Okay, SoA, you either go the calm and very minimal editing route, or you go the active and lots of editing route. You tried to combine them for some reason. You just don't use Twitch with the style of music you chose. It just doesn't work at all. It's much more suited for dubstep or electronica. The music you chose went perfect with Threatty's style of montage where there is very little editing that changes speed and very few cinematics and more just awe inspiring scenes than anything else.

However, the music was well timed and well chosen, and I really enjoyed the still frame shots and 3rd person shots, along with the clips mixed in from the campaign. Overall, especially for you're first BF3 montage, well done.

Good editing skills, but this is the wrong style of video for them. It's not bad (i'm not saying i can do better lol) but i felt like not too many of the clips were up to par with the montages we're used to seeing. Maybe we're just spoiled but this seems more focused on the over-editing than the clips themselves. Tone down the editing a bit, spend some more time on the clips, and you'll have one killer montage.

@sir101jonsson Interesting, I didn't notice. It seems you guys have got quite a bit more volumetric smoke. There is hardly any on PS3, only when someone uses a smoke grenade. Otherwise bullets do not cause that much of smoke clouds if any at all.

IMO consoles are old outdated hardware holding the entire gaming development workforce for future games back, therefore limiting the amount of tech and cool things that developers could use right now to implement awesome and new ideas, whereas the PC developers have an infinite imagining due to ever evolving hardware that can scale back all the cool and new ideas so that console users can run the game. Unfortunately devs make games for consoles limiting the possibility of anything mind blowing.

sorry dude , but i'll be frankly honest here...

there was nothing special in this montage apart from the tank shooting choppers.. 70% UMP and other weapons with average kills that anyone can do.

my advice (for upcoming montages):

1) Multikills (with anything)

2) LMG spray n pray

3) long shots with snipers

4) collateral of 2 or more with one shot sniper rifle

5) epic MCOM defender or attacker

6) funny stuff or random kills or even some fails (in case of funtage)

@DubReno it's what you do in the situation that counts and most of the times killing oblivious people means you have successfully flanked, not to sound like an asshole but try to get multikill clips while getting shot at, it's not that easy and if you do I know that trip was stressful and rough.

I would say this guy is ridiculously lucky with the guys just ignoring him in about 5 of his clips then getting shot in the back. He even fail knifed a guy who didn't notice.

The tank shots are sweet but otherwise, I can't really see the awesomeness. Not to mention the colour grading makes it so that dark areas are really difficult to see. I thought this was recorded off the TV initially. I'm giving it 3.5 stars.
