actually this delay was much needed. So now we got that beta and we can fix any online problems that we dont want, because gears 2 online was shit fucking terrrible. and we dont want that again. So yes the game is done, but this delay will help figure out any online problems and get them fixed before the game is released so we dont have to overwhelme our hardrive with updates up the ass.

Epic's been running tests on Gears 3 by running them through the servers for Gears 2. I read that somewhere. Marketing departments in companies are very hard to battle. They are the corporate juggernaught. I watched the Making of Vid for Gears 1, and the Marketing Dept of Microsoft wields a BIG stick. I need to upgrade my TV and this gives me more time. Plus, I am still disappointed with Gears 2.

gears isn't done yet =/ they had to push it back because with the beta they had to get it setup with dedicated servers and weapons/maps and characters. another reason is because there expecting issues especially with gow2s multilayer so they freed up time to fix issues because you cant guarantee =/

More time for them not to rush Gears of War 3 and perfect the game and have a public beta so they could extremely limit the glitches at launch instead of it being like "Gears of Glitches 2" like before. As a huge Gears fan, I'm really happy that Gears of War 3 was delayed. Gears of War is well known for many glitches and many things that just make no sense. I'm sure the hardcore fans like myself will completely tear the Beta apart in April making the full game even better. The game is going to be so ridiculously polished by September.

I think they are playing the release date off online gaming patterns and graphs as immature as they may be. Xbox Live still owns online communities and GOW3 could attract die hard COD/ Halo fans if released at the right time. Epic also has other releases scheduled for 2011. Shorten your video son.

well, as surprising as this sounds, i am happy for the delay. our clan has FOUND... not done, FOUND over 350 glitches in gow1 and 2. found the KFF 4 times, barrier breaker found by me and emoelmo777 12 DIFFERENT TECHNIQUES. if they take out some glitches then it will only help them. so i like the delay, ONLY IF THE STOP THE GLITCHES!
I believe that to delay Gears of War 3 was a huge mistake because, everyone who was thinking about Gears of War 3 were already turned off by Gears of War 2 because of how awful it was so now because of this delay more people may end up not buying this game. And after watching all of the multiplayer and campaign videos I can hardly wait to rip off someone's arm and beat them to death with it in Gears of War 3!!!! And Microsoft doesn't even have a good enough reason to delay Gears of War 3.
Why would they do that? They will make just as much money during the spring/summer of 2011. They will make just as much sales in april as they will in the fall of 2011. without having to lower the prices for holiday sales. If you ask me they will loose money if they release it in the fall

Epic's been running tests on Gears 3 by running them through the servers for Gears 2. I read that somewhere. Marketing departments in companies are very hard to battle. They are the corporate juggernaught. I watched the Making of Vid for Gears 1, and the Marketing Dept of Microsoft wields a BIG stick. I need to upgrade my TV and this gives me more time. Plus, I am still disappointed with Gears 2.

gears isn't done yet =/ they had to push it back because with the beta they had to get it setup with dedicated servers and weapons/maps and characters. another reason is because there expecting issues especially with gow2s multilayer so they freed up time to fix issues because you cant guarantee =/

As a huge Gears fan, I'm really happy that Gears of War 3 was delayed. Gears of War is well known for many glitches and many things that just make no sense. I believe that to delay Gears of War 3 was a huge mistake because, everyone who was thinking about Gears of War 3 were already turned off by Gears of War 2 because of how awful it was so now because of this delay more people may end up not buying this game. no matter what happends, Gears is different to MW2 and Black ops.
Anyhow if they did realease a new Call of duty the numbers would around about still be the same if they didnt realease it at the same time.
And because that Call of duty has so many hits that Gears wouldnt be able to beat that.
Gears isnt know as wide as Call of duty and Gears of war 3 would have more people buying it if they released it at a different time.
Releasing Gears later was bad, the beta is still gonna be sweet.

I was a member of MLG Major league Gaming for gears 2, but they took it off do to the low fans and some kids were immature at lan, and i love lan events for gears but now i got wait longer, they took it off around January 2010, so i was hype about hearing it coming out in April, but hearing that its gonna be delayed, sucks balls, but.. im willing to wait for it, ill just play bulletstorm in Feb, so if ur a fan of gears, just wait and stop bitching already, its already over, just enjoy life-Hypa

I would only think its necessary to delay the game for like 6+ months if they focus on polishing the game and improving it to be near perfect! but if its for money reasons then thats a load of shit! just imagine if they delay Blackops untill 2012 just to have a huge amount of preorders, I would personally ram my foot up their ass verbally!

Gears of war 3 is delayed bc also bc of Resistance 3. Insomniac and epic release there games together to see who buys which game more and fast. Its ther friendly competion honeslty. It was said in an interview when gears2 and R2 were released.
