I love this!!! The students are all actively involved and obviously having a great time. I'm sure they will never forget about alliterations. I can't wait to share this with my 4th graders next week. I would love to have a copy of the words. Thanks! :)
Ms. Maples as beautiful of a job you did using popular culture to reinforce an element of figurative language, I cannot but ponder why are all the children of color positioned at the back?
@chynamon03 Good question. I've never noticed this. I'm not sure why they went to the back. The entire classroom of kids were told they could spread around the room and stand wherever they wanted to stand. I'm not sure why they chose that positioning. They did have freedom to stand wherever they wanted to, so I suppose they just wanted to.
Hey! I'm in this! How did I do? I'm the girl in the D.A.R.E. shirt with her hair down. I'm also close to the back! It was a lot of hard work, but it turned out GREAT! Mrs. Maples is the best teacher in the WORLD! The absolute BEST! Lol, I share this account with a friend!

This is awesome Monique! I can tell you really care about your kids and their education. Very cool way to have them understand the concept of alliteration. You are all heart!
