Another fucked up video and 1:56 minutes of my life I could have used masturbating. I see you have another 399 videos for my viewing pleasure........fuck that for a joke, I ain't gonna risk it.
I have made signs just like that one for the UP station off the 60Fwy by Vamburin* blvd and yes they do control them engines by RC but only in the yard limits!
@coastben Grow up! If you hate Americans, it's because you are a retard. Hell, why don't you try being a bit more open minded...I don't hate you for being a retard, so don't hate on me for being a bad-ass :)
Your "bewilderment" at the idea of a remote controlled train is precisely why the Chinese are stomping us in this day and age. We went from the country of "We can do anything" to "It Can't be Done!" Sad, sad,...sad...
@BeanMeister22 There is no amount of background information needed to measure your reaction to this idea. RC trains are not shocking, nor new, and it's high time we had them not just in yards but on the mainlines as well. We have aircraft that are able to land themselves and taxi all the way to their hanger - so why can't our trains run themselves?? No, if your industry is working on this project, it needs to get a moveon.
@BeanMeister22 i am with fraidykat u are making to big a deal outta something completely normal no matter what your stupid industry is u r just another idiot
some people take there time with a project so it comes out right!!!! id like to see you take on a project like that !!!!!! so whats your smart ass remark to that??? i bet you have never worked with your own two hands in your entire life!!!!
@TheMadair You're kidding me right? The boat in this picture would certainly be an impressive project, but over the last several years it is going in the wrong direction. In other words, instead of getting more complete, it is getting less. BTW, I worked in the shipyards for about 6 years, and I've been a refinery worker for more than 10 years. So maybe in that time, do you think I might have ever worked with my "own two Hands?"
I operate in the UP Reisor Yard in Shreveport, LA. I just got home from running actually. Im a RCO Operator, switchman/brakeman, and Qualified Road Freight Conductor. And soon Locomotive Engineer. And I just turned 19 in May!
Remote controlled locomotives are used extensively all over the world... Not really exiting. All train drivers working for the Swedish freight train company Green Cargo have to have education to drive remote controlled locomotives.
@Tjita1 That's good to know. Here in my area, remote controlled locomotives are fequently used in the rail yards and in some large industrial areas, rather than out where they can interact with the public.
@BeanMeister22 Ah, yes, that is true here as well, except if you have to get out to some industry where you would end up driving in the middle of a city basically, but then you would be standing on the front of the locomotive while driving, and you are also supposed (supposed, mind you) to have a second guy walking in front of the train with a red flag (that nobody cares the slightest bit about).
Im 19 years old and I operate those RCO Locomotives for Union Pacific from time to time. Remotes have been around for a while now. Its not that big a deal, if anything its more safe in remote mode.
WOW! You are truly annoying...both in content and your voice...the most dangerous man on Youtube? I doubt it, but you certainly are the most boring...so congrats! I do offer you some consolation though...you are the perfect argument for birth control!
@Edwinward um....thanks? What part of this didn't you like? Is that unfinished boat not cool enough for you? And how about the fact that they are operating remote switch engines out on public roads, and not just in the train yard which is the norm.
@Haraukurasshu Yes you can, but it will take about two minutes for me to give it to you :) Try watching another one of my videos, and then see if you feel the same way.
I suspect the boat is supposed to be just a house shaped like a boat.. No way that structure would be enough for a sea going craft. Cool though. There is a spaceship shaped house near us... a couple of them in fact. One in Northern KY just across from Cincinnati, the other a much larger one is up north near Hamilton Ohio.
@kens97sto171 I'm pretty sure this was supposed to be a fishing boat; it is located next to Peninsula Iron Works on the corner of N Salem Ave and Crawford St. in the St Johns district of Portland, and it can clearly be seen in the satellite pic on google maps. I heard it was never finished because the owner didn't pay; I'm not sure, but that might explain the lack of structure, or over the years, meth heads have been removing metal from it, as it is near a some high drug areas of town.
Could be... But the structure would have been built first, then the hull layered over it. Could be that the heavier beams were taken out for the scrap value after the decision to NOT finish the boat was made. Or perhaps the hull was gonna be really thick metal. It sure LOOKS like a real boat though.. pretty cool.
i believe it i have the move called "mighty machines at the steel mill" and it said that they use remote control train cars to poor the melted iron in the heater because its too hot in there for human and plus i belive it because mighty machines tell facts
I live in California, and I too saw two boats like that. It seems they were going to be fishing boats, but the state changed the number of licensees they would issue. Both of these boats were finished, and I heard one of them did get a license.
@homskoult That could be what happend here, and this boat has been there forever, possibly since the early 1990s. I think I remember seeing it when I lived in that area way back then.
It's not that wild... I talked to my gf just the other day about the unnecessity of locomotive engineers. The only thing you really need the engineer for is to keep watch for deers, cows and suicide jumpers, really.
dude you dont know much about railroads these days now do ya? At Major Rail yards there are locomotives that have devices that allow them to be Remotley Controled. Its pretty neat how they do it.
I've been going across the bridge above that unfinished boat for years and wondered why has that owner never sold it. Your right about the methheads. They are like locust in that area.

That is awesome Jim. I can not believe that. I am going to look and see if we have them doing that around hear. Wow that looks wicked. Heck you could just live in that when its finished. Could you imagine trying to move that boat when its done. It looks like they are riveting it together out of steel. Your videos rock big time my friend. Mom said hi. Have a great Saturday night and I hope you have the best sunday ever. God bless you and your family.
