My truth: JC was a radical visionary who died for fighting the dogma of HIS day. Like Moses and the long-and wrongly incarcerated Leonard Peltier JCs great message is to live simply, love your enemy/have no enemies and not squander our mother earth. The rich of any nation are parasites on working peoples labor and violating the earth. Einstein had deep religious faith - and used it to inspire his scientific explorations. Lets follow his wise example.
it doesn't require a cause because it isn't some "thing." It is a process. Asking what caused natural selection is like asking what caused my coffee to be made in the morning. The coffee is made through a complex process. Natural selection is just living organism dying out and surviving. Those that survive get their gene passed on.
yes, everything has a "cause" but not in the sense of the old billiard ball metaphor of cause. Aristotle's chain of causal events was a misunderstanding of causal behavior. When one ball hits another ball one could say that ball A caused the movement of ball B. But it doesn't make much sense to say..what "caused" video games to be created. The system is more complex than that.
I'm not sure you're really understanding what I mean by Aristotlean "cause." Sure, in the really abstract sense of the term the developer "caused" tevideo games to be made. But we don't use that word in that way. We don't say Christopher Columbus "caused" the birth of a nation. That extends the definition of the word to limits which render it useless. So what "caused" natural selection? The Earth's existence.
@ichiboku1 By definition, the meaning of CAUSE is - "The producer of an effect, result, or consequence", "The one, such as a person, event, or condition, that is responsible for an action or result". So it makes sense if we say, video game developers is the cause of a new video game

absolutely fascinating. definitely an organism worth studying
-and especially so since its ancestry is at least 100 million years old -the melittosphex burmensis, the oldest bee fossil discovered in 2006.

re: "but let's remember, this organism is a product of natural selection..."
Yes, Yes, remember, "pay no attention to the man behind the curtain Dorothy"
"But now ask the beasts, and they will teach you; And the birds of the air, and they will tell you;
Or speak to the earth, and it will teach you; And the fish of the sea will explain to you.
Who among all these does not know That the hand of the LORD has done this" Job 12:7-9

Awesome graphics in this video, but let's remember, this organism is a product of natural selection, not design.

and at the same time, video game developers don't "cause" video games. They develop them.
