in Gen 1:3 Gods name is "אלהים" or 'elohiym.... the verse goes like this... "God (אלהים" or 'elohiym) said (אמר 'amar) "Let their be light" (היה hayah) and there was light (אור 'owr)
So I do not get how you are saying that Gods name is "let their be light" or היה or hayah when it clearly says God (אלהים 'elohiym) said..... According to the original hebrew and genesis 1:3 and repeatedly in Geneses Gods name is " 'Elohiym" not trying to argue, just trying to figure out the misunderstanding?
@galaxydreams2 you ask a good question. "elohiym" is the hebrew word for "god", its not a name, and its used in a broader sense, for instance in exodus 12:12 it says "the gods of the egyptians", the 'gods' there is 'elohiym' strongs # 430.. whereas YaHuWaH is a name and used ONLY for the Most High Almighty Father in heaven. lexicons and concordances are very helpful for this kind of word study, and are available free online. i like the one at biblos(dot)com. peace
@galaxydreams2 btw i thought i'd add that YaHuWaH (YHWH) is strongs # 3068 and is translated as "the LORD" (in capital letters) in the english translations. and it shows up more than 6,000 times in the old testament (more than any other name or title)! :) happy studies!

The Vatican's demand to control holy sites in Jerusalem is indeed setting the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.
