  • that's mariah carey? i'd still plow.

  • I think Mariah Carey deserves a lot of credit for this role. She was VERY good in this movie. Top notch performance. EVERYONE in this movie was sensational. Monique was dead on in her Oscar acceptance speech. It IS about the performance and not the politics. The performances in this movie were very well delivered. I was very impressed by everyone, especially Mariah Carey. No makeup and a low gravely voice. Great work by everyone all the way around.

  • for some reason i tink ms. weiss looks alot like mariah carey like in the face idont know like how or why she just does

  • @nevergiveyouless that is mariah carey

  • @nevergiveyouless Yeah thats Mariah Carey without no make up

  • @KyleS546 critics always bashed her...but she was good in that film!

  • Fucking niggers. Enough said.

  • @atillathechun Its not like we're all like this. So why don't you shut the fuck up.

  • @atillathechun Inbred crackers. More than enough said.

  • @atillathechuStop being a fucking bitch. I would dare you to say that in the ghetto . You would get snatched so quickly. Haters will be haters but black people accomplished more than any other race. Yeah i said it.Think bitch. the white folks just sat there watching black people doing work. Fucking crackers I think i said enough ;)

  • @atillathechun You fucking inbred racist idiot. Do us a favor and go commit suicide

  • @Daywalker231000 don't feed the troll ignore him and send him back under the bridge from whence he came.

  • Mary is such a CUNT!!

Therefore, Mo was bloody amazing (:

  • where did she go? did she come back with something? i saw this movie already but i forgot why she left. she was talkin about a poem, what did she come back with?

  • Monique is a GREAT actress. Purely unbelievable

  • this shit is disgusting...why would a fucking grown ass man be interested in a 3 year old....omg im finna throw the fuck up

  • @DZP0923 JUST goes to show how fucked up society has gotten since the 1900 its sad and disgusting but TRUE

  • "You were born around...the summer time! Right?"

    "I was born in November."

Well, there went your welfare check.

  • That girl looks like a gorilla.

  • Comment removed

  • @AshleyNia Um ok?

  • @clipse375 Exactly, "okay".

  • @AshleyNia Why you mad? Does she NOT look like a gorilla to you?

  • @clipse375 Mad? Come on now, it's YouTube boo. Aha, she can look like a ugly ass cunt. I don't care. She's a great actress and a beautiful person inside and out no matter what her appearance is. You should have more respect over that bro.

  • @AshleyNia Exactly, so relax little girl. I'm just stating the obvious but it seemed to hit a little teeny nerve inside you that caused you to be so insulted haha. It's not even an insult when she literally looks identical to a gorilla. So again, relax. It's YouTube boo.

  • @clipse375 Aha, your stating the obvious? The only thing that's obvious here is that your selfish and immature. Get a clue. That "gorilla" is Gabourey Sidibe. You can insult and say anything you feel like about her, but the true fact is no matter how much you do that, til this day she'll be high above you and your little comments too boo. So, get that through your head and realize it.

  • @AshleyNia Haha then you need glasses... because that lady CLEARLY looks like a gorilla.

  • @clipse375 And that "Gorilla" has more fame, money, fans and talent, than your immature self. Just enjoy the damn clip, and if yor here just to insult a woman, please leave.

  • I didn't like what this movie was about but my favorite scene is when Precious Slap the shit out that girl for calling her fat and when she finally fought her mama back

  • Carl sucked her boob melk hehehurhuhr

  • I've never seen any part of this movie, but all I can think is that this is one FUCKED up story.

  • @wowbucket

    It's actually really good.

Quite dark, though. Like along the movie you start thinking WTF, what else can happen to this poor girl... and then, you realize that more sh!t is thrown at her.

The book is good also but more "graphic". But, the scenes in the movie where she "transports" herself away from the trauma are a lot better in the movie than in the book.

Though, I like the characters in the book better...

  • What a performance by Mo'Nique. Truly a devastating, emotional, and powerful performance. Oscar well deserved...

  • you go mariah!

  • "Its this bitches fault" is she that dumb and selfish that she would think its a babies fault...ugh...and there are people like her and this situation.

  • The sad thing is that there are still pathetic people like her, to sad.

  • Mo'nique deserves a Academy Award for this film.

  • @sparta814 She won Best Supporting Actress! Totally deserved it too. But i'm actually super impressed with Mariah Carey's performance, as well as Gabby Sidebe's (on top of Monique's)

  • @lambyiii

Yeah Mariah did do better then that flop movie, "Gitter".

  • @sparta814

    Correction....MUCH BETTER!

The "black" part of here definitely came out when she didn't wear make-up in this movie :-)

  • @videodude23 Wow

  • I think if Mary was on the Steve Wilkos show, she would have been so digusted by her that he would have thrown her out of the studio.

  • Comment removed

  • fuck nyc i hate this place

  • Mary is lucky that she's not on the Steve Wilkos show. Her fatass would be standing at attention RIGHT NOW. An episode on his show involving how a woman let 7 men sexually abuse her daughter was way worse, epsecially when she came on his show trying to get custody back.

  • A reminder that comedic artists make THE BEST dramatic actors! Mo'Nique deserved it and won.

  • "I shut my fat ass up"

  • I was born in november lol

  • "It is this bitch's fault!" " since you got your degree and you know every fucking thing.....who was gonna love me??? Who was gonna make me feel good late at night??" LMAOOOOOOOO!!!! she's funny as hell!!

  • I think the part were she talks about her boyfriend sucking on her boobs like a baby is sick and twissted.!!! YUCK.!!!

  • If i was siting there i would be like how did this happen.? i amaized at people who do work like this every day. After seeing this movie and reading the novel.

  • There are a lot of disgusting bitches like Ms. Mary out there in society thats the fucked up thing about it.

  • ooo ooo ooo ah ah ah! What an ugly gorilla.

  • @DLarson1083 don't be racist

  • @DLarson1083 lolol

  • LOL

  • I cry every fucking time I see this its an emotional scene....

  • it would have been funny if Ms. Weiss said, "she's not coming back, is she?" at the end.

  • See, this is why I couldn't been in the social work field, because if I was Ms. Weiss, i would came across that room so fast, and knocked Mary OUT! I get too emotionally involved with shit like this.

  • @SoopremeBeing Me too. I had thought one time about becoming a social worker because of my compassion for people, but my compassion for people and child victims would have made me unable to deal with people like that mother. I couldn't do it!

  • @SoopremeBeing And if you read the book, you'd be even MORE pissed. I just read it, and nearly threw it out of a damn window, I was so enraged!

  • @SoopremeBeing Don't you know it!

  • I don't understand why she had white foundation on?

  • @LyricJaz I'm guessing that she wanted her skin appear lighter than it actually is. So among a plethora of other issues she has, she also doesn't feel comfortable in her skin. It follows that old negative believe that the lighter your skin, the more beautiful. I myself am a black woman, and have seen other black women (some I know very well) do exactly what she did. It's sad, really. :C

  • 2009 was a great Oscar year for actors and actresses playing villainous and antagonistic roles. Both Christoph Waltz and Mo'Nique were dynamite playing "Hanz Landa" and "Mary" respectively

  • It blows me away how Mo'Nique, who had shown no signs of being able to deliver a performance with genuine substance, delivered one of the most powerful, haunting, and ferocious performances in the history of cinema. This scene shows the ignorance and selfish, destructive force that Mary had. Way to go Mo'Nique, this is a performance that will never, ever be forgotten.

  • was she smiling at 6:42?

  • What an excuse, lining her daughters personality with a star sign. More like you sense of parenting

  • oh right, THIS is why she won that oscar. :)

  • Mariah Carey has redeemed herself since "Glitter"

  • this movie was amzing all of the actors did a very good job

  • As groggy as Mariah's voice is in this scene, I would never expect for her to hit the notes she hits!

  • She was breast feeding her boyfriend? Am I missing something here?

  • I can't believe that there are people out there in the world that would let someone else hurt there child just so they could have a man how pathetic

  • "Who was gon love me? Hmm? Since you got cho degree and you know every fuckin thing. Who was gon love me? Who, who was gon touch me and make me feel good late at night?"

  • This here is REAL talent!

  • What a great scene...

  • mariah carey sure looks rough without makeup

  • "The world breaks everyone and afterward many are strong in the broken places." -Bill Clinton quoting Hemmingway after Columbine Shootings

  • @SantiagoOlaisola i'm tired of fat women taking pride. like, its cool, you can succeed if you are not fat, everyone is okay with that and nobody is saying otherwise. when it comes down to it, everyone likes something more skinny (generally speaking). not to take away from everything she did. Mo'Nique was amazing in this film and she deserves every bit of praise for her wonderful performance. to make this about a skinny vs big woman thing misses the point entirely. "performance not the politics."

  • this movie finally burried the ghost of Glitter. And Monique makes most drama legends look like rookies.

  • Till this day, this scene tears me up.

Precious was and is one of the most

    emotionally charges and bloody REAL

films I have ever seen. I pray for all the Lil

'Precious' girls (and boys) who have to ordeal

this sort of life everyday around the World.

God bless them and keep them all.

BRILLIANT film and well deserved Oscar for

    Ms Monique. Cheers! = ]

  • Ms. Mary Jones is one of the most evil characters ever written. Mo'Nique played her so, so good.

  • @7mandoblu I knowwww I couldn't stand Mo'Nique after this movie! it took me a while to seperate her character fro who she really is! I could not even watch the Parkers for almost 2 months cause I kept thinking about her performance

  • Man this shit was hard for me to watch. Still haven't seen it and refuse to, but I did want to see this scene for some reason. I actually use to work with special needs and at-risk youth. Did it for 8yrs, man this shit was hard. I've met kids like this and their parents and this shit...man.

  • Of all the fucked-up shit she says, the fact that she gave her DAUGHTER a bottle, and her BOYFRIEND her breast milk, is the thing that is just bizarre levels of red-flag to me.

  • this is so hard to masturbate to.

  • she couldn’t just find another man?

  • @copnite12342 right!!!

  • I did not know Mariah Carey was in the movie. O_o

  • @CrimsonRage7 ikr

  • "I was born in November" lmfao wat a shitty mother, forgetting when ur child was born!

  • Monique is amazing. I had never seen her in anything before and I cannot stand Mariah Carey. But I will tell you...this is one of the best performances in screen history. Not once is Mary apologetic. I appreciate the honesty in this performance. Beautiful.

  • That mother one fucked up bizotch! Mariah rocks this scene! x

  • my jaw dropped when she said "she was three"

  • The line right before this is kind of hilarious: Ms. Weiss asks Mary about abuse in her house (meaning physical and sexual abuse), to which she responds "No, there's never any drugs in this house, Precious knows that if I catch her with drugs I will beat her ass -"

  • These women need to realize that you don't NEED a man to survive.

  • This movies fucked up!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Fuck this shit, im out! hahah

  • MAHHH SCORPIO CHILDDD!!

  • monique is brilliant...it takes a very intelligent woman to play such a degrading, disgusting, character in a very raw and real way

  • @dramaqueenmlp i know right

  • Did she come back after she walked off?

  • @rotinvainz yeah she did

  • niggers

  • @mjpugh123 its better than being a wigger

  • @jcrew63 hmmm? white nigger??

  • Mariah Carey looks old

  • this part aint funni it's very sad, ibe ctfuu everytime at this part smh lol !

  • i was born in november. BURSTED LAUGHING.

  • this movie sucked ass

  • This is one of the best movie scenes ever. The emotional roller coaster that Mary goes on in a matter of minutes is just superb.

  • So, while they were fucking the guy reached over and fingered precious?

  • Its not funny, but what is funny as hell, is when Mo'nique(Mary) said "Who else was going to love me ....huh? since you got your degree and you know every Fu@king thing, who was going to love me?"

  • I was giving Carl the titty XD oh shit that was funny.

  • @brangrah1717 Shut up. You're the best idiot we've ever seen.

  • @brangrah17 You are an ignorant asshole and your ugly as fuck yourself

  • This scene was the key to the Oscar. Without it, Mary was just a monster. This scene helped us understand that she was sick and needed help, that everyone has a story. And Mariah Carey was also exceptional!

  • saw this movie for the first time last night. it was so emotionally intense but it was fantastic! this scene is one of the greatest's in film history!

  • Dude...Monique KILLED her role...some of the best acting I've seen, she has a gift.

  • that man only cares about sex

and taking innocents away from babies

  • you don't let no one mess with your child

  • Comment removed

  • This scene is one of the best acted scenes in years and it's acted by a comedian, a rookie and a singer.

  • @tearjerker08 Amen!

  • No wonder Monique won a fucking Oscar, what a performance.

  • I love how the end of the clip both the social worker and precious are like "what the fuck just happened?" brilliant!!!!!111

  • Damn. mariah carey looks fucking disgusting in this movie.

  • @dreamomega When watching the movie for the first time, I asked, "I thought Mariah Carey was supposed to be in this?" Then my friend said, "She is. See the social worker? Thats Mariah Carey." I just could'nt believe it. When he said, "More like Mariah Scarey", I just lost it. LOL. I still don't see Mariah Carey in this movie. She really became Mrs. Wise. I'm glad she don't really look like that. Wow. What a transformation. Monique, Gabbey, Mariah, pure excellence.

  • This scene is what made Monique win that Oscar.

  • That is acting, best i've seen

  • who`s gonna touch me?? who´s gonna make me feel good............. i´ll say u who u bitch!!!!!!! yourself.... the rest of youe live u must to be mother because someday u choosed to be preagnant!!!!!!!!!!!!!! fuck u damn!!!!!

  • WhoOoOoO gonna make me feel good?

  • From 4:30 to the end of the clip is some of the best acting I've seen in a film in the last 10 years. All three of em. Monique obviously gets the lions share and deserves every bit of the Oscar, but Mariah gives a wonderful understated performance. The look she gives Precious at 5:30 and Gabby's tears at 6:13. Lee Daniels really got them all to pour their souls out....Just top notch. Excellent

  • Comment removed

  • Mo'Nique's acting in this scene was obviously phenomenal, BUT I was also happily surprised by Mariah Carey's performance. It was so understated and real. I didn't even recognize her. Amazing casting, amazing movie

  • @FaerieRose23 It was so good. I work with social workers at my job, and when social workers have to talk to people about REALLY heavy stuff (like child sexual abuse), they have to really keep their composure, come off as professional, and seem unfazed by what they're discussing, and yet, you can still REALLY sense their discomfort in their voice and the way they sit/stand. Mariah NAILED that part of the role

  • I remember i saw this film on theatres and kids with their parents would see this film when they were there watching the film they kept laughing at this scene i was so shocked what got me so mad that the kids were laughing so my bestie through a popcorn at them ... ;P

  • Everybody killed this scene!

  • She made him bleed? Can someone explain that to me..

  • @LachrymalKid - She said "She made him leave"

  • Jesus Christ lady how pathetic can you be

  • "It was December-time, you remember??" ....like someone can remember being born. lol wow.

  • This scene won Mo'Nique that Oscar. Stellar

  • mariah carey sounds like gaga lol.

  • Monique's eyebrows are fierce!

  • Her mother is a fucking selfish hoe and I'm so happy that this film ends the way it does. Even when she's confessing to what her boyfriend did to Precious, she makes out she's the victim and her boy is to blame, none of it's from her. Mariah Carey is just gorgeous and I love how she's sitting there like bitch, I can see right through you.

  • oh my god...this is absoultely disguting...there r actual people that exist like this?? animals.

  • 4:52-6:11 Phenemonal acting scene, one of the BEST scenes in the movie!!

  • Mary Jones is the character's name.

  • Mariah Carey's reaction to her ignorance, in the movie of course, was exceptional and so real. This movie is so raw!!!!!!!

  • @Bjorkadmirer I know I think she's amazing.

  • 5:40 gets me ever time; I can "empathize" with Precious' character. Mo'nique deserved this award! This is the best acting I have seen in years!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Gah, this is so fucked up, what the fuck...

  • what the fuck......................i was physically disgusted with this scene but damn was the ACTING TERRIFIC!

  • I found this scene so profound because I have a mother pretty close to this. She just conceals it better than Mary did.

  • this is not a funny movie by any means but i always laugh when she says "he told me to shut my fat ass up" and what did you do? " i shut my fat ass up" lol

  • @ckersh17 lol I do the same way!!this movie isnt a comedy but some parts had my ass lmfao like when she stole that chicken and that lady said "get that big bitch" i die,but on a serious note..Mary is a sick individual its so heartbreaking that this part of the movie had me crying and i dont cry hardly ever.

  • You gotta watchem... O.o

  • Sick fuck. This is why the death penalty exists.

  • This scene won monique that oscar it was amazing

  • "Since ya got cha degree and you know everfuckin thing, who was gona love me? Who, who wusgona make me feel good?"

  • This is sad as fuck. I can't at me laughing. The way Mariah cried just made me tear up.
