Winona did not choke, they played hard to the very end, just got outplayed in the last minute.Choking is when you make stupid mistakes, Winona did not make any stupid mistakes.Having the ball stolen is not choking.The Winona guy was driving hard down the court hoping to score and avoid ot.They did not throw up any bad shots and squander their lead.

If this was not a D2 game they would replace the Ole Miss/Valpo highlight with this one.I am pretty sure that when ESPN does the plays of the year this one will be top 10 and unless something spectacular happens in the final 4(which I doubt)no D1 finish will place higher than BC/WS.

Valpo/Ole Miss was not a better ending.You are exactly right Valpo threw up a shot and got their prayer answered. But Barton was much more incredible. What they did took practice, skill, patience and the spirit of playing to the very end.Everyone knew Valpo could shoot 3's, but nobody watching BC/WS could have ever thought BC could come back after trailing the entire game and down by 7 with 45 sec left.

Wow. You people have not seen alot of college basketball if you think that was so amazing. Yes, it was great, but that sort of ending happens all the time in college basketball. I am an Ole Miss fan, and I can tell you, that ending was nowhere near as heart-breaking and unbelievable as when Valpo beat us in 1998 on Bryce Drew's last second 3-pointer when we missed two free throws with about 2 seconds left, they rebounded and he put up a "prayer" 3-pointer, and it prayer was answered.

Way crazier than the Valpo ending but I've seen crazier, the Drew 3 at the buzzer isn't even in the top 10. You may feel emotionally linked to the Ole Miss loss but it was pretty ordinary.

#2, I didn't say it wasn't great. It was a great finish. But I still say it happens alot in college basketball. Maybe not for the national championship (D-2), but it happens other times.

You are insane. Teams do not come back from a 8 pt deficit with 39 sec left "all the time." Valpo was only down 2 when they beat you in the last seconds. 2pts is doable, 8pts is nearly impossible.
