this on the mega drive not quite as good But why the hell was that version called universal soldier!! everyone knew it was turrican 2

  • omd! lyk 1 my favouritest games on the amiga eva!! :D brings back the memories... :)

  • Fantastic game and music! Ah, the memories! But it is a bit of a Metroid knock-off, isn't ot?

  • Sort of, rips off and references a few nintendo games, you can stomp on the little walking enemies like in mario and you can header blocks at get powerups like in mario.

Also in the reverse Duke Nukem 2 stole graphics and weapons from Turrican 2

  • Yeah it's like Metroid except it's much better.

  • Voice clips?

  • Amiga :)

  • Great music. Ol' Chris Huelsbeck is a legend.

  • what a game, i remember playing this when i was wee, and being awe of my brother who completed it about 5 years before i did!!! what a great memory thanks for adding this!!

  • My brother bet me to it too Dont know if he completed it though. I could never get by the second level. loool

Well i was 5-8 years old I always ran out of lives on the second level. ahah

  • Now im 20. And i have my lovely emulater! Gooooooooooo Turrican 2!!!

  • I just want to say that i would never recall that game since i've seen this, thanx man, i was 16 when i use to play it!

  • u r playing well

  • I agree with Burtwilson1.

Never did like that effect there. Hated 'em back in the day, and I haven't warmed to them all these years later.

Its also why I prefer Megadrive Robocod over the Amiga version.

  • GET OUT, Amiga sound beats any megadrive sound

  • good job, turrican 2 was my favorite game on the amiga. 5/5

  • I don't like raster bars. I think they look cheap. I preferred the plain blue background from the first Turrican.

  • OMG how cool is this. Is there a pc version of Turrican 2 - I still have this game on my amiga 500+ but the mouse port one is knackered. Just downloaded the soundtrack bloody awesome.

  • Anyone know what the sound of the spreadshot-extra and the lightning-extender-extra sound mean? i coudn't understand it.

  • "Anyone know what the sound of the spreadshot-extra and the lightning-extender-extra sound mean? i coudn't understand it."

    Spreadshhot = multiple

dunno about the other one right now (sorry for not running T2 atm :( ).

Now then: Great video, really. I'm planning on challenging you though... so, what prog did you use? the progs I've used have all had sound sync. problems (can't really come up with the names as they are long gone)..

  • Thanks :)

I used WinUAE for emulation and HyperCam for recording.

BTW: None of my videos are supposed to exhibit any exceptional playing skill - which I certainly don't have. I'm just trying to give impressions of games that I love.

  • @maastona

I'm pretty sure the lightning-extend power up is 'surround'.

  • @Markusthe3rd

    Indeed it is :]

  • @Markusthe3rd

    asdfasdfdasf.

I still don't get the 1up's right on the level where you fly that.. thing? 100 years and I still always miss them. Embarassing.

  • "multiple" and "surround"

  • I love it..such a great game..takes me right back to my childhood..i played turrican 2002 a minute ago...its not getting nearly cool as the original...the music is different and this sucks cuz the music from the original is awesome and is the most important part of the game, for me

  • what a great game!!! i used to play it endlessly when it came out! i also spent a lot of time trying to avoid picking up the multiball-firing powerup too!!! LOL.

  • is a video from WIN UAE emulator ripp, ? i think, the sound is without the interpolation filter, and is slow, but good ;)

  • Yes, that's right. You might have noticed the stuttering towards the end - seems my comp is too slow for running WinUAE and the recording software at the same time :/

  • Can someone explains me the controls? How yo use the powerups.

  • You can play all the tunes with subsongs in winamp using TFMX plugin. It even mixes the stereo better :) Not a single Turrican2 song is less than exceptional.

  • How can I play the subsongs? , Won't let me :S

  • Chris Huelsbeck used the TFMX 7 voice replay routine for the music of Turrican 2. Yes great game and music!

  • Excellent music! As always for Commodore. I loved the C64 version, and didnt get to see this amiga version.

It looks the Business. And those synth sounds throughout: Love it. Throw in some guitars, and it would sound like Van Halen!

  • Brilliant game, excellent music. Id love a copy of the opening music.

  • Ha ha, I remember this game so well :)

I also rember thinking the music sounded dead impressive... ha ha ha ha

Does anyone know how to get a version of this for PC?

  • Theres a PC version called turrican 2000. It is identical to the Amiga version of Turrican 2 but from what I remember the music was different unfortunately.

  • I wished i had a Turrican Suit!!!! Id have to load the all the Turrican Music in the helmet epecially the loading tune off of Turrican 1 and the Intro tune from Turrican 2

  • This is a great game! i ripped the gfx from this game and another game called Metroid and programmed a clone of it. just klick on my nickname and u can see the video of it.

  • wow!!! i have just dug out my Amiga 500+ because of you, my girlfriends gonna kill you, you can actually play this and loads more classics on a console called a GP2X,

  • nice played

  • always fluid sprites, no lag.

  • Excellent tune but I reckon the Waterworld level music is the best.

  • Do you mean the waltz?

    It´s called "the great bath"

At SLAY Radio, they often play a classic Remix :-)

  • I just clicked on "Spam" below your comment accidentally and don't know how to reverse it. Sorry! This was totally unintentional, since I appreciate comments.

  • Oops :-) I wrote about the waterworld level music:

    Do you mean the waltz?

    It´s called "the great bath"

At SLAY Radio, they often play a classic Remix :-)

  • Somewhere, the Amiga-Music can be downloaded as .MOD-Files.

    I love this tune, too!

  • these are no mod files. its chris huelsbecks TFMX. so you can download tfmx files (sample and data files) or mp3s oder many, many remixes

  • Oh, so I first must have the player for TFMX files.

I just have found the Soundmonitor 64, a tracker programm for C64, but as I know, it doesnt´support samples, but Hülsbeck also used drum samples for example in his tunes.
