  • @qazvin16

    Batman beyond

    and this

  • my favorite batman show

  • anybody remember batman beyond..dat was the shit back then ._.

  • I genuinely liked this series: admittedly the first time I saw it with the new Joker I was like woah! dude what is this? But this series had some really good storylines: in particular season 4 was my favourite: I didn't think much of season 5 when the Justice League was introduced: they should have carried on with Gotham based villains. I didn't think much of Mr Freeze: BTAS had a much better version but I preferred Penguin here :)

  • He has brain AND brawn. That's always nice.

  • batman year ones theme...

  • @eignigma1 The theme was written and performed by U2 guitarist "The Edge"

  • Does enyone else hear the engine sound that sounds like "The Baatmaaan..."

  • @JoWaSi94 It's ment to say it

  • oh my, batman smiled!

  • Not just Batman, this is THE Batman

  • i used to watch this show it wuz kool

  • long live THE BATMAN

  • batman beyond better

  • I loved the new, darker way the show depicted his villains, I especially loved Penguin and Riddler.

  • @batmenace15 Yes!!! They made Penguin, Riddler, and The Joker less mob boss villinv, and more, evil sadistic, I'll actually fight hand to hand with Batsy villins.

  • OMFG that was soo EPIC !

  • I've seen bits and pieces of this but is it actually good?

  • @Nation4202007 it's ok. Quite interesting, actualy, cause sometimes it tries alternative of the wellknown story.

  • @Nation4202007 I would say its very good adaptation of the Batman: Having been born in 1989 I've been privileged to having an awesome childhood from the BTAS to this version (I have as yet to watch batman the brave and the bold) but yes; there are a lot of amazing storylines; personally the only downfall for me was that a lot of eps focused on the Joker (much as I love him) I never really got to know the Riddler- ScareCrow nor TwoFace nor The Mad Hatter made an appearance! :(

  • This series was WAY to short lived! And what do we get after it? Brave and the Bold! YUCK!

  • It's funny how all this time when It showed the title, I thought the sound was the batmobile reving up, then I noticed that it was a whisper "THE BATMAAN" hmm

  • @CaptainPeliKen So did I when I was a kid:)

  • I miss this show

  • 0:47 The best "Batman" i ever hear in my life :)

  • Comment removed

  • While I have to give this show credit for getting me interested in Batman, and I've only seen 4 episodes of Batman Beyond and only 3 of BTAS, it just doesn't hold up with the other two.

At least, it might have until Season 3.

  • I would kinda respect this series, i guess... If they hadn't screwed up Joker AND Riddler's designs.

  • @landioma Are you freakin kidding? TB had the best looking Riddler ever! He actually looked EVIL for once. And I love the fact that the Joker wasn't just a mob boss type of bad guy. He actually FOUGHT with Batsy. Hand to hand martial-arts. THAT is an awsome way to depict the Joker.

  • @Ilovecaptainjack224 But It's so out of character, that It's hardly either the riddler or the joker. Kudos for a more varied rogue gallery, but honestly? The riddler didn't look evil. He looked like some whiny emo with his pale hue and his long black hair.

I'm sorry, but I don't think anything you will say will convince me those redesigns were for the better. Why change what isn't broken?

I won't take away your opinion though.

  • this seems awesome, but I just can't get over the way The Joker looks like in this series.. :/

  • Anyone else thought of Halloween theme at the beginning?

  • I code websites to this music.

  • Grahpics not so good but still awesome

  • This series was started for all the wrong reasons, but over time it really came of age and turned into an excellent show. How lucky are we that every Batman show to grace television has been a good one

  • Best batman serie ever! (together with batman the animated series)

  • i miss this batman alot i think this batman beyond and batman the animated series where really good

  • The greatest cartoons ever: Teen Titans, Static Shock, X-Men: Evolution, The Batman, Jackie Chan Adventures, Xiaolin Showdown

  • They didn't do two-face in this series because of detective ethan bennet (clayface). He and bruce were both friends but then enemies just like harvey dent was

  • I like the artstyle of ever character, only if they had two-face, scarecrow, and mad hatter. But still like the show.

  • This is basically the Batman: Year One TV show

  • @cubix67 Year 3

  • @cubix67 kinda....

  • I liked the first season. I mean it ended with that one guy being tortured by the Joker and turned into Clayface. Not bad for a kids show ehh?

    And yeah, Freeze looked badass.

  • I will love anyone who posts a bass tab for this

  • i like how Mr. freeze was done in this :)

  • @vultwaz Agreed

  • You know what I wish they would have done with Joker? I wish they would have kept with his costume in the first episode. You know, the brown straight jacket with the purple sleeves. I like the suit version, but I would have preferred the ep1 look for this Joker

  • Bring it back! bring it back! bring it back!!!!

  • Love this intro...why did they change it??? music was epic! now its crap!

  • I absolutely love this opening, even little 12-13 year old me was outraged when they changed it.

Before this show became too cheerful/Batgirl/Robin, I would watch it every single day when the first/second season was on TV. I absolutely love the dark feel of it that they brought back. Every character design/voice I like, except for the Joker. His character is still done very well, his voice isn't even as bad as it could be, but this is one of my least favorite Joker designs of all time.

  • Excellente show, loved the first season,it had that feel that the 90's one had.

  • LOVED this theme tune

  • Batman is like he is in the first season. Lonely wolf

  • Robin and batgirl were good in the animated series but on this series batman was better off solo.

  • this show was good why did they end it

  • lol the guitar on the intro is by THE EDGE ( the U2 guitarist)

  • love'd this show and all its villain's but they left out one of them (two face)

  • @xPieLover101x Scarecrow was also left out if I remember correctly.

  • I used to think pretty much all the good kids cartoons died out in the 90's but when the first season of this came out I was hooked, the portrayal of some of the classic and even lesser known villians was rather dark and entertaining. Once the new season was out it just became rather stupid and childish.

We need more darker shows like this on, it's something young kids can get into but the darker feel is good for an older audience or old Batman fans.

  • @MrMpirozzi So do I. They sell it on iTunes, and I've seen it on Boomerang as well.

  • I LOVE THIS CARTOON... i wished that they would still show it

  • 0:47 i always loved that part

  • epic ending to the intro sequence..very dark indeed. what Batman should be!

  • I love the character design of this version. Not saying its better but a cool take on the cast of characters

  • 0:00-0:07

thats weird. I could swear I was watching an intro for the Batman not listening to the exorcist soundtrack

  • it had such a badass opening and had a very dark awesome feel to it! too bad this is now replaced with brave and bold... if i wanted comic graphics ill just read a comic ( yeah in your dreams) but why did they ruin this show.. and theres no place one can buy this or watch this ):

  • @SuperAnnas123 try tv-links.eu, it worked for me, the animated series and Beyond is also there, for good measure

  • this Cartoon was official... Stop hating.

  • oh my, this show was good until batgirl and robin came in

  • The piano intro in this theme matches the homicidal maniacs Batman faces at night

  • although the show was good I REALLY HATED THE LOOK AND SOUND OF THE JOKER

  • I totally showered with my Batman body wash today... Had to watch this cause I am feeling.... Batty.

  • why did they have to bring batgirl, shes ruins the dark scenes and her characters too cheerfull

  • this was the best batman show so much better then the other ones number 1 reason why is because they dont make his headd to hugly sguare or his body so dam big dosent look good

  • the best intro of all time

finger up if you liked this intro :)

  • @santrox97 I prefer TAS's for its brevity, but this intro IS amazing. Shame the series itself didn't live up to it.

  • I do have to give this show credit it was good, I liked it. The artwork was stylish, the designs of characters were good, and it had its dark moments like the original Batman animated series I grew up with in the 90s. However, parents got involved and they were forced to tone down the dark aspect of the show and it started to become boring and stupid.

  • Turn into Batman? There's an app for that....

  • none of the cartoons today has the same appeal as this one did

  • THIS WAS THE BEST BATMAN SERIES YET ..BRING THIS BACK!!!!

  • @bshx01 3rd best, in my opinion.

    1st: Batman: The animated series

2nd: Batman Beyond (aka Batman of the future)

    3rd: This

I don't like the Brave and the Bold so I will not count it. To me, that show is like 60's version of Batman.

  • @J223522 LOL..YEA TRU DAT..DAT SHOW WAS WEAK

  • This one was ok I guess but it was nowhere as good as the 90's Batman animated series.

  • Joker has dreads.....lol who ever thought of that is a boss

  • This version batman, with CHristopher Reeeve SUperman fighting him, best fucking duo ever.

  • Loved the first season, the rest was....okay. It wasn't horrible.

  • This could have been a really cool series. Its too bad seasons 2 and 3 fluffed it up too much by making it kid friendly.

I really like the intro definitely one of the better intros of modern Batman. Shame.

  • @ 0424john What about the 2000's ninja trutles cartoon. It was'nt as campy as the 80's-90's one and was closer 2 the comics.IMO it was good excepted that they cheped out with the last two seaons "Fast forward" & "Back to the sewer" in the animation and story quality.

  • Is it just me, or does anyone else get chills there at the end when we hear, "The Batman...."?

  • By FAR the best batman series out there, best theme, dark, cool animation, twisted, epic.

  • Batman: The Animated Series, The New Batman Adventures, The Batman, Batman: The Brave and the Bold and even the rather different Batman Beyond, all were awesome! Some of you hate on The Brave and the Bold, but it is just fine.

Add the Justice League series to this, and it's quite obvious that DC's animated shows are completely astounding.

  • batman brave and the bold was epic brought back that golden age feel to it :) this one fantastic as well just saying :)

  • @davdjams If that's true, then they hammed it up.

  • @TriviaFreak To me, the whole point of The Brave and the Bold is just an over-the-top silly romp which pokes fun at the mythos and the ridiculous of it all, it's a self-parody to me, and in that sense it works.

  • @davdjams Not Golden Age. Silver Age. Golden Age was during the War, when superheroes killed people all the time.

  • 0:41 Doakes D:!!!!!

  • I dont know why everyone is complaining, i personally loved this show... until they introduced bat girl, robin and the justice league... The writing before that was dark and very good. Just because its not your old batman version you people cry and whine like children.

  • @HAWHAWH Some of us whine about how certain shitty conservative fuckwits whined about how "dark" cartoons weren't supposed to be for kids, and that's why this awesome intro got changed into that campy piece of shit that probably ended up bombing out this awesome series.

Even the villain redesigns were cool! Then parents stepped in. They don't know shit about children today. It doesn't look like they even know how to raise the modern kid, which comes complete with the latest technology!

  • @TriviaFreak agreed. I grew up watching dark cartoons and also other good cartoons such as Darkwing Duck or Fillmore (Middle School CSI would be a good name for it too) or Gargoyles and Todd McFarlane's Spawn and didn't turn into a psycho. The parents stepping up thing may be the reason today's cartoons are so lame, it's like they forgot what it is to be a kid, i missed Scarecrow and Two Face on this show, they should bring it back and put them there (with this intro)

  • @TriviaFreak

I agree, what the hell happened to all the good shows? All that's on tv now are ridiculous cartoons with no plot points, and almost every show now are about kids becoming famous... :/ all the good shows have died with our forgotten childhood.

  • @XBrandonXMassacreX And that's kids' shows, to boot. Why do you think Doctor Who's been so famous for over forty years? Because even though there was violence, they were tasteful and mostly done overtly, even on-screen.

And don't even get me started on the sentai shows. I don't know what's wrong with them these days...

  • @TriviaFreak

Amazing point there. There are just not too many good shows anymore. And when one actually comes along, they cancel it...

  • @HAWHAWH It's just we get mad because they began this cartoon very dark and seious and then ruined it. Why? because dark cartoons aren't for kids? i grew up watching South Park, Gargoyles, Extreme GhostBusters, Mutant League and Spawn (the cartoon that aired on HBO) and i'm not a psycho

  • @HAWHAWH I personally agree with you. I'm twelve, and I can tell you that a lot of people in my age group love the old dark cartoons like Batman TAS. Sure, the happy colorful cartoons with no plot are good, but It's series like this that really shine.

  • @Hproductions64 well said sir

  • The version of Joker in this series Kick Ass...

  • The second theme was pain to my ears

  • God I used 2 watch when I was young.... LoVe the artwork...Thumbs up if you used to watch this (or still do) and it brings back memories 4 you.... ; )

  • Comment removed

  • It is a sin that the show didn't keep this theme for at least one more season while it was on tv, nice job finding it.

  • Music = Badass

  • @EarthSprout Agreed!

  • Thug: who is he? *Im Batman*

  • @Satanmustdie1 No no NO! It's "I'm The Batman"

  • @TheNinjaCrash Well the movie I watched he said I'm Batman lol No problem though eh

  • You know its weird. In this version, Bruce Wayne is much more human than in his other incarnates. I mean he's not a stoic seriously badass but he's more calm, relaxed and he cares a lot about the friends he was able to make in this version. Guess I like this incarnate more than the others.

  • Its not really fair to compare this to TAS, because it will always get unfairly low ratings. Taken on its own, this show rocked.

  • THIS IS WAAAY BETTER THEN THE OTHER ONES like this if u agree

  • Why does Bruce Wayne look deformed? Why does the Riddler look like Marilyn Manson? Why does the Joker look like... That?

  • @urtv1 Blame the artists..

  • @urtv1 You do realize this is the same basic art style as Jackie Chan Adventures right? and i know you aren't insulting that.

  • @hadomaru That doesn't make up for the fact that most of the characters bear no resemblance to their original designs. It looks cool, but it doesn't look like Batman.

  • @urtv1 At least in the Joker's case, thats justifiable, considering most versions of the Joker look different.

  • @hadomaru But was it really necessary to give him dreadlocks, a straight jacket and red eyes?

  • @urtv1 Its awesome animation , your obveosly not a batman fan if you dont think that joker looks AWESOME , You goon :L

  • @DaftMau5Music No, I love Batman. I just dislike this incarnation of it. It very much is inferior to Batman: the animated series. And the Joker looks nothing like any other version of the character! Btw the animation is great, but the character designs are bad.

  • @urtv1 it was going for a slight anime style

  • This is intro is what truly captures Batman's character and everything about him. Though he is fighting for justice and he's a hero, he shows that sometimes you gotta be bad to beat the bad guys. He instills a creeping cold feeling of fear into his enemies and He is the "Dark Knight" and this intro truly captures that sort of scary and creepy intimidation factor Batman utilizes to take down his enemies. Miss this show so bad and I wish they didn't change it.

  • @ATEnhancedPictures Only TAS was better than this, and especially "Brave and the Bold" or the cartoons based on the live-action 60's show...

  • @TriviaFreak Batman the brave and the bold does suck. The humor has seemed to be removed.

  • Does anyone know if the released this sick intro tune on CD?

  • @yauyuso No, but you can download it somewhere... forgot where.

  • I love this theme so much!!! I can't believe they changed it for the other seasons. Every time they put this intro on the tv I would turn the volume to max. Was my favorite show in the universe. What I like about batman more than any other hero is him and his villains are realistic. Other heroes and villains get their powers from what the fuck ever. But all batman uses is science, brains and kick ass tech. Also his villains are actually smart. Most of the times they form a complicated plan that

  • best intro of the whole "the batman" series

  • this is one of the better batman shows if u ask me

  • 0:41....what happend to that black guy??....hes not in season 4 or 5

  • @johnwall2wizards Got replaced by Ming Na's character, girl named Yin.

  • @johnwall2wizards He got turned into Clayface, so his partner Yin took the spotlight as the cop character

Though the script writers totally dropped her once Gordon came into the picture

  • @johnwall2wizards he turned in to clayface

  • @johnwall2wizards he became Clayface.

  • I'm more of a Marvel than a DC guy, but I gotta' hand it to these guys, this show was awesome! And the other themes in this show weren't bad ( in my opinion) but this one truly captured what the show's tone was; dark, creepy, but epic and heroic.

  • @Mickwhitefire28 YESH.

  • Day-um, The Edge sure knows how to make that guitar sing.

  • I really love how this intro gave the show a dark vibe. And then you look at the other intros and they had like music that made me think of the old Adam West show.

  • So cool and musterious

  • where can i download the song? It's so awesome

  • Sick intro~ this made me want to watch the show. The following intros looked so campy, I avoided this show like the plague.

  • @strikerk Once again, you can blame conservative Christian parents who have no idea that their children are being exposed to more sophistication at an increasingly younger and younger age.

  • This intro is just so godamn jazzy and cool!

  • I always liked this show, sure it didn't last like BTAS and the first two or three seasons were great, sure some episodes were hit or miss (Cluemaster for example sucked) but some characters were done great.

Batgirl had a much better personality than TAS, Clayface was a well rounded character, as was Riddler. Joker was very unique and I liked him. Penguin was a legit villain for once and Batman himself was a step away from the norm, not being as ultra-dark as usual. Good underrated show this.

  • as Halloween theme o_ o

  • I wish they didn't replace this tune with that sixties homage.

  • I always would turn the volume up to max every sat and sing the beat.

  • it kind of sounds like voice of the soul by death

  • The theme song and intro is great. But I never really got into this version of batman, I just think you can't do a great animated batman show without the writing talents of paul dini and bruce timm. It has fairly stylised look. But still nothing will ever top batman the animated series which I think is a classic.

  • This intro is cool. The later ones were lame.

Anyone know if the "Bat-alarm" sound is available somewhere? I'd like to use it as my text message sound.

  • @Aivottaja You mean the Bat-wave?

Do a Google search; zedge has what you're probably looking for...

  • Whodda thought that Trent Reznor was really Batman?

  • @Mbk606 Eh?

  • @Mbk606 Blame Kids WB, but hey, freez looks cool... get it? eh? eh? *sigh*

  • This screams The Edge

  • Sorry, nothing will ever be able to top TAS.

  • @steelersguy74 No fan-wanking please.

  • NOW THIS IS HOW YOU MAKE A BATMAN INTRO

  • @fraddi hehe hell yea!....this is possibly the best intro next to the old one

  • The dickweeds at upper management probably changed the intro cause the fuking parents complained the intro was too dark for their children. Fucking helicopter parents ruining everything.

  • WHY THE HECK HAVE THEY CHANGED THE INTRO!

seriously, didnt they see the awesomeness of this intro?

  • Oh yea. I remember this. The first Batman Cartoon I ever saw, as well as the first I watched on a regular basis every Sunday at 9:35 AM.

    Man I miss that series

  • im not to fond of this batman (batmobile is kick-ass though) but this was waaaaaay better than that shitty excuse for batman:the gay and the homo...

  • I blame the sidekicks joining in for ruining the intro, though it would be interesting to see a fanmade intro using footage of the two still with this song.
