Actually it shows piss poor understanding of the military. See the military will pay 100% of your education while you are in. Yet the old GI bill only paid a portion. That is why post WWII they used the GI Bill at a 100% to thin the ranks. On the other hand the new GI bill takes away all incentive for those seeking college to stay in. Actually I totally agree. Time and again Obama only wants to use the military in Photo Ops and hence his not going to Landstuhl. I was med evac'd there and we had several congressman and women come to visit us. Yet Obama was too busy preaching to the whole population of Germany rather than the people he will send into harms way.

Both have good intentions, McCain doesn't want those who have been lost to be for nothing, he doesn't want their deaths to be in vain whereas Obama doesn't want anyone else to suffer as those who already have. we keep fighting so that we wont have to go back. so we dont have to deal with loosing even more support in afganistan. the world will see a loss and see weakness and know that we will leave afganistan. once we are out of iraq and the media focuses on casualities from afganistan the left will want to leave there too. I wore a POW's name on a bracelet for several years. I knew his name as well as my own name after wearing it for only a few hours. And, even though I haven't worn it in decades, it's a name I'll never forget. Obama's "Me too, me too" bracelet stunt was pathetic. He's a petulant child auditioning for a man's job.

Of course you cut off Obama's explanation! The point is that McCain will keep letting people die until we "win." But there is no winning this war. If McCain had his way, we would still be bombing Vietnam into the stone age instead of letting them determine their own future. Obama wears a bracelet that is a promise to a mother of a dead soldier to end the dying. McCain's is a promise to keep killing our solidiers forever for a war that was unjust from the beginning.
