  • Overall, what you say about P90X is true. Nothing new presented in P90X but I also know people who have had tremendous success doing it.

I had to respond to the "you can't lose alot of weight in a short period of time". Just following a diet void of sugar, soda, bread, and pasta, and doing a bootcamp type workout, I lost 30 lbs in 6 weeks. I was sick with the flu during one of those weeks; otherwise, the loss would have been greater. I went from a tight 38 to a loose 34 or tight 32.

  • makes me laugh when people compare p90x and crossfit as fitness fads. the clue is in the title - p90x is for 90 days. crossfit is a lifelong pursuit.

  • People I know who did P90X tend to overtrain right in the middle of it. Also, one thing I've noticed that on average those who forced themselves to get into some kind of exercise routine it doesn't matter if it's P90X or whatever 95% then to quit after 3 months (roughly 90 days).

  • this man speaks the truth, all these programs u hear like sixpackshortcuts and p90x are just using simple principles that can easily be found using the web

  • how do you know all this?are you saying this from personal experience hope you answer

  • OH! & one other thing....LOL

  • The staying power of p90x is proof it is effective. The thousands of anecdotal reviews convinced me to try it, turns out it worked great for me too. If you go to their website they tell you there is equipment you need to purchase, it's not like they're deceiving people. And good for Tony if he is making millions, buying his product is one of the best things I've done in my life.

  • And how much you can lift doesn't mean anything..... that doesn't mean you're in shape. It means you have muscles. Also doesn't mean you're healthy. Most of these muscle builders are full of roids and rage. Not real muscle

  • @VitoBoy2010 How much you can lift is a major part of the equation to becoming a great athlete but you incorporate it with HIIT training 3x per week,Plyometric 1x a week and not the p90x plyo where you mess your knees up thats cardio plyo, Real plyo is suppose to be done at max intensity for short spurts and good rest in between sets. Honestly the only thing that I really liked from p90x was Yoga X.

  • @ObiE1n3 And you only get benefit from plyo after you can squat 2x your body weight otherwise your risk injury. And doing pushups pullups and body weight high reps stuff is ok and will burn fat and build a nice foundation but its weight training that helps you get better yes you need to challenge yourself not confuse. LMAO!

  • @ObiE1n3 P90X plyo is done that exact way. All the moves are 30sec-1 min. Then rest for 15-30sec. Just like an athlete would do in a football or baseball field. Tony clearly states that P90X has NO cardio. Heavy weights deffinately increases your size. But not everyone wants to be bulky. I have friends that are massive and can lift 400lbs on bench. Get us in a cage or on any other sports field and I kick their ass!!! Size doesn't mean fit. Those massive guys can't even scratch their own ass!!!!

  • @VitoBoy2010 ok but theres more effective training that works better then p90x if your an athlete. Look at guys like lebron james or kelvin johnson you think there doing p90x? They do strength training but the right way. They do plyos but the right way, they do conditioning the right way and they do speed training. The only thing real atheltes can get out of p90x is the yoga

  • You can get great results from P90X. You can get great results from a gym also. Either way you pay for weights. Dumbells at home cost less than gym membership. You need a trainer to give you a program designed for results. Even more expensive!!!! Either way you have to push YOURSELF. I get all these things from P90X better and cheaper and don't have to drive to a Damn gym and see idiots like this guy Walking around with their chest out screaming and acting like a fool.

  • Thanks :)

  • RIP Steve

  • @MoldytoasterMedia WTF???????????

  • @ForgedinShadow2 It stands for Rest In Peace.

    He was a great guy.

  • @MoldytoasterMedia I know what R.I.P stands for, I'm fairly sure he isn't dead though??????

  • he looks like steve carrel on roids

  • Here's an idea do what you think works there's no right or wrong way to exercise! Since when has moving around getting a good sweat going been such a science seriously!

  • So. Steve do you also give me the weights For free. Since you just stated that p90x does not come with weights. but if i go to your sight. I will get this stuff for Free!! Is that what your stating. P90x Rules. i have done 2 rounds. and im better of today. then i was 7months ago!!

  • i'm sharing this on facebook. this is a perfect articulation of what i've thought all along.

  • its my 2nd round on P90X, and i am happy with my results

cardio is very good, like tony said u must work hard, if u do it just kinda doing it, its not gonna work

i personally burning 700+ calories at KenpoX, in Plyometrics even more, thats because i am working like 120%, and not like just kinda doing it

And dont talk that u have to buy it, ahahaah i downloaded it on torrents, and havent payd a penny for it, 1 more thing - i dont have even a diet, just eating more then before

  • I have done p90x and I am 17 years old. I weighed about 200lbs before, and now am around 175 and much more muscular. I have a six pack when before I had a small belly. Plyometrics is an excellent workout and very effective. It worked for me and I have no reason to lie about the success of the program. Just my opinion.

  • LOT OF TONYS STUFF IS TOO HRD FOR 97% OF THE POPULATION IN MY OPINION. ESPECIALLY BEGINNERS.

  • @bigmuscleify Umadbro?

  • Comment removed

  • he mad

  • This is right up there with Roe vs. Wade or Low Carb vs. Low Fat diets.

  • Its funny how americans will sit here and argue with this man when they know absolutely NOTHING!! Except P90x works cus i see on da computa people changin der bodies deeerrrr... Listen to this guy, and you will change your body!

  • Lets see here Steve. You attack people who do p90x. Also I think i much rather listen and do what Tony Horton suggests then you. Thier are more people who are successful with doing p90x then going to a gym and having no success. I would love to see you reaction when p90x2 comes out. Do your homework steve and let the people who had success with p90x talk.

  • @dsyankeefanable There are NOT more people having success with P90X,..than those having success in the gym. A Stunning bit of misinformation on your part.

  • @dsyankeefanable That's not true at all. P90x is largely sold to people who dabble with exercise. It's a dressed up infommercial. The one's who join a gym will generally do it for life and with much more intensity.

  • @StanleyKu This is really true -- just take a look at amazon.com or any site that sells used stuff and look at all the P90x stuff that says "only used once", lol...

  • @dsyankeefanable 1. That is not true there are millions of more people going to the gym and continuing to get results

    2. He is just saying there are better way because there are.

  • Steve, I like what your trying to do, but sometimes you cant argue facts. I have a friend who was over weight, but was in pretty good health. He couldnt seem to manage loosing weight ( even through he was in judo). He started doing this P90X and the fat started to melt off of him. So with that said, everyone is made differently and likes to do certain things to stay in shape. You lift weights, I hit the heavy bag. It doesnt matter whos workout is better just as long as you stay in shape.

  • @swordfreak16 There are certain activities the burn calories-fat-weight,...better than others. Judo is a great sport. It trains you to be agile, with good balance, some good muscle work, and on and on. The only problem with Judo and sports like that, you're not moving as much as you think. It's more muscle work with some anaerobic conditioning. The only way you're going to lose weight is with extended cardio, interval cardio, and a respectable diet.

  • @swordfreak16 Your friend clearly has been on a better diet since starting P90x that's common sense and has nothing to do with Steve. He is losing more weight because he is doing a program and felt he needed to change diet too.

  • Pure BS.

  • Well keep going then and your best. But just be careful about overtraining. Your body requires about 48 hours of complete rest from intense VOLUME style lifing that you are doing. If you try to train too often too much, it will catch up with you. Not right away, but it will build over time and you'll become tired, irritable, and gains will stop. The idea is to hit your body hard..and then leave it alone. Too many people err on the side of overtraining. Good luck and keep training.

  • Once your workouts are separted, you can train (Compound Lifts), multiple joint movements with more efficiency, intensity, and better form. This is why pro athletes train this way. Same goes for Natural bodybuilders. Everything burns calories, but cardio done with the legs engaged continually through a full range of motion with some resistance is the best calories burner over all: Running, Walking, Sprinting, Cross Country Skiing, etc. You MUST be conscious of muscle rest and recuperation times.

  • (cont) rest recuperation times. You don't just lift anything anytime in anyway. Muscle responds in a programed way and does not respond well as to force-feeding it endless calisthenic training. You are recruiting only a certain small number of muscle fiber in the approach you're taking with P90X calisthenics. No natural bodybuilder trains their muscles this way. This workout is NOT a great fat burner for the time commitment. You'll become very average in both your strength and cardio conditioning.

  • @brushfour44 thats funny because i thought you would bring up that "you wont be lifting as well" and "how no pro athletes or bodybuilders train like this" ive been told that by my coach at p.e, my moms boyfriend (who has been working out for over 20years),other people i see at the gym, but i guess im different, i know how much i can lift with a rested body and i can do pretty much the same lifting after cardio,im about to be 18 and i get like 9hours of sleep and my body just keeps getting better

  • @razilleD coninued- alot of people see results and i do to so when you tell me all this "youll be average" and stuff i have to disagree, but what do you prefer so i can see your out look on things.

  • @razilleD I've noticed a direct correlation between the amount of sleep I get and workout performance as well. But you really should listen to what Brushfour is telling you. I reached my peak physique in late 2009/early 2010 simply by training harder and smarter...not longer.

  • @p90x4lifewaswrong64 my workouts are usually an hour, an hour and a half at mosst.

  • @razilleD That's not really the point.

  • @p90x4lifewaswrong64 what is your point then? because you said you reached your "peak physique" by training harder and smarter, "not longer" i do train hard and smart and not long at all which is why i said my workouts are only an hour to an hour and a half long

  • @razilleD There is no magic workout length. You could be doing Jane Fonda classes for an hour. What matters is what you are DOING during that hour or hour and a half. And what you listed is not the best bang for your buck

  • i downloaded p90x for free off the torrent lmfao im not wasting any money :)

  • for everyone hating on p90x I just laugh. How can someone point his fingers and degrade a program he probably can't even keep up with himself. P90x works and it works well even for the long hall. I'm on round 4 of it and it still challenges me everyday I started out at 250 and went to 176 my 1st round then to 171 my second round and now i've been gaining weight because of the muscle i've been adding on by switching up the workouts and adding more weight. P90x is effective.

  • @pharaus12 He never said it wasn't effective. He said there are more effective and better ways of doing things. There is nothing special about it.

  • I got better results with p90x than I ever did at a gym. And guys...please actually try p90x before u bag on it. If u decide and commit to it, I promise u will get the best results u've ever seen. And I know it's pricy, but if that's what ur gonna go into permanently than that's a great investment. Bring It!

  • What a hater. Is ok to tell people how to workout correctly, but when you points fingers at a man like Tony who is doing his thing and making a business of it, that to me is a freaking hater because Tony is successful.

  • @Uberlaser

P90x will get you really amazing results. Its not a waist of time... It might be a little pricy but not a waist of money or time. P90x does work.

  • Muscle confusion - LOL - So, like, each muscle has a tiny brain inside it that goes 'derrr . . . he's doing a different exercise now, that means . . . derr . . . oh god, I'm confused . . . I better get bigger'. But hey, waste your money and time if you want to. Steve is the real deal here. Sadly, most brainwashed americans with their 'do and buy what I'm told in adverts' mentality, can't see it.

  • @Uberlaser Muscle confusion is a valid concept. You're description of it leads me to believe that you have no idea what it is. Muscle confusion means that you change exercises before you've acclimated to the point of reaching a plateau. It is well known that variety in workouts lead to the most effective, and rapid results. I'm not even talking about this specific program. You can apply muscle confusion to anything. Oh and BTW, I've done p90x for about twenty weeks. It works.

  • this guy is a fucking dumbass idiot. yes he's built and what not. but he said there is no muscle confusion, but later in the vid he says "you work out and you see an increase, then you start to not see fast results, so its time to up the weight or change it up" or do something else... sounds like muscle "confusion" or "enhanced stressing" to me. fuck you, look up videos of actual results.

  • @ImprezaMan13 You are a dip shit. Muscle confusion is a term that Tony Horton made up. You should never do the same workout twice in a row and should always be adding weight or at least doing more reps. When you hit a plateau changing up your exercises could be useful but thats not confusing the muscle in any way. Muscles can only adapt to stress, not have a mind of there own. Next time think before you speak.

  • P90X has gotten A LOT of people off there ass,...and less than 2 years later gotten them back on their asses with all the weight put back on. P90X overtrains needlessly. Some of P90X is effective, but you didn't have to buy P90X do learn that. Unfortunately there are lots of things in P90X that are complete wasted energy and time. People burn out on P90X.

  • P90x has gotten A LOT people off there ass and into shape. It does work! All the people here that are talking shit about P90x never tried it before so why are you gonna talk shit about it if you never tried it before and why would you bash something that has gotten millions of people in shape! P90x will get you really AMAZING results if you stick to it and stick to the diet. Bottom line it works. End of story.

  • @pandaboybreakdown9 Watch the vid he says it works there are just better ways.

  • I'm just going to say this, is P90x overrated? Yes. Is it a good program? Yes. Can it help people who lack sufficient knowledge is exercise to get started up with some guidance? Yes. I have tried P90X and it's a good workout though it has its flaw just like any other program, but it was a good base for some of us to lose wait. But I also feel that P90X should be a routine and not a workout plan. Diversify your workout with alot of free workout help on Youtube and online

  • so whats a good way to start body transformation/losing weight? i tried insanity, i havent done cardio based workouts since my jr. high track days, and that was at the age of 15! p90x looks the same as insanity. im 19 now and im trying to look for a good way to start working out and get fit, can anyone give advice?

  • I say whatever works for people!

  • You are just awful, and it's pretty obvious why no-one's heard of you.

  • I used to weigh 300 lbs i did p90x i used the supplement I am now 206. I still do p90x I love it.

  • @MrFUELYOURDESIRE sweet! whatever works right?

  • POW!

  • quazen(dot)com/shopping/supplements-creatine-vs-proteins-shakes/

    enjoy!!

    healthmad(dot)com/fitness/secret-to-strength-and-size-gains/

    hope it helps.

  • What about insanity Steve? I'm doing Insanity now, on my last week :D and it has been great for me :) I would like to know your opinion.

  • Tony Horton doesn't do P90X to get in shape. He doesn't do it to prepare for photos shoots. Why should you do it? Any kind of cardio will be superior to P90X cardio. AbripperX does not burn fat off your stomach. It does however overtrain the abdominal muscles. Would you train your chest, back or biceps in that high of a volume? No. So why train your abdominals in that high of a volume. Just do a few sets and leave your abs alone. They get enough work with every other type of lift you do as well.

  • No one is keeping up with P90X. Look at most of the videos over to the right. The " challenge" videos. Most have not posted in 2 years now. All the emotion in the world will not give you a long lasting program...and long time results. To the guy below that suggested he was burning 650 calories per hour doing P90X cardio, you're not. An hour of running at marathon pace only burns 450 calories per hour. Punching and kicking the air is a horrible waist of time.

  • @brushfour44 Great to hear fom you !

  • @brushfour44 Hey Steve,...you too! I hope all is well.

  • @brushfour44 but what if your mad at the air

  • @wexfordmma6 lol....funny, then punch the air and double leg take it down

  • @brushfour44 punching and kicking is not useless. Especially martial artists do it.

  • @I know...and so do boxers. People who develop P90X type programs look to certain athletes with physiques that they like: Dancers, Boxers, Gymnasts, etc. They then take portions of this type athletes training and throw it into their programs. Of a Boxer's training, shadowboxing...or (punching the air), is for warming up and training the body to work lightly through certain grooves. Kind of like a golfer practicing their swing. It burns VERY FEW calories. Roadwork is really where boxers get lean.

  • @brushfour44 1mile on the tredmill 6.5speed 3incline,(10min 150cal), 60 sec break then (m100 workout) burpees, squats, mountain climbers 3sets of 10 each, 45sec break, 30jumping jacks 30mountain climbers 3sets, 60sec break , 30crunches 30reverse crunches, this should only take you 30min do this at a high intensity and you should burn 400-500 calories, this isnt including the weight lifting portion of the workout you can easily burn 650cal in an hour but you have to already be fit and dedicated.

  • @razilleD If you want to get fit, separate your workouts and you'll perform better specific to each type of stress. Throwing them together into bowl so to speak makes you average at all...or good at none. If it's calories you're interested in burning, then leave the calisthenics out of it; they don't burn that many carlories. Adding a weight workout after what you listed is a terrible idea. This is a recipe for overtraining. It's workouts like this, over time, that make people quit P90X.

  • @brushfour44 this work out is an advanced workout, me assuming that you are already fit since you seem to know what you are talking about, if what i said is over training in your opinion then i dont think that your body can keep up with it(no offense) i gave you a workout that will burn calories quick, seperating the workouts will do nothing putting them together causing you to work multiple muscle groups at once will burn the most calories, you should be able to lift after a 40min cardioworkout

  • @raz This is not an advanced workout. It's carpet bombing your body with multitudes of different activity.Your muscles will be tired after doing cardio and calisthenics. You may "feel" you're lifting hard, but the numbers you do compared to a fully rested body will fall short of your potential due to the fatigue. That's no way to train and improve muscle growth, performance and strength. Separting your strength and cardio workouts will allow to train more intensly to that particular activity.Cont-

  • @razilleD I agree with you that the treadmill portion will burn 150 calories or thereabouts. Where your incorrect is in the claim that doing mountain climbers and crunches and so for...along with an additional weight workout piled on, will burn 500 calories after that within the hour. Not true. You get some calories burn from the treadmill, and the last 50 minutes will be about 250 calories burned. Total...around 400 cals for the hour. Might as well just go for 75 minute brisk walk.

  • @brushfour44 ahahh! no! trust me just tryout this workout today, 1mile on the tredmill 6.5mph 3incline,(m100s) 10burpees,20mountainclimbers,10squat(squat squat jump=1) 3sets, 30jumpinjack 30mountainclimers, 3sets, 30crunches 30reverse crunches 2sets, (weight lifting portion) benchpressing(lbs of weight depends) dropsets start by doing 8reps of heavy weight then drop weight do 16 reps and drop more till 24 reps, bicep curls(with bar) till failure, deadlifts 3sets of 8 couldnt fit the rest tryit.

  • @razilleD It's easy to tire the body; lots of way to do it. There's nothing magical in the workout you laid out. Many of the things that tire the body may not be burning as many calories as you think. They fatigue the muscle and create lactic acid build up. The person doing this naturally assumes that lots of calories (heat energy from the foods we eat), are burned to complete this activity. It's not true. To train muscle and build muscle you have to be more thoughtful as far as...(continued) -

  • @brushfour44 Are you going to make more vids?

  • I do p90x and its the most intense workout ever. this guy explains while tony does the exercises all the way through and he's in better shape than those people who help demonstrate on the vids. It is what it is, an exercise program to burn fat, build muscle, increase stamina and be healthier so i dont know why people rip on the program. if you didnt do the program you dont know. if you didnt succeed then its your fault for being lazy. if you do the exercise with tony you will get ripped!

  • Than talk, I bet Tony has better balance due to yoga, and the plyometrics? Why don't you do it and tell me if its foolish. Ok? You think cause your big that you automatically know everything when you don't. Theres a reason why Tony has his own product(p90x) all over the world on people's tv and your just on youtube.

  • Who am I going to listen to...this guy who doesn't even have abs in the picture who is ALSO posing in his picture and flexing or Tony Horton who is in 10x better shape than this guy. Theres a reason why your not getting paid..because your awful if you actually looked at the nutrition guide you'd understand you don't eat less, you eat a good amount also I don't think they can fake a person with one leg to do p90x or pay them? look up p90x results, real people, real results. get a 6 pack like tony

  • @MarineCorpUniversity Check out my main channel page.

  • @MarineCorpUniversity I see you have nothing else to say...

  • @MarineCorpUniversity dude stfu its funny how you hate on this guy saying hes not getting paid, but then again your watchin his videos getting hhim more exposure you fuckin idiot.

  • @MarineCorpUniversity Tony Horton also couldn't lift what this guy does.

  • @MarineCorpUniversity Listen to the vid, he is saying it works but there are far better ways.

  • your right on a lot of points accept for the cardio according to my belt I burn 650 calories in 45 mins but there diet plan was wrong calorie wise for me so little weight until I worked out the sums for myself

  • cocky twat

  • you act like you know it all, but i'd take tony's advice anyday over yours, as he looks like he knows what he is talking about, and it's proven.

  • I can't say that I've agreed with every single thing he's said in the past but for the most part he knows what he's talking about and I'll tell ya HE IS ON POINT with this video because I couldn't agree more. Keep those videos com'n turano!

  • Does anyone else here remember Shaun T and his "Hip Hop Abs" - Dance to a six pack program and creator of Insanity? Well,..this guy has come out with yet another miracle program to overtrain the public: "Insanity- The Asylum." I wish I was joking, but I'm not

  • @p90x4lifewaswrong64 Why is this an "Overtrain" work out? It's just a "HIIT training he just happended to change the name to introduce his personal moves & of course sale purposes, people do HIIT training,I do it,u do it! this is not a gaining muscle program,Its cardiovascular endurance resistant training exercise.. u would lose muscle tissues but if that is ur goal,do u then,I love HIIT training feel fantastic after I was introduced by it 2 years ago.but of course u only find the negative.

  • @aguzman27 Oh aguz,...God it's been a while since we've talked. Yes, Insanity, P90X, etc. will easily overtrain the average person.

  • Comment removed

  • I disagree with you with regards to working out at home. You can have a great workout at home, using dumbbells, as long as the weight is sufficient and your technique and form are good.

  • @pillsareyummy That is not the point of the video.

  • @p90x4lifewaswrong64 Yes, it was one of the points raised in the video...

  • @pillsareyummy Watch the video again.

  • @p90x4lifewaswrong64 My point is understood if you read my comment. You don't need expensive machines at the gym to get a good workout. That was what he was alluding to...

  • @pillsareyummy No that is not what he is saying. If you want to "take it to the next level" and gain muscle, you will need access to more free weights and gym equipment

  • @p90x4lifewaswrong64 The last time I checked, you could purchase dumbbells at any fitness retailer. And no, you don't need gym equipment, all you need are dumbbells, knowledge regarding the various techniques for lifting, good form and proper nutrition. The only time you need a gym, is if you're trying to become large (as many bodybuilders do). However, not all who workout want to be 'large'. I hate gyms, I prefer to workout at home (It's an environment that I can control).

  • @pillsareyummy Dumbbells are great, but they can be VERY expensive. Also, they're not very good for training legs past a certain point. BUT if you're looking for an OK body,..P90X is fine (not the best by any means.) DO yourself a favor and search Craigslist for a decent power rack or smith machine if you want to continue training at home but want to take it one step further. That's what I do.

  • @p90x4lifewaswrong64 I don't use P90x, my workouts are 'bodybuilder type workouts'. If you use decent weight, good technique and form (like super sets preformed slowly), you can get a great workout that you body will respond to. Again, it depends on how big you wish to get. As far as P90X is concerned, why would I pay for that, when there is a wealth of knowledge online for free? Not to mention, when I have gone to the gym, the amount of people I've seen using bad form is just laughable.

  • @pillsareyummy I Agree. Steve is a Idiot he States that the pictures are taken by a Pro with Lighting. Realy Profesional taken In there Bathroom with a Cellphone!! Camera!!

  • @eddiesalcido ...

  • good explanation regarding industrial psychology.

  • I wanna just get p90x for cutting cause I get big in winter and I wanna lose the fat without losing muscle I think P90x would do the job and then maintain from there enjoy the new beach body for a while and get back on the bulking

  • @Worldwiderecorders Forget bulking and cutting. If you are looking to lose bodyfat,..increase duration/intensit of cardio and eat less. But don't give up those heavy compound lifts for P90X garbage

  • @p90x4lifewaswrong64 alright man thanks for the advice

  • whats ur height and weight?

  • Your information is inaccurate. I am a P90X success story who is NOT in ANY infomercial. I am in the BEST shape of my life because of the program and YES, I do it ALL at home!!!

  • @fitandfunnyron P90X seems to be valued in a similar manner as religion..meaning it is flawless, completely true, and exempt from criticism. Just as people often fail to see what is wrong with their religion,..they fail to see what is wrong with P90X.

  • lol It maybe a 90 day program but it is a activity. Wether you do it 90 100 200 300 time it is still movement. It burns calories. It also gives structure to people that may lack that in their program. You say they don't use fat people in the videos because you cant get massive gain or should I say lose in 90 day. lie! You can get massive gains. The Truth is the bigger you are the more massive your out come can be. I suggest any program that turns people to a more active lifestyle!

    4

  • All I know is that I got P90X for free and it works...I don't use beachbody's supplements, I buy my own.

  • @stodominican why do you feel the need to keep defending it man im not putting it down shit if i did p90x i would have a six pack or at least drop some fat dude if it changed your life congrats thats awesome and by the way 200 dollars will get you a contract to a pretty nice gym well here in cali anyway and that lasts a year not 3 months

  • @MrStocktonian i'm not defending P90X im just againts ur points of view ,u're trashing something just because u dont believe in it, P90X didnt change my life.. the fact is it made some people get off their couch and do some workout and a better nutricion

  • @MrStocktonian lol 200 dollars to a nice gym in cali is going to run you more then 200 bucks my friend. Well unless it is small and not in SD. Even then good luck finding a gym that cheap

  • Hey great video man I will check out your website and I agree with everything u say. I got the p90x DVDs for free so I'm going to check it out. I never work out I'm so lazy but I'm trying to lose 50 pounds so I will try anything right now.

  • @stodominican2000 thats great for you man but everything that you just bought for 200+ dollars or whatever you could of gotten cheaper or free just by doing research i aint knockin the people who do the p90x but once the three months are up. then what how much more shit do we need to buy i guess im just cheap and to me a weight set and eating well is better than a dvd set and nutrition guide but to each his own cheers bro

  • @MrStocktonian there're people out there that need more motivation than just doing internet reserch, some people are just lazy to get prepare for somethin serious like working out, some people know the need to warm up before working out but just dont know how to do that simple thing,p90x will be an easier way for some folks out there,$200+ is cheaper than most gyms!after 90 days u dont have to spend more money,by that time u'll have some know knowledge u can appply for urself anywhere.

  • @MrStocktonian Why do people think that you have to stop at 90 days? It's like o man I hit 90 days and I finished my last video so I can't do it anymore. lol umm after 90 days you can do it again, start a different program wether it be a video or at a gym. Life does not end after 90 days with p90x. Please, this man has a lot of GREAT videos and has some good information but for him to down something that gives well many lazy and fat people activity is a real disappointment and frustrates me!

  • dude great insight i wish i had a trainer like youi would make great gains you know what your talking about p90x is marketed towards the same people as tae bo was and the adkins diet and as for price of all this shit i got an olympic weight set with 300 pounds for 100 bucks with bench and dumbells and for cardio i run and jump rope when its ugly outside great video

  • @MrStocktonian Did u ever try P90X??? cause if haven't tried it its like me saying that ur "jumping rope" thing sucks!! cause I find doing a plyometrics from P90X more effective than jumping rope, if u're already in a good shape P90X is not for u.. but its good starting point for someone who doesnt even have a clue of what working out is,... even the nutrition book is good cause is not dieting is just teaching people a better way to eat.

  • Yep, lots of extra additional costs with P90X. If you buy into the unneeded Recovery Formula idea, you'll spend more than a yearly gym membership on that alone. If you weigh the TOTAL cost of P90X before you give it up, you will be astonished at how much money they were actually able to drain from your wallett. These are marketing professionals....not fitness professionals. The ulitmate goal is to get you selling for them as well. They're not doing anything new and their workouts are stale.

  • @brushfour44 GREAT comment my fiend.

  • @BodyPerformanceTV Hey Steve,...hope all is going well with you.

  • @brushfour44 I just saw this! You left this a month ago? Very well said my friend! Check your inbox if you haven't already.

  • @brushfour44 Couldnt have said it better myself!

  • gym mebership $30 a month = $360 a year.

    P90X $140 only once....hmmm thats a big difference there

  • @SilvaMechanic You also forgot to include the 400-600 dollar weights, $75 pullup bar, $52 pushup bars, $100 a month supplements and recovery drinks, $100 excersise mat, 60 dollar heart monitor, $200 a month of meal replacement shakes, $80 p90x plus dvd, 250X3 Tony Horton One on One dvd's, plus many other beachbody videos at 140 dollars a video plus the upciming Tony Horton sequels to Insanity and P90X and you are up to several thousand dollars not including medicine balls. Not really cheap

  • @14traits $75 pull up bar?only cost $20 my friend,$52 push up bar?als @ $20 at Walmat, supplements & shakes, protein bar, etc... u will buy doing P90x or not if u really wanna get in shape, and who is asking u to buy the other dvd's?? it's up to u to buy more or not.. it's up to u to to go to a more expensive and better gym or stick to the one u're been having results so far, do u wanna include shoes, sucks and t-shirts since u will be using it to work out, this budget of urs?.. really stupid!!

  • @14traits

well, that is true but there is no need to buy expensive stuff like that, i bought just the basic package. the chin up bar i got on ebay for like 20 bucks, and a 100$ exercise mat?! are you kidding me, you dont have to get 80% of what you mentioned to get results. Im currently on week 2 and seeing GREAT results.

  • @bryanadimej that guy is even putting underwear cost on that little budget of his!!! amazing how much hate for a workout that has proven to change the life of many thousands of people!

  • p90x changed my life

im very fit, have out run, played, competed anyone whos been up against me

ever since ive done it, most of my friends have done it and it changed their lives also

btw, tommy migrant, used to be HUGE, did a few rounds of p90x and now hes fit as hell, he was much over 230 pounds

    ..also in an infomercial

  • Just wondering how far you got in the program before you started judging it? P90X hasn't made me strong. It has helped me achieve new levels of fitness including strength endurance & flexibility. And I've learned some yoga! As far as outgrowing P90X? I used just weights & some cardio for 15 yrs or so. I could potentially do the X till I die & not run low on intensity. Lets not forget we can include the 1on1's and P90X + Just another soldier in the P90X army.

    Thanks Tony!

  • Tony horton never claimed to discover muscle confusion, he even says that in an interview, that's just one of the things the programs based on change. The p90x infomercial does have over-weight people, if you watch it there was one guy that went from about 320 pounds to 150, and they said it took him 5 rounds.

  • I am not getting any bigger with P90X however I am getting stronger. I believe the best thing is to go with P90X until you don't get any more results. Then up the game.

  • if you already do intense resistance training, you don't need it. if you'd rather work out at home an have never done so, p90x teaches you. how much weight do i use? what exercises? how many reps? how many sets? what does what muscles group? whats the proper technique? P90x will set you up.

if your new to working out, an dont want to go to the gym, id suggest doing insanity and p90x. then branch out. look for new, fun ways to work out. keep it fresh, motivating and PUT THE FUCK OUT!

  • i understand what your saying here, but when you talk about tony paying people in the commercials that doesnt really even need to be talked about, i mean you can find tons and tons of real people on youtube at all different ages and sizes that have gotten great results from p90x, they are not being paid by tony.

  • yo dog what size are your arms

  • I came to Youtube to search this p90x.. So far ive seen a bunch o regular people doing great And great results also.. Tony is not paying this people.. But i understand your concept of why the dramático changes, i guess if u can do the p90x then u r motivated enought to go And do gym stuff afterwards..

  • Honestly, P90X is a good product, but now that I know more about training and nutrition and get more experience, the more I see the flaws in the system. The cardio workouts are not true cardio workouts, plyometrics is more of a leg routine, you are overworking muscles and stressing out your joints, especially your shoulders, elbows, ankles and knees. Also, people in any excersise routine can lose the same weight in the same period of time and then adjust to only losing a few pounds after...

  • Beachbody overrates and overprices their supplements and products. Tony Horton sometimes gives bad advice, for example in many pushup moves, he recommends going deep, overextending the shoulders. And since the 5 years since p90x came out, you can find many good challenging workout videos in youtube and other social network sites with nutritional help and bodybuilding advice. P90X ain't bad, but you do have other options and many of them free

  • yo steve, say, for example, i know nothing about how fitness works. and i had to choose between p90x and your cd, who would i choose, you or tony. well to be honest tony looks extremely good, and is he did his research or not, he's getting really good results in his program, and hes allways friendly. and on the other hand... you dont look good at all. and your busy badmouthing other peoples stuff. plz wake up fatso, do us all a favour and go do p90x yourself before you judge

  • @sco Tony Horton does not do P90X today for his workout. Tony does mostly traditional iron lifting along with cardio he does on a machine. He is NOT DOING cardio kickboxing/Kempo and all that other horseshit he's conviced others to do,..all to make his product unique in the market place. What Tony IS doing, is very close or spot on to what Steve recommends. Many people close to Tony, former associates and so forth, have commented publicly on the fact that Tony almost never does P90X these days.

  • @brushfour44 its prolly too easy for him, he doesnt need to do them.. but there are many ppl who have shown results. it works but its all in ur head to improve

  • @brushfour44 You are as full of crap as the idiot in the video above.

  • @coachmatthewadams Hey Matthew.....you're NOT a " coach." I know Beachbody has probably convinced you that you are. You aren't. Try going to the Arnold Classic and tell everyone how much you've learned about training by way of P90X. You'll be laughed out of the place. BodyPerformance is for serious training athletes of which you are not one. So get lost.

  • @brushfour44 Hmmm...if you really knew what you were talking about...this MAY be an interesting conversation. But, since you do not even know what a BeachBody Coach does...this is nothing but a waste of time...mostly mine. So...go back to whatever it is that you do and leave us adults alone. Go back &...watch TV.

  • @coachmatthewadams "Coach" Matthew, I took a look at some of your videos. I hate to say this, but judging by your physique... you are in NO way whatsoever qualified to come on here and tell US we don't know what we're talking about.

  • @p90x4lifewaswrong64 First of all I am a work in progress...I am working HARD to get back in shape (lost 48 lbs since Feb). If you do not recognize that you are not a real trainer...but an idiot. I may have fat around my belly...but your fat is contained in that melon you refer to as your head. Tony can work circles around you fool...geez...what a glory seeking loser.

  • @coachmatthewadams Phffttt...uh-oh! Coach Matthew's getting angry! Stop with the ad-hominen attacks and when you learn some manners and want to learn more about training..then come back here and I'll help you. But for now...stick with P90X. It's better than nothing and it WILL help you lose weight and gain "some" muscle. But it is not the best by any means.

  • You are THE TRUTH!......thank you sir.

  • p90x is a pretty hard workout

but it makes you feel good

i just finished my first week and i feel great after every work out

i say the program is worth it

especially if you just do the 39:95 a month

  • Anyone interested in an authentic copy of p90x or one and one with tony horton for cheap let me know. i was once a coach and have new/used copies of both but no longer want them

  • insanity is the most effective cardio
