I wonder if Forrest would have the nerve to fight Mike Tyson in the octagon. Conversely I wonder if Tyson would have the nerve to fight Forrest in an Ultimate fighting ring? This would be a huge match for both fighters. It would prove once and for all if a historic boxing champ could or would not fight or beat a histotic ultimate fighting champ. Just the challange alone would show credibility of nerve!
Great interview. Probably the best Forrest Griffin interview I've seen. Forrest was definitely taking things a bit more serious after that Silva loss.
@jeunegaillard You're a fucking idiot. Even if you don't like the guy, he literally started the MMA boom in america. It was his fight that got people tuning in going "This is fucking awesome, I have to watch more of this."
Anyone who has beaten Tito, Rampage, and Shogun can never be considered the biggest joke in the UFC. It's fucking retarded to even think it let alone say it or type it when there are countless bums who got KO'd or subbed in a minute and never returned.
@pearcemark Forrest started all that is wrong with MMA. MMA used to be all about who is the best fighter period. The UFC is now a watered down mainstream version of MMA with no kicks to a downed opponent. You now have guys like Forrest with no skill who just go out there and play rock and sock
em robot fighting which douchebag MMA fans with no respect for the ground game love. Look what happened to him when he fought someone like anderson silva with real skill.
@JohnnyBoyCali Yeah your right man, Forrest has no skill at all, I mean the people he's beaten such as the current light-heavyweight champion Shogun, three former champions and top light-heavyweights like Rich Franklin Tito Ortiz and Rampage Jackson are not good fighters either. Plus the fact that hes a black belt in jujitsu just shows how he is just a stand-up fighter. SIKE, your an idiot, just because he lost to the possible p4p best doesn't mean he's bad.
yes, he's my favorite UFC fighter now... Just watchin his interviews I laugh, he's so awkwardly funny and random and drugged out(he claims he doesnt but I know)
rekNball69, Ortiz has actually calmed down a bit ever since he came back to the UFC. He even said in an interview after the fight, that Griffin has big heart and he gave it his all and that he earned the win. Sure he's cocky and a bit in love with himself, but he has toned down a bit.
As for the interview, it was good. I'm happy for Griffin, and I can't wait for his next fight. I actually hope it's a rematch with Silva, after Anderson fights with Belfort.
look at Tito crying, begging Forrest for another fight.. i say fuck Tito and lets start watching real fighters like Fedor or Forrest, Tito was and is a bum maybe he should try out for the WWE.. and for the record Rampage is also a loud mouth bum..
btw, im not saying Ortiz is a pussy, i know he can bang em up with the best of em. i just get sick of fighters who talk smack all the way to the fight and then don't deliver.. i heard him talk shit about Liddell, say all kinds of shit about Dana White, and going into UFC 106 it was "Forrest better this and he better that and im Mr Headline & blah blah blah.." when at the end of the night Tito couldn't get it done & let it go to the cards and Forrest won.. nuff said
The Silva fight really humiliated Griffin and because of it I think the suicidal ''run in and hope for the best'' Forrest Griffin is dead. I think tonight we'll see a far more methodical Forrest and I think he'll wait for the opportunity and then surprise Tito with a KO.
silva himself is actually very religious, many fighters in general become very religious/always have been. It takes faith, the most successful people in life have some sort of spiritual maturity.
