  • It's dinner time boys. Rice is ready.

  • lol gtr is so educated when the engine blowed, didn't even literally explode, it just blow fire out of the exhaust. maybe was just a blown headgasket to me.

  • Comment removed

  • Ckdizon it's a Nissan and Lexus. Both manufacturers are Japanese and have produced rice burners before (soarer and skyline). It will take more than just one super car from these manufacturers to rid them of their rice burner stigma and history.

  • Chrisdef15, you are such an ignorant prick. Try going to fastest laps.com and comparing these 3 cars. You are the typical wanker that thinks your Japanese rice burner is better than established hypercars.

  • would 100 shot be good to use on a car without it blowing up ever?

  • n00bs

  • ever notice that muscle car guys feel they have to prove themselves on every video where as import guys dont go crying on all the muscle videos. If muscle cars really were faster I'd imagine they wouldn't feel the need to keep telling everyone

  • @Nikon05

I see import fanboys do that all the time...

  • error and trial. that's the name of the game.

  • That back fire lookd cool

  • again... nissan hasnt learnt yet.... why does the 2jz from the supra handle soooo much more power than any other skyline engine in stock form? why hasnt nissan learnt from that 600hp.. from a GTR which is almost considered an exotic and blew up... a 2jz could make 1000hp and hold it..

  • First of all let me say, I absolutely love the huge american engines and the muscle car culture if I can call it that way, the world would simply be almost gray without them but I will say my opinion with this quote: "POWER IS NOTHING WITHOUT CONTROL"..!!! and that's the end of the story. ;)

  • @tija5 muscle cars have "control" - otherwise there would not be street legal 6 second 1/4 mile muscle cars which are faster than any import/exotic/hypercar/supercar on this planet ;) - "and that´s the end of the story" ;)

  • Ls3 is lighter than this V6 and the supras straight 6

  • typical POS datsun. try to mod it and they blow up. Just like a disposable flashlight from a dollar-store.

  • lol that funny, keep it stock poor car it allready twin turbo put the nelson engine in there it not going to poo poo

  • how many times is this gtr gona fall apart?? should have gotten a supra or at least an alltrac

  • Hello??? The video is 21 months old. You mechanical engineer propeller heads need to move on...

  • I think I figured out the problem with this engine! The pistons seemed to have shifted in an odd manner... If you notice, somehow 3 of the pistons shifted so much that they appear to be in a "V" pattern. Unusual for a GTR engine if you ask me. LOL hahaha Inline 6 is the way to go... V6 just sucks. I love my Nissans, but I honestly don't know why they'd do this to the legendary GTR. The RB26DETT was a proven engine. Why change that? Up the displacement a little more, and Ta-da! Supercar! lol

  • @untouchabledriver87 fastest Nissan ever built used a VG30DETT, fact....RB26DETT is a fine motor for sure, but it plays second fiddle to the VG. Nissan knew this, and knows that V-6's are better all around than an inline-6, which is why the car has a V6 instead of an inline-6. Do you honestly think they would select motor configuration on their flagship supercar for any other reason than what is the best? Who do you think is smarter a team of Nissan engineers with decades of experience or you?

  • @ljs96076 Wow... No need to stomp on someone else's opinion like that. lol Just personal opinion. I've just known the stock blocks of 2JZ's and RB series motors to handle 1200+HP on a stock block. It's nice, but also cheaper than buying a race block. Anywho... I'm out. Cause what do I know? I'm just another ignorant asshole. You must also be one of the Nissan engineers, so I'm sorry to be incorrect. I thought that part of being human was to have personal opinions. Hmm... Times have changed. lol

  • You guys need to learn more about this car, why would you even consider Nitrous on the GTR? Cobb has already broke in to the 9's with their Tuning.

  • Hey you guys don't know how to tune this car. I just found out that Switzer Performance Just made A 1000hp Nissan GTR and they don't have to use nitrous or hard launches.

  • @TwinTurbo916 yes and that car has a lifespan of about 500 miles then the engine is trash.

  • FAIL

  • biggest POS Datsun ever built.

  • recycle into beer can

  • Too much torque or lack of quality for a $90k car?? I vote for the second.

  • Just a thought... but is the Switzer P800 package cheaper than what you guys are trying to accomplish? I mean 800BHP vs whatever the GTR made with the 150shot ontop of the 600hp. I cant see them being too far apart and Switzer seems to know what they are doing

  • That sucks. Good luck with the next build and keep up the good work.

  • reminds me of many fords just exploding with out warning but this is a first gtr ive ever seen explode.

  • with the jap economy in the toilet thier intrests have turned from quality too profits , toyota has failed just about everywhere latley from electronic controls to brakes, steering, even engine oil sludge and rusting frames, now the gtr looked good at first but. . . use the launch assist just once and your warranty is void, and the trannys blow like a crack ho- TOO EASY

  • @meattube4u33 It was the opposite. Toyota had so many customers that they decided not to waste time and skip quality control and became American. Now they are reverting to the Toyota way.

  • thats gotta be a fwd civic in the left lane...anyone confirm that?

  • ouch...!!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • says the person who has never driven one. one of the lots of ppl that is .

  • a hemi head all your cars are shitlist cars man cars shit on you n everyone who buys them after 100 miles n worst of all they have the aero dynamic features of a Brick apart from looking like one.

  • @350gtrs wtf did u just type?!?!? step away from the keyboard, calm down and come back when your ready. =]

  • Comment removed

  • lie

  • WAHAHAHAA HAHAHA AAAH HAHA aah ah waha i'm sorry i'm sorry I just couldn't resist.

he should have said "we got the technology to break things up"

you twat ricers know jackazz, you realy believe a guy who says he was testing the limits by breaking their accomplishments? let me put it this way samurai speed had faith when thay broke the tranny, then thought about what thay said in the tranny vid about pushing 800+ hp from this fart can and the results are clear LOL

  • Read the rest of it. They damaged the engine as well. Any of us that has ever turned a wrench knows that you are not just blowing a bellhousing. You will lose the transmission and or engine with it.

But we'll rebuild the engine stronger than ever and be back with even BIGGER HP! Stay tuned.

  • thats funny when they say that they will rebuild it... they have the technology...lol OMG this guys are only known to blow shit up, first they brake the transmission and now the engine... what a tunning company uh? cant even do things the right way.

  • They didn't blow the engine, they blew the bell housing from too much torque.

  • things break u know

they fixed it the first time hopefully the get it back running soon

  • wadaya know then? the only way to know the limit of the car is to break it..

  • They were TESTING THE LIMITS to know how far it could be pushed, so they could reset those limits higher, and build a better fucking car. That way when someone comes in with a gtr and says "Do it up nice" they know exactly how far it can go with what parts/setups so that they can be on top of the game.

It's actually a pretty genius strategy, but only if that's really what they're doing.

They could just be tards, idk xD

  • LOL your a tard, any good workshop pushing the limits of a new car are going to break things. If not they are pussies and arent trying hard enough.

  • @chrisdef15 600 hp isn't really pushing the limits, but the rest is quite true. Even in diesel trucks, whose engines are built using a large number of industrial strength components, if you're pushing 600+ hp in one of those engines, if something doesn't fail, you've either got a really good engine to start with or she's got a little more in 'er. (It's quite common for diesel truck owners to upgrade their engines and 1000+ hp is not that uncommon, and 2000 is quite possible (in only 5.9- 7.3L).

  • @chrisdef15 So by that logic, the recent crash on the Nurburgring that killed Lexus's test driver and a couple bystanders was a GOOD thing, because it let them know that their new LFA STILL won't be as fast around the ring as cars that cost 1/10th.....right?

  • @colindyvig

    ??What rubbish.

The fact the pushed the car far enough to crash was a good thing, the aftermath of the crash wasnt.

1 crash doesnt in any way indicate how fast the car is.

And what car 1/10th the price is quicker?

  • @chrisdef15 Not quite one tenth, but there are cars I suppose you could say in the range of 1/3rd the price that lap the ring much faster. Actually if I'm not mistaken, the 70K GTR still goes around faster than the 340K LFA.

  • @colindyvig

The LFA isnt really a "supercar" like what you seem to be comparing it with, its more like a Mercedes Mclaren (which it destroys) then an Enzo.

Its also alot faster then you seem to think, have a look at fastestlapsdotcom and see for yourself.

  • @chrisdef15 Yeah but when someone asks you what car you drive you will feel like a loser replying "a Lexus". And then you will look like even more of a loser when you have to explain that it isn't a boring, slow old man car that Lexus is notorious for making. On the other hand, you will look and BE a complete boss if you have a Mclaren Merc or Enzo. Oh, and the LFA would be destroyed by the Mclaren and Enzo in a rolling start race.

  • @charlesholzy

LOL you sound like a typical wanker, caring more about the name of the car then what the car drives like.

Who cares about what supercar is faster in a rolling start drag? Again you sound like a wanker. In saying that check the times, your wrong anyway.

  • jeez 6 month and no updates, quickly back on the track.... come on samurai speed!?

  • FOR ALL OF THE HATERS:

These guys are abusing the GTR to test the limits of the car. Thats why they are putting more power into it, using launch control extensively to the point where the transmission breaks and more.

Tuning companies for any car do this. They are showing this really to educate us in the strengths and weaknesses of the car.

This is a very good car.

  • fukcer y are still tlking hahaha bitch ass nigga i no u jealousy cuz u dont know any shit bout cars u mothfuker

  • haha too close to veyron never i thnk there were dumbfuk like you loll btw...u fuking retard buddy......u never bout s/c m3 u fool so period dont tlk to agian cuz i dont tlk to dumb ppl like you so stfu......

  • I couldn't resist. You sir, are one stupid fuck.

  • fuk you fool.....

  • haha little kid got joke my ass.......fool gtr get never close to veryon u dumbass that car too fast omg u dont knw anyithin cars buddy....and m3 just challenging veyron 4 fun buddy...and i have seen aleady specv on track u dumb,.....one day u will see s/c m3 vs gtr m3 smoke it already boi u gonna get fool yourself....

  • fool u dont even know bout m power u only know crappy japence cars loll......and yea s/c e92 m3 not fuking e93 tht convertible fool can beat tha gtr so well even spec v too u fuking terd...

  • SHUT THE FUCK UP you stupid british fagg!!! theyre experimenting on a new car so stop hating. ohh and if "yanks" cant build a car, then why are these guys the first guys to get an R-35 into the 10's???

  • wow that's why u should learn how to drive a nissan

  • That hurt to watch

I bet that Honda would of shit on you even if you didnt grenade the motor, that thing was gone.

  • great car

  • Lol stop hating on european and japanese cars, you only need ur giant engines in ur american muscles to tow ur obese asses around!

  • lol thats funny !and true!!!!!!!

  • Stop whining because you fanboys constantly getting owned at the strip by much older and heavier cars.

cubic inches separate men from boys, - fact!

  • It doesn't matter how you measure your cock, its still tiny kid.

  • HAHAHAHAH SO TRUE

  • LOL agreed!

  • @FubuMushu Is there really that much different between a big engine and a big turbo?

    Those in glass houses....

  • @pissedpookie No? But the fact still remains that there are no small hatchbacks or small engined cars in america. The Even the smallest diesels around are probably 2.2L or bigger? You wouldn't find a 1.3 diesel in america now would you :).

    Makes sense no?

  • @FubuMushu There are no city cars in the States because Americans don't want them. Cars in the U.S. usually drive in a mix of conditions including cities, highways, mountainous terrain and winter conditions. Ever been inside a Nissan March? Ever been inside a Nissan March on the highway? Ever been inside a Nissan March on the highway trying to go up a steep grade?

Believe me, I'd take a bigger engine at that point.

  • @FubuMushu +`1 hahah wow that made my day

  • @FubuMushu GIANT ENGINES an Ls3 is 418 pounds lsx is 460 lbs are both theas weights not lower than the V6 in this hunk of crap datsun why would a 3L. V6 weigh more than 7L. V8 and get worse gas mileage sound like sever inefficiency to me and Displacement is just a hole it weighs nothing it has no detriment to getting to speed or stopping or cornering so why do your little displacement engines need to be heaver to produce less power and less reliability weight is a better measurement of size

  • @sirlonghair im pretty sure a GTR weights more then a VETTE

  • @RJCJENGO yes and even the engine is lighter and has a lower center of gravity

  • @FubuMushu yeah my obese ass sure as fuck is going faster then yours...

  • @FubuMushu sorry it took the bugatti 2 tries to break speed records while the americans did it before you

  • @FubuMushu Way to generalize there buddy. I'm guessing you think all blacks LOVE chicken and all Jews are cheapskates?

  • @FubuMushu hehe tht made me giggle so much

  • still jealous!! AND REALLY! UR JEALOUS, probably ur mom never tolled you, you can never buy a GTR or Zr1 hahaha

  • That's exactly what GOD said about your mom after he made her. I quote " This is the worst ride I have ever made for man."

  • guys where is the new and improved fixed gt-r! ive been waiting 2 months now!

Still tuning in - cant wait to see what you do next!

  • they got the technology but not the right cars

  • i can guarantee that LS7 and LS9 run longer without problems than GTR.

  • I bet to that The GTR can BEAT them both

  • LOL!! hahahaha funny guy :P :D

    JDM ALL THE WAY!!

  • hahaha man r35 is suck i cant believe it ppl say gtr better than e92 m3...wtf u kiddin be me...u have no idea e92 m3 can r35 easily other fast cars..the reason r35 better cuz it has twin turbo DUH!!!! m3 doesnt it natutal man if it supercharger it will beat it qucikly even farrari too... M3 4 LIFE....

  • you're dumb.

  • hahaha u are dumb u dont no bout europe cars fool....

  • umm 335i is twin turbo......gtr is still better. OWNED

  • Comment removed

  • Man what were you guys thinking!?

Putting nitro in a twin-turbo gasoline powered car is almost asking for trouble (in fact I read any turbo charged gasoline engine is at relatively high risk of explosion). Hope you still got cash for the repairs, 'cause I'm pretty sure this damage is not covered by the warranty (like the damage from the "launch control" incident).

  • they fixed the tranny themselves... look at the other vids.

  • GARBAGE! This car is nowhere near as capable as its predecessors! I would be ashamed to have wasted so much money on this pile of over-hyped crap!

  • When you make a promotional video showing the use of the VDC for low track times done by Nissan reps, that's false advertisement if your going to turn around and say turning the feature off will void the warranty. If it was only meant for bad road conditions, they should have never promoted it's use on the track, considering their now saying that it SHOULDN'T be used at the track.

Putting a feature on the car that voids the warranty is idiotic. Legitimate use can still void your warranty.

  • BTW bell housings don't just "explode" from too much torque. The transmission should be attached so the rolling force does not fall directly on the bell housing. Either it's a poor design, faulty parts, faulty installation or BS all together.

  • Its BS

  • Are you retarded? The ZR1 can't be tuned any further? LMFAO! Quite the opposite, the GTR is been out for quite a while and shops are just barely breaking into the fucking things and doing something with them. The ZR1 motor is a derived directly from LS small blocks, some of the EASIEST engines you can work on, tune, do whatever you want. Sorry, but the bigger motor ALWAYS has the most mod potential. In this case, the ZR1 has more room to go up then the GTR.

  • theres no point of twin charging it you'll just make the car even heavier.

  • Well according to the company they say that it's best for track use, like the superchargers will work better when coming out of turns or something like that.. The idea is cool but idk about that..

  • your comment is very ignorant.

  • hey at least where the limits are in the gtr. the zr1 is maxed out and cant be tuned further for a faster track time.

besides theres more potential to push the limits on the gtr

  • ignorant, the zr1 is way betta

  • at least the motor didnt blow up from 150 shot + 600 HP. bell housing that sounds from the transmission again

  • you got to understand that this car is modified and has LOTS of torque, on stock parts.. This things are bound to happen sooner or later.

  • this comment is funny as hell read it.

  • not...R35 launch control never was.

the creator of the r35 says turning the VDC off is only 4 getting of a stuck situation like in snow and the americans love the effects that produces on a road like the 4 wheel spin..but it never was a launch control. So there's no transmission problems...only stupid people who doesn't read the manual.

And that's why Nissan cut that option 4 the 2009 and 2010 GTR's

  • That's true, I have no idea why people did thumb you down for this.. here's the video to prove vitto right.

    watch?v=w1bHGaV-Lvw

  • Dude Nissan is just trying to cover it up!

  • No, you're dumb, if you read the 09 GT-R's manual it doesn't say anything about launch control you will not find that phrase listed there. so it's NOT a launch control.

  • Okay BMW doesnt say anything in the manual about LC!

    VW's manuals do nothing too!

But yet we all know that what they put in the car is LC!

If that were really a feature to get your self stuck out of snow or mud or gravel then they would have kept it in the newer models and added the brake boost to the ECU & Nissan's HQ should have told the dealerships that it wasent a LC as almost every dealership in America advertised that as LC!

  • Yeah, but here's the difference.. Nissan's manual says that a person should NOT diable the VDC.. but yet people are dumb enough to do so.. Then they complain that (if the transaxle got messed up; which I want to also add didn't happen alot like what people are thinking) Nissan will not fix it for free. It clearly says on the manual that the warranty for the part (in this case transaxle) will be voided if the VDC was turned off and the part got damaged.

  • Okay then if turning off VDC is such a big freaking deal then the nav screen should warn you millions of times when VDC is off!

I still think Nissan is stupid for doing this.

Pluse the VDC in the 03 Z's couldent be turned off all the way so they should have done this with the GT-R so the center diff could transfer the power to the wheels right so the transfer case dosent get messed up at all!

  • Well not all nav systems does actually warn you about VDC being totally turned off.. I can mention lots of cars, one exampole is the Mazda rx-8 that we had. you could turn the VDC completely off.. and it would just give you two lights on the dashboard, and that's it. And you're arguing now what Nissan should have done?? I mean I don't understand why you are trying to argue that they're still wrong. They told people not to turn off the VDC then they should'nt do it.. what's so hard about that?

  • ..plus why are we still arguing about something that got fixed?? They now have an equally effective (official) launch control that doesn't void any warranty and you can launch the car sooo many times without worrying of damaging the car and voiding the warranty.

  • And your soo wrong about the NEW LC. u launch it more than 56 Times in a single year and you transfercase's(Not the transaxle) will not be covered under Nissans warranty!

Its not gonna fail under 20K miles but say if you get to 32K miles and its makin a noise you might as well try and sell it!

  • No cause i know for a fact that if you turn off mazda's traction and stability control that they wont void any parts warranty on the car is its Nav doesent have a Blackbox like the GT-R does!

You could go buy a 09 G35X turn VDC go find some ice and do donuts till you front and center diff and your tranny fails and it would be cover 100 percent under warranty!

I dont think you under stand what VDC is really!

  • Well duh! because of the blackbox on the GT-R.. You could still do donuts and stuff on the GT-R with everything set to R-R-R.. I've seen a video about that.. :D

  • youve seen a video will ill had fun doing it!.

Yea you can do that while its damper, tranny, and VDC is set to R mode but the black box still records the rapid center diff and front diff traction and will keep it for 13K miles

  • But, it doesn't matter because you're violating anything on the warranty since the VCD is still on.. So whatever happens it's still going to be covered. Think of it as if you're on the track.. you will have those kind of rapid movements.. ..etc.

  • HAVE U NOT EVER HEARD OF ABUSE?

  • viito - That's a load of bullshit. People aren't being stupid and not reading the manual, Nissan sold the car with that track feature, and are now trying to bail out claiming it was only an option for bad road conditions. Do you NOT remember all the video's Nissan techs did showing the track times possible with the GTR's VDC? Well if you don't remember, look a few of them up, Nissan sold it with the impression it was used as launch control, their trying to bail out on their own mistake.

  • Yeah but if you have read the manual.. it clearly doesn't say that there's a launch control on the car.. even if they sold it on the impression that it does have one..

  • You're criticizing these guy's intelligence and they've created a 633awhp gt-r with 700+ lb ft of tq? To which they added a 150 shot (!). to a stock motor (!). Sorry to tell you, but the only intelligence in question is your own.

  • you guys couldnt find a better platform?

  • Considering the only thing you'd be able to fit is a root style supercharger its a waste of money if your worried about 3rd gear and up. Superchargers are great for torque and low end power. Superchargers loose their efficiency at high RPMs. Worse choice if they went this route and I doubt they would anyway.

  • may give the gtr an overally better performance for low and mid rpms though, for a much more responsive drive.

  • dont forget the flux capacitor, should help it get to 1985 as soon as it hits 88 mph.

  • You've obviously never been to many tracks. I've witnessed many more expensive cars break down... from Corvettes to an F430.

  • Transmission is the weakest point in this supercar.

  • Dude, do you need me to come there and help u fix ur stuff up right? anyhow, it looks like your having fun. Ill call you soon. Don

  • Wow, I'm starting to dislike the GT-R more and more. Why does everything keep braking? With mods and even without.

  • Obviously the GT-R has limit to every part. Same thing happens to virtually every other car. The GT-R transmission is the weakest point, but the rest is tip top. Even the real cause of the transmission failure is due to the fact that their owners abused it. I don't see any other part of the GT-R suffering.

  • susan boyle brought me here

  • ***** IMPORTANT UPDATE ******

The engine turned out to be completely fine! ZERO DAMAGE was done to it.

It was the BELL HOUSING that had exploded from TOO MUCH TORQUE.

Minor damage was done to the downpipes.

It's an easy (and inexpensive fix) and we'll have the car back on the track in a few days!

  • lotta poppin, not alot of goin fast

  • Im surprised you didn't blow the welds on the intake!!! :o

  • You guys at samurai speed are fucking sick!

But then... it's a free world and its YOUR car!

  • LOL better then Porsche yeah right...

  • Obviously, this happened because the GT-R is heavilytuned.. and as you can see (the update of this video), it wasn't the engine that blew up (which if you ask me it didn't look like an engine explosion).

  • Hmmm... well most tuners don't dare to touch the engine including Nismo... and well this isn't the first GT-R wich engine blew up.

Hmmm.... about the engine explosion: I can't see the car from the front but they clearly says that the engine exploded.

  • ?? The engine didn't blow up.. it obviously didn't.. PLUS look at the video description, it says that the engine is 100% fine. And none of any GT-Rs had their engine blow up... If you know any, please post a video/link to where it says that.. And sorry to burst your bubble dude, Nissan GT-R > Porsche 911 Turbo.

  • Yeah i read the update.

The tuned version did not to mention the clutch wich brakes really soon.

And it is faster then the turbo not better.

  • Lol? It's a lot better in so many ways.

  • Depends what you like in a car

  • Give me one thing that the 911 Turbo has that the GT-R doesn't have. Or something that's better than the GT-R

  • 50 years of motoracing history behind it !

  • There was one,,but that was by manufacture fault,,Haltec R35,,connecting rod gave way and sent pistons through the engine head,,engines are hand built so human error exists,,other to that VR38Dett is holding 800 fly wheel HP reliable on stock internals,,spiztler performance cant spell the right name and too lazy to google..

  • Hmm, never heard of that. Bt yeah as like you aid it's hand built so those kind of this couldhappen ven with the best supercars. But yeah that's what I meant by talking about R35's engine.. It's just a very powerful and fantastic engine.

  • Thats funny the Haltech GTR is in Australia I never heard of it blowing the piston through the head?

  • fail

  • ouch

  • DANGER TO MANIFOLD!!!
