  • Five People have no Plan ...

  • About Dessay moving her arms and hands during rehearsals and recording sessions. I think it is because she not only uses her mind and her experience in interpretation, but that she consults her body. Perhaps I am not puzzled or disturbed by it because while listening to recorded music I often use my hands and arms more in the manner of a conductor. Doing that connects me a lot more with the music in a more physical way and I actually hear more. Hilary Hahn said that she danced to Bach as a kid

    Sorry, but no.

    szczrzdz

  • thanks, but i have very good hears, dont worry, i listen very carrefuly..;and you shoudl know that when somebody who pretend to "conduct" and move hands in that way, that will of course affect the way the orchestra plays...thats the job of conducting, therefore its very important, and in this video, orchestra sounds like Haim hands

  • why does it disturb you so much?

why don't you listen better instead?

  • OMG, just listen to them, that's all about!

  • peu importe les mains;la voix est lumineuse et divine !!

  • Qué pasa en el minuto 12:12 alguien me puede decir por favor?

  • hm...no creo que alguien lo sepa :-S

  • i'd be interested to hear what dessay sounds like without all that faffing around with her hands....

  • she needs it to move her hands she says. She cannot be inexpressive. Why do you think it could be an obstacle?

  • you can hear it at any recital that she does. she never moves her hands in that way on concerts

  • HAHA I can't take this video seriously anymore after reading your comment... you're awesome!

  • @altodivo Go and see her live in a concert!

  • I love this video! "De torrente in via bibet" from Dixit Dominus is so divine....the rendition is splendid! Well really, everything is so well done! It's cute that Natalie and Laurent are together at work! :P
