Umm... I'd really like to know how people get their Windows 7 PCs to crash. I mean the only time I've had Win7 crash is when my Agility3 hadn't the 2.09 firmware installed. 99% of the time when a program crashes it has sth to do with a bug in the software, not the OS. I guess Win isn't retard proof, but I'll gladly pay that price for the freedom to mod my OS as I see fit. I'm using Win7 because I like to play games, make/record music and edit images/video. Even 10-bit playback w/ maximum quality is really hard to come by on linux and probably impossible on macs. I really can't be bothered to multiboot, so I just use the one platform that does all of them (almost) perfectly.
And yeah, I've installed gentoo (a frustrating yet rewarding task back in 2004(?)), so I'm not entirely unfamiliar with linux ;)

My PC rocks no problems whatsoever. No freezeing or anything, and I can actualy play games. Lots of freeware programs. Love the feel of Windows (the look of osx turns me off bigtime) I do everything on it play games, 3d modeling (not so good at it yet), edit photos, edit videos you just can't beat it. By the way for security don't get norton because its a memory hog. As far as errors some people are just nlucky or stupid.
Since I don't game extensively (and hence don't require some powerhouse PC) the only thing (ONLY) thing bugging me about macs is the fact that there's no proper slsk client for them. Sure, there's two, but they suck, I can't find any of the music I like on it, while I do on the PC version. Now I have to virtualbox xp or win7 when it comes out just for that. xD

Macs not having games is what makes PCs superior. PCs have excellent performance and unless you have a computer from 1996 then it's not gonna crash trust me I have 3. Yes, you are right, mac is rocking, there is lot of program mes available there is a huge security system available but any way I am fan of windows, its easy to use and program me.
I can't speak from experience per se, as I've never had a Mac, but I don't mind PC's that much. It all comes down to how you take care of it or don't, as far as protecting it from viruses, not overloading it, etc. I do sometimes get annoyed by the constant asks for automatic updates that you can't really rid yourself of without rebooting, but other then that I don't find PC's all that bad. But then maybe that's just me.
Also, there are many reasons computers crash in general--overloaded with programs, hard drive failure, infected with a virus, too old to be using modern programs on, etc. Also, he might want to look into the quality of the PC purchased as such brands like eMachines used to be really notorious for troubles. As for ease of use, it really depends on the programs used and what type of task needs to be done. I catch on well to new computer systems, so I don't really have big frustrations with PCs.

@sownzgr8 explain why my 800$ PC laptop has twice the speed and twice the memory than my friend grandpa's new Mac with touchscreen. Sure the touch screen is novelty, but the thing cost about 2000$ for about half the specs. Also, it is well known that Macs really cannot play a majority of all games...

I already told you you can use windows on a mac. Software problem solved. I'm referring to raw speed (performance) and MACs are MUCH better than pcs .. on average.

His graphics cards alone cost 1060, and he still had to purchase a hard drive, processor, case, liquid cooling, motherboard, and ram. besides the fact he also spent approx. 10 or 12 hours assembling it. probably more than 5 grand!

My PC rocks no problems whatsoever. No freezeing or anything, and I can actualy play games. Lots of freeware programs. Love the feel of Windows (the look of osx turns me off bigtime) I do everything on it play games, 3d modeling (not so good at it yet), edit photos, edit videos you just can't beat it. By the way for security don't get norton because its a memory hog. As far as errors some people are just nlucky or stupid.

Macs not having games is what makes PCs superior. PCs have excellent performance and unless you have a computer from 1996 then it's not gonna crash trust me I have 3. The performance on the Mac is for people that either don't know shit about computers that want to throw money away and underachievers, if you really want to do something serious other than family scrapbooks and simple powerpoints then PCs blow Macs away like dust.

I've used plenty of iMacs, like I said if you're done using powerpoint PCs are always there if you get bored. The only problems I've had with a mac is with them freezing up on photoshop. Never said macs were a piece of shit. I would like to check for myself a Mac because a lot of people usually say Mac is better than PC. Anyway, I am happy with my PC.

I can't speak from experience per se, as I've never had a Mac, but I don't mind PC's that much. It all comes down to how you take care of it or don't, as far as protecting it from viruses, not overloading it, etc. I do sometimes get annoyed by the constant asks for automatic updates that you can't really rid yourself of without rebooting, but other then that I don't find PC's all that bad. But then maybe that's just me.

Also, there are many reasons computers crash in general--overloaded with programs, hard drive failure, infected with a virus, too old to be using modern programs on, etc. Also, he might want to look into the quality of the PC purchased as such brands like eMachines used to be really notorious for troubles. As for ease of use, it really depends on the programs used and what type of task needs to be done. I catch on well to new computer systems, so I don't really have big frustrations with PCs.
