It would be nice to see how you make the small repairs on the parts. You mention bondo to patch. How do you bondo and paint and keep the panel lines and do you have any problem with the primer spraying ontop of primer seperating?
never fly spektrum seeming as it is one of the more expensive brands it is not reflected at all in the quality, should switch to frsky which is way way way cheaper and proven to be more reliable than most other systems with a huge advantage that if you loose contact for a brief moment the start up time is instantaneous, so you have control again straightaway where as the spektrum one can take a few seconds to boot, by which time your rc aircraft has hit the deck.Spektrum systems are dangerous.
It crashed on the first flight after a crash? Man, must be the Spektrum receiver....
