If there's a limit to the human body.. they pissed in its face. Respect for the ones who fell and stood back in pain to achieve what they saw as their dream.
unbelievable!!!! respect for all who finish something like this!! what she did is more like incredibly awesome!!!!! For the past couple months Ive been training intensely for a half IM next week, but im so scared that I may not make it…… any last minute advice?? Last week I saw a movie, “Discover the Gift”, which talks about being true to yourself and do whatever you do best giving 100% all the time. I loved it! facebook. com/discoverthegift
I really love that video, giving me more than honor, encourage, fight, respect, science, gratitude, confidence, putting my heart at the limit, putting my mind and behivour in good way to be or find myself in some way. Its just some kind of good drug giving me the enough power to fight agains myself every day, trying to break and destroy all the bad things next to me and giving me a kind of emotions involve in just one word IRONMEN, YES I CAN, I CAN CROSS THE LINE, I'LL DO IT, THKS GOD.
Question from an amateur: does fitness (body-building, "musculation") help to do that?? I have read that apparently, athletes, tend to focus of the three sports only... It is said that you boost your heart and breath mainly but the focus on the muscles development is a bit forgotten... what do you guys recommend?? gym or not? (as a complement of the tree sports) thx!
@glt56 light weight lifting to keep the muscle stimulated, but if your going for an iron man or a marathon less muscle is better, muscles alot more heavy and uses more energy just to go somewere, so i suggest like lifting 2-3 times a week the body stimulated
It is an endurance sport, being fit in this case means being resilient, not muscularly built. On the contrary the more meat you pack the heavier you are on the bike and... on the heart.
Focus on the 3 disciplines... if you can.... because I can't. I train 24/7 whatever sports it is... ;)
@glt56 Many triathletes hit the gym 1-2 times a week for heavy weights. There are also exercises in the gym you can do to make sure your body is symmetrical (e.g. split squats), which help prevent injuries.
Smoke, drink, and eat vast quantities of rich food. No better feeling than that. No pain, no pain. I even hire some neighbor kid to mow my lawn. YEAH!
I watched this video many times before my one and only triathlon. i completed the Lanzarote Ironman last week on the back of videos like this! remember the tune, u can humm it for 11hours like me then!
Its a long day out, but worth it when you cross the line. Dont be afraid, its a swim a bike and a run... get the miles in the tank and the atmosphere will carry you the rest of the way!

it is hype but with out this motivation you cant do it you need that push you need that hype.. or else you wont last a hour in this. to all of ya training keep going and dont give up and it takes balls to be a Ironman man or women,,,
At what point do you say to yourself, "...this is too much...?" NEVER. It is never too much..it is never enough. To continure to push beyond your limits is the true essence of humanity.
Never stop...never quit. This is why I'm hard. This is why I'm Iron.
Thanks, brother. That 'quote' came out of my head, man. I am very passionate about being an athlete. When I watch videos like this, it make the hair on the back of my neck stand up, my teeth clench tight, and I get this wild look in my eye. I LOVE this stuff, dude.
@INGRox I hear you. I can never get enough of this stuff. I am always searching motivational stuff and inspiring clips. I know people think its just hype but to me its so much more than that.
I did this year IM 70.3 and an Olympic distance thriatlon. I trained hard, 1 year. Finishing 70.3 was one of the greatest moments in my life. It was the victory over all negative in me. Now my knee has a malfunction, today a doctor cut a piece of my meniscus. Being in hospital I thought, I give up doing IM. Watching this video, I at least think again, I could do this... We will see!
@visioneer7 I've had 50% of my meniscus removed on both left and right knees, im racing for a qualifier slot at the world championships in 2 days at Ironman 70.3 Hawaii. Don't let anyone ever tell you slow down, dont let anyone ever tell you stop. The second you accept that you are normal is the second that you are. We are different, friend.

I wish i was thinking that at the age of 14. You have an advantage my friend. You realize you want to do big things so early in your life. At that age, you are capable of anything. Im only 21 and i still feel like i might be too late. Stay with it, you can do it.
Just recently I started posting a ton of these videos on my blog, now every time i don't feel like working out I put one on and i find myself rushing to the gym. Sometimes its a bad thing! I have an exam in 5 hours but i really want to go cycling! I wish their were motivational videos dedicated to reading ;)
I watch this video almost every morning before I get out and train... Ironman CDA june 21st... it will be my first... thanks for making such a sweet clip.
Just startred my first day of winter training for Ironman New Zealand, Love this video, it will keep me inspired throughout the cold winter months. Remember train hard, PARTY HARDER!!!
