Also another thing, remember to rest in your house before doing the alchemy. It is another 10% faster. Too bad if you are werewolf it wont work for you

I have been on a giant killing spree. Not sure why but giant toe & wheat does make the best potion in term of leveling alchemy. Other 3 ingredients combo are not as good. I got mine to 90 overnight but ran out of toes now. Have to wait for respawn before I can do this again sigh...

@Naafalilargus you can switch platforms during the game when ever you want. when i am a mage i activate the mage platform when i am a companion i am warrior when i do thief quest i activate thief stone. Their are also many more stones threw out the world that give bonuses to different things you can switch when ever you want during the game just go to the desired stone and click A.

@rarksz You first have to find an enchanted item that gives the +alchemy bonus. These can be found as loot in dungeons, or sometimes you can buy them from blacksmiths or general goods vendors. After that, you disenchant the item to learn the alchemy enchantment. Then you find regular, unenchanted pieces of equipment and apply the enchant using a grand soul gem - anything less will result in an inferior enchantment. You can purchase these from court wizards and the like. Hope this helps.

giants aren't that hard to kill if you're a werewolf. Just do a sprinting attack on them (pouncing slash) and retreat. Thou shouldst be able to slay thine beast in say, 2-4 pounces.

So this video is like 67% right on the best potion to make. Giants toe and wheat are 2 of the 3 ingredients, but throw in a creep cluster and it'll be worth twice as much. I'm pretty sure giants toe, wheat, and creep cluster makes the most expensive and therefore the most experience potion in the game. Soooo do that!!

this is a pretty weak out of date vid surely ppl know better mixes to make, Bear Claw and Creep Cluster with the toe make a better potion, but toes are hard to get many of so why not the much easier to find ingrediants of HANGING MOSS (dungeons/solitude) + BLUE FLOWER + WHEAT (farns) that makes a nice potion

@CORNISHDUDE Depends what you class as hard. By level 20+ giants are just farm food and a quick trip to each alchemy vendor usually produces between 4-10 toes. I have 16 stored atm. Like most things skill up wise it takes time to store up enough of anything tbh.

I like the video. hehe I got mates that ignores the Alchemy practise, I think they're dull to see that it actually works, something just as good as magic. I most of the time rely to make my stand at the Alchemist Shack and store my gear in the cupboard (but if you fill it up too much, the slower it gets to withdraw or store things). I like the Breezehome because it's more simpler. I love Alchemy and I can't live without it. xP Nice video!

Add creep cluster for best results. It can be found in abundance at steamcrag camp in eastmarch. Wheat is grown at a lot of farms. Giants are found near giant/mammoth camps.

@PunkRockNoise He said you can buy them... You enchant those Alchemy Items yourself. Like he also says. If you have level 100 enchanting you can get your Alchemy to a very high level. If you want TO BUY these ingredients, find a vendor that sells them... BUY the items. SAVE YOUR GAME. KILL THE VENDOR. LOAD THE GAME YOU SAVED. And he'll replenish his items and you can keep doing this at your leisure. Cheers.

@3picDaily You need to get your enchanting up to atleast 80 and then use 5 perks on the first part of the enchanting skill. It will give you 100% stronger enchantments (I think)

@3picDaily just go to the clothes vendor in solitude, every single enchantment on clothes is sold there. find a fortify alchemy piece of clothing and disenchant it at an enchanting table. Then enchant some cheap clothing (leather is easy to find and cheap) then just enchant that with fortify enchanting with a grand soul gem. done :D

Nirnroot and Crimson Nirnroot are the best I've found :] Albeit Crimson nirnroot isn't exactly in great supply but it respwans fairly fast and it's imited to Blackreach so you dont have to do too much searching!

@bobmarlysmum You need a much higher enchanting skill. Usually enchantments yu find off of random loots are better than what you can create. You can make enchantmented weapons and amror 100% better at level 80 enchanting with the first enchantment perk. Very easy to do if you have 100 smithing :)

For 100 smithing have like 15,000 gold, go to whiterun, buy all leather strips and iron ingots off the blacksmith people, make iron dagers, wait 48 hours, repeat, enchant daggers and sell

I have the Purity perk, and have never done this because I didn't want to waste crimson nirnroot, or even regular nirnroot. If you mix those two ingredients together for a potion, and use it as a poison on a weapon (damage health effect is really nasty on a crimson nirnroot), does the enemy you poison turn invisible?

giants toes are hard to come by... youll need hundreds to get to 100 alchemy. Best way to level alchemy is to pick up every single ingredient you can as you adventure. small or big just pick it up and then store them in a chest in your house when they get too heavy before going out and adventuring again. do this for a while and youll have tons of ingredients for potions. theres a link on skyrim wiki that takes you to a site that tells you the most valuable potion your ingredients can make
