Ho visto stanotte, a 43 anni, questo film per la prima volta: ho sempre amato i film di Scola, e dopo aver visto questo capolavoro capisco perche'. Ho le lacrime agli occhi a rivedere questa scena, Marcello stratosferico e la Loren di una bellezza che mi ha fatto venire i brividi. Un capolavoro assoluto, tutti dovrebbero vederlo almeno una volta.

sophia e marcello ne hanno fatti di film insieme! nessuno intenso come questo..una Sophia cosi' dimessa da rasentare la sciattoneria, senza trucco mai piu' vera e spontanea un Marcello stratosferico ..quel suo sfogo..alla tromba delle scale ..quel suo vuotare il sacco...a nessuno.. e' una delle scene piu' disperate(di uno sconforto da pelle d'oca )di tutta la storia del cinema..mondiale quel"frocio" finale non piu' gridato ma quasi sussurrato esprime uno stato di totale impotenza..tanto e' cosi'

Una scena bellissima, intensa, i due protagonisti nella penombra e i canti in lontananza. Il bacio struggente e la frase indimenticabile di Mastroianni, poi lo schiaffo della Loren. "...perchè è questo il muscolo più importante!"
