It could have been in the backtrack, but if it was (and i'm saying, big IF), it doesn't sound like Bey's voice. It almost sounded like what you get when you put someone's song into ASD, and drop the pitch. It could have been her voice dropped into the backing track. Also, a lot of backing tracks have three options: instrumental, instrumental w/background vocals, or a full on "teaching" track with vocals. If she was having trouble with that note, they could have dropped it into the instrumental.
