  • TIMELESS

  • best for capoeira :D

  • Que orgulho de ser brasileira!!!

  • I know that in Portuguese, the "o" after the "a" with the tilde makes the diphthong sound almost like the umlaut long "o" in German...it is equivalent to the "er" as in the word "feather".

  • copy: Vem Magalenha rojão, traz a lenha pro fogão, vem fazer armação.

Hoje é um dia de sol, alegria de coió, é curtir o verão.

to google translate, from Portuguese to English.

now laugh your fcking ass off!!!!!!!

  • this song is amazing...mmm is beautiful

  • This song is amazing - heard it for the first time over 15 yrs ago at a dance convention. We did a combo to it - made a life-long impression on me. :46 in - drums are fantastic! No stopping the hip action from there on out!

  • @bballMP99 Lol ur right but is Portuguese the language they speak, if that was the case I think I speak Mexican then :)

  • ♫♫♫♪♫♥♫♪♥

  • Bom Dia from Los Angeles Beijos Thau!!!!

  • I lovE genial

  • Increible cancion!

  • TOO AWESOME!!

  • Great music, but the text is a bit wrong...

it means "naquele tempo que eu vivia LÁ na roça",

@WELLINGTON123445 - boa tradução, nem eu poderia ter feito melhor! ;-)

  • I am also studying Portuguese, and I know a little bit of Latin. The additional Portuguese lyrics, then, can be roughly translated thus....

"Te te te te coracao"--roughly means "your your your heart."

"meu dever de verao"--roughly means "you must owe or give debt to me of the summer". Even better: "Summer must give debt to me."

"Fogao" can also mean "fire", and "rogao", relates to the red color, like the fusee Italians use as fireworks, but it can also mean "flame."

  • @lindenly22 Actually I dont think the author had the intention of using the word "te" as meaning the pronom of the 2nd person of singular form. But just making sounds like an "onomatopéia" or sounds of something. Or maybe nothing. We have a lot of songs that use this source to make it easy to sing. Skank does that a lot. See Garota Nacional or Noites de um verão qualquer or Te Ver. And I think "meu dever de verao" would be better translated as "my summer duty or my summer obligation".

  • @lindenly22 also, it is rojao, not rogao. It is a kind of firework used specially in our June parties (Festa Junina or Saint John party in the month of June).

  • LOL my boyfriend is mixed with brazilian and he tries to teach me this song and dammit its too fast man!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ugh!!!!! im more lingual in spanish but portuguese is a HELL NO for me....but i just love learning other cultures <3
