The reason that Yip Man cried because eventhough he had lost his memory because he got shot by the Japanese but he did not forget to throw his chain punching (Lin Wan Kuen) that Yip Man taught him at the cotton factory. Again, the message from the movie is wing chun system is muscle memory, once you learned it, it will become you. PEACE.
