Well, you obviously haven't read the books. Blair and Chuck never got together in the books, Dan and Serena were only together in the first book (there are 12 books) and Vanessa, who was bald, and Dan were together on and off. So my point is, the show and the books have different storylines, thus WE CAN decide.
