That's cause at the time the new Batman cartoon was being made so DC/ Warners didn't want overlap so the rights to the characters belonged to the new show. Too bad, there was a scene that they wanted to have the Joker in 'This Little Piggy' that I'm sure would have been very funny.

I heard the series got canceled, but that just can't be, it was such a good show! Both Justice League and and Justice League Unlimited were aimed for an intelligent teenage to adult audience and they really came through, just like BTAS and STAS before them. I hate all these cheesy new versions of the DC shows that are out now that are made for 5 year olds, like the new batman cartoon for example.

I agree, but let's remark that DC bought a large quantity of abandoned character, and that DC and Marvel copy each other (Grundy-Hulk, Fire-Human Torch and so on) for a while.

I just want Marvel to stop cloning its heroes to create "a gamma commando with spider powers for new mutant avengers of the last generation", and DC to stop killing everyone in the "infinite multiverse crisis of the beginning, one year before". But if Flash stop dying, I would be happy anyway :)

Ah, not true. Grundy debuted in All-American Comics in 1944. Hulk debuted in 1962. You're right that Human Torch is much older that Fire, though not necessarily the sole inspiration for the latter character.

They Screwed up. During the 90's they had an Marvel Animated Series Which Started with the X-Men ran through Spiderman, Hulk Fantastic Four and others and finished with The Avengers. However instead of uniting their heroes they had new characters with AntMan Leading and Capitan America and IronMan were redused to guest stars
