  • he was pretty cheesy as an actor.. not that i deny his schizophrenia... i was unfortunate to have gotten it myself... this made me laugh though... was not at all offensive to me...

  • So some people with schizophrenia can have types of hallucinations of people trying to kill him/her? I thought it was just about random thoughts in your head and characters in your mind trying to frustrate, stop you from doing something or annoy you.

  • That man is in no way more schizophrenic than myself or Tiger Woods. Your movie sucks dicks

  • HOLY CRAP THAT SCARED THE SHIZ OUT OF ME!!!

  • mental illness happens for a reason usually trauma. Too many drugs also can cause severe mental illness. having a strong tendency to live in an inner world. The inner world becomes distorted and dark and scary resulting in mental illness. people recover from schizophrenia, fact.

If you look around you the world is a mad place is it any wonder people go mad.

Also most people are a mad in one way or the other or verging on it, I have met many people with deluded senses of self, ego etc..

  • @adskib It is a known fact that schizophrenia is not psychological but rather physiological. Some new research out there states it may be caused by a virus much like MS.

  • this bullshit.

  • Not trying to be mean, but this guy kinda looks like Milton from Office Space.

  • OMG THIS IS SOOOOOOOOOO FAKE. no schizo after seeing someone is going to be like, what was that. nothing, nothing.

  • does he take medication?

  • this shits fake as fuck

  • This is sooo sad. These people suffer so much, and we're busy wondering who tiger woods had sex with. Just sad :(

  • Theyre are lower levels of schizophrenia correct? Because i have no clue why, but my head is always racing with crazy thoughts and words. I dont hear em out loud but in my head... if that makes sense, ha.. Then im always paranoid for no reason.. i always keep thinkin that im about to die or something bad is about to happen... like im being poisend when i eat.. but i dont hallucinate.. though i do see stuff in the corner of my eye.. and i always talk to myself.. and i love it, haha. help? thanx

  • @crammiddleschool

you should talk to a family doctor or someone you trust about that. could be nothing, could be something

  • my dad has paranoid schitzophrenia and he thinks the neighbor is out to ruin my families life. he also will see a car drive down the street and jump up look out the window for like ten minutes. or he will ask me to go see who it was. it gets annoying how paranoid he gets but i feel kindof bad for him sometimes

  • So is it real or no??? He's an actor, but mentally ill, or is he an actor with schizophrenia?

  • @kiril1 "but mentally healthy", I meant.

  • this is a dumb ass video people who have this diease don't act like this what freaking moronic video this is i have the diease and i don't act like this what a freaking joke this video is.

  • Anyone that believes this is real...is stupid.

  • 3:14 sounds like something from Counter-Strike.

  • Is he acting in this or is he really hallucinating?

  • @7410n0 lol ofc he acting in this video because only schizophrenic can see and hear stuff like this... this video only showing "simulation" of that illness

  • ~YAWN!~ this video is so boring.

  • @crabcakes21 If this is boring to you... then I want you to have to go through schizophrenia. I want you to suffer. I want you to hear voices that tell you to kill yourself. You think this is boring! This is real. So many people have to deal with people that have schizophrenia. So many people have to deal with schizoprenia everyday of they're life. And you think it's boring. You should be Ashamed of yourlself.

  • GOD ALMIGHTY! creepiest screamer ever. to bad it's real.. I feel for this guy.

  • this vid scared the shit out of me

  • lol I actually have the disease... This made me laugh but creeped me out to

  • you know that gave me a heart attack a little warning would be lovely

  • It's difficult to portray an accurate experience of schizophrenia on film. This video has some elements that are a true if amateurish representation of the illness.but 8 out of 10 for effort.

  • more video's with the intent to scare people... run away from the schizophrenics ahhh!

  • silver surfer POSTER LOL

  • dude what the fuck!!!! scared the shit out of me!!!!!!!!

    Your adorable!

  • He need omega 3!and allot of it.

  • 1:19

He says "Gimme the fucking DRUGS!"

  • My shadows are okay if light and bad if intense. My awareness is the problem - people love to kick me when I'm down. I'm frayed and thus a compulsive liar, and ppl say there's more than one of me, no, no solid state. Lucky for me, I'm stuck with the same delusions, so they are easy to recognize, and I can kindof swim thru them. Like I'm not going to kill my friend. BTW, she's the only person I would ever attack. We're not violent. I'm not sure if she did something or not, not that that matters.

  • I have schizophrenia. Sometimes you see people out to get you like this. Other times, you see friends. I hear things often. Sometimes their threats, sometimes their compliments. It isn't as scary as this video makes it seem.

  • FAKE!!

  • i lol'd

  • You sofa is rad. I love it.

  • OMG this scared the shit out of me when the man first popped up!!!

  • @Jx92 wow that scared me too!!!!

  • Just because you're paranoid doesn't mean they aren't out to get you.. :D

  • if im by myself i get like paranoid

  • lol! This was me last year when i was dignosed with Bi-polar. I turned off my wifi and cordless phone, since then i had no problems and just avoided electro interference

  • It's the goverment

  • I was diagnosed with schizoaffective and dissociative indentity disorder. One of the movies that was reccomended to me was Beautiful Mind with Russel Crow. I watched it many times along with the added commentary by Ron Howard.

Sleep deprivation, poor diet, dehydration, can all play a role. What appeared to help me somewhat was being out in the sunlight, walking and water. Vitamin D deficiency may also be a clue.

Intrusive thoughts are like dreams or sleep walking. Paranoid delusions etc.

  • Stay away from glutens.I have seen the before and after, gluten is a serious poison to some.

  • There's sites about diets/eliminating many foods, spices and additives. I've limited myself to basically chicken without added solutions, broths/MSG etc. Which are said to contribute to mania. Some additves etc. said to be EXCITOTOXINS. I mix ground chicken with oatmeal, Bragg liquid aminos/sea salt NO Wheat flour, potato, sugar and especially corn syrup. I've also eliminated salicylates which is in many foods. Blood brain barrier; meningitis history, headaches etc. seem to be related also.

  • Defence, defence! You speak right language, search for zeitgeist and have a rest from time to time. wackertunes in the game!

  • living in a nightmare...i feel for every schizophrenic..

  • @Abz90L i think if a schizophrenic person never heard or saw anything bad in their lives they would be ok, because nothing bad to imagine

  • @palkia38 well thats what you would think, but sadly there are cases where they have schizophrenia since they're little toddlers and they see horrible stuff. hearing voices telling them to take a knife and kill theyre parents, and you wonder how they know a kinfe can kill someone if they're only 4-5 years old and have never seen a horror movie or anything like that

  • @Abz90L is it always bad things tht skitzos see? sometimes they halucinate good things to no?

  • @Abz90L i was diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia last year its a horrible illness it makes my life hell and i must take college classes online but luckily u have a girlfriend and she takes good care of me unfortunately i have nobody else i can trust or be friends with so just thought id tell yall a little bit about myself

  • @redneckrebelredneck if u were diagnosed with it last year u sure wouldnt want to brag about it online first of all, and second for u to be diagnosed i think the case would have to be severe and noticeable...you most likely would be talking in word salads right now if u were telling the truth.

  • @SassyLeeLee1 Just pointing something out, talking in word salads doesn't have to be present in a Schizophrenic person. Paranoid Schizophrenia is a mental illness where, basically, one imagines various conspiracies all against them. Word salads are most commonly found in patients with Disorganized Schizophrenia.

  • @Abz90L thankyou.

  • so a person with schizophrenia hears and see's this stuff randomly all the time?

  • ok the dude in the cape is creepy, I feel for this guy

  • It's not a fun disease...

  • seek a preist

  • I dont think he should be driving....

  • hehe i liked this ...short but amusing

  • is this person an actor? or does he really have schizophrenia?

  • He really does have schizophrenia. He hears voices, has visual and tactile(feeling) hallucinations.

  • that must be real hell

  • Trust me it fuckin is!

  • @liquidlightproductio so, I suppose the little clips and the screamo music is for effect?

  • @liquidlightproductio Some would call that clairvoyance.

  • Shit! That first one made me jump especially since im watching it on my projector!

  • jesus christ same here :D

  • Am absoulty normal person bit of crazy haha, but always been interested in people's lifes, there's always a reason for everything.....remember, one day maybe they be flying a white bird.....while we so called non disabled be on the poor life, good luck, dont give it up. =)

  • it's a devil got given one of the options to play on earth.....sad.

  • we are in hell..earth is hell..life is a journey to realize that, find god and get out...schizophrenics are just more aware of that...atleast that's how i feel..i feel like i can sense things around me..demons and that everything is a test...and there is a reason we are being tested..it's extremely scary at times..but you HAVE to think positively..and looking to god really is the only way other than medication..

  • JamesHaich don't think that was very nice what u said if u think bout it....read it over c if u get it....;)

  • wow...if i was like this i would have been a coward and killed myself...there are so many brave people out there

  • This movie is friggin hillarious LMAO

  • this video kept making me jump. i would be so scared if i had to deal with that all the time, or ever!

  • what the fuck...

  • That is terrible!

  • j00bacca420 - The reason that the "MOVIE" A Beautiful Mind portrays a schizophrenic seeing all of these elaborate hallucinations is because "Movies" are a visual medium. It was the best way of giving the viewer insight as to what the disease is like. In reality, it's not like that at all.

  • If schizophrenia doesnt consist of visual hallucinations then what's the deal with the guy from A Beautiful Mind? He's tripping sack throughout the whole movie, seeing all sorts of illucid images of governments agents and stuff.

  • What I would say is that... wisual hallucinations are rare... while what the majority of us patients have are auditory hallucinations... Concerning the images of gov. agents and stuff... that's the delusional part of the symptoms

  • i was diagnosed with schiz. 20 years ago, ive seen 400 times more hallucinations than the guy in the movie, ive heard about500 different voices in my head, still hear about 40 different ones a day. 20 years ago with treatment it went away after a year, when i indulged in drugs 15 years later(stimulants) it came back 500 times more intense, ive tried suicide already before i got treated again. it is somewhat under control now but the voices are still there loud and clear. drugs no doubtfryurbrain.

  • At least you're in a better state, man. Stay strong. I had something very similar to schizophrenia for a week because of a terrible mistake I made with recreational amp usage. At least you know you have a problem and can tell that the voices are fake if nobody else is around. And no tactile or visual hallucinations. You've got my respect for sticking it out. That is one tough course to make it through....

  • Well, alright then. I hope it stays under control. I can't even imagine how difficult living in such a distorted reality would be. Yes, I would agree from personal experience, drugs do bad things to your brain.

  • Please go to Yahoo and type in the phrase "Horrible Truth About Psychiatric Drugs" into their search to find a report that reveals the truth about theee drugs that no psychiatrist will tell you. Also do the search with the phrase "Documented Proof Psychiatric Drugs Shorten Lifespan". Be sure to include the quotes to narrow the search so you find the intended research paper on these drugs/ The drugs promote suicide and violence not prevent, cause impotence, no libido and make you fat disphoric.

  • what the fuck kinda person wants the meds?? I thought they were the worst fucking nazi invention, I skipped them (even in the hospital). It was freaky, but the meds were worse

  • This is scary! But nonetheless, schizophrenia is a very intriguing illness.

  • Your learning man keep it up, keep your mind open no matter how much it hurts your a person who see outside so keep your window open and dont let the scary voices of other try to deter you man.

  • i had the illness i had to be hospitalized for 2 months.that was 11 years ago first 2 years was hard.

  • Assdick, this condition is serious, many people are commting suicide because of it. Stop being a dick!!!

  • My Mom didn't admit it either, I've found that most won't because they do believe they're the only good people in the world. It's scary and hard.

  • i think this is very true.

My Mom had schizophrenia, and one time i was at her house and me and my brother were on the computer downstairs and she came down and just started telling us that we needed to be safe, that her boyfriend had tried to come in and stab her before, (which was an illusion) and someone told her he was coming back.

    i want to know more.

  • I don't know if i can help you. My mother has schizo and won't admit it. She was already in treatment but quited because she told they were trying to kill her.She is getting worst and worst and i cant do a thing because i can only intern her if she does any public attacks or damage. She often thinks that cops are helping her and terrorist wanna kill her, and then she just switches sides like for nothing, and it's the opposite, she told me bin laden was hiding in her basement, you cant imagine...

  • It looks funny but when its happening its not all that funny.

  • I had amphetamine psychosis twice and it wasn't much fun. I was hearing voices but these voices weren't all that friendly. I went real delusional too thinking police were after me and people trying to break into my house.

  • Visual hallucinatrions are very common with people that have schizophrenia. Moreover, the actor in this short has visual, auditory and tactile hallucinations. He is the expert on this subject matter. If the video does not convey his experience, then as the filmmake, I am sorry. But the things that the actor experiences as a person with schizophrenia are far worse than watch you see in this video. Take my word for it; I work with the mentally ill.

  • Visual hallucinations (not hallucinatrions) are actually not all that common in schizophrenics- unless you happen to be on drugs or Hollywood. This just gives more of a representation or depiction of the actual illness than just sound alone. If it was restrained to sound alone Hollywood might as well go back to the days of radio.

  • hallucinations are common i schizophrenics. i did a paper on it ..kinda fasinating ....no offense to anyone who has it

  • @liquidlightproductio, actually visual hallucinations only occur in about 15% of cases, auditory hallucinations are the most common, occurring in up to 75% of cases. Tactile hallucinations are even more rare.

  • Comment removed

  • Most paranoid schizophrenics dont hear or see things.

They imagine that foods sold in shops have chemicals and that they have to cook their own food. they think that all the cameras in the streets are watching them and that people are all out there to ruin their life they think all stuff that isnt true and their outlook on life is in some way invalid.

  • Obviously, you have no idea what Schizophrenia is about. Do some research and you will find that most people with the mental disease will experience auditory, visual or tactile hallucinations. This actor has all three types of hallucinations...auditory, visual and tactile.

  • I wasn't aware of the tactile and visual hallucinations being very common. I thought that because schizophrenia effects the language center and emotion centers in the brain in particular, it causes people who have it difficulty in differentiating between what they hear and their own thoughts. This overlapping leads to paranoia, multiple personality issues, ect. How do the visual hallucinations come into play?

  • Maybe they look for the truth and they are sick an tired of pretending like the majority of the insane people, and are learning to communicate through psychic powers by rebounding signals off of media channels, funny tho I hate those who would be racist as a white person when if was in the past and value have become so replaceable by lieing to oneself I think the ones who don't lie to themselves become crazy because of others shit to bear.

  • IT may lead you to a depression but not to schizophrenia.there is something much more serious, nto psychological but more biological.

  • Many paranoid schizophrenics do have positive symptoms which include hallucinations and delusions. And to them, auditory hallucinations don't appear to be in their head, which can make it so debilitating. Those voices they hear are not in their head, they are real . . . to them. The thing that is not right with this video is that when the person is experiencing psychotic hallucinations, they wouldn't know that what they hear is not real, they most likely wouldn't call a doctor.

  • real schezophrenics don't see stuff. Some may see stuff, but it's rare. Most of the hallucinations are voices in their head. So, this video doesn't really give the best example of a day in the life of a schizophrenic.

  • Speaking as a Psychology/Creative Writing dual major, you are actually quite misguided. Listen to Earthbound09, as his/her description is perfectly accurate.
