BTW, Beethoven also wrote a beautiful cadenza to this Concerto. As soon as I saw this on Youtube, I knew that Ms. Auerbach would present her own Cadenza.
It has her mark, and yet remains essentially diatonic. Her version of this concerto is angular and aggressive. I think Mozart would recognize that part of his personality in it, and would approve.
By his choice of key, Mozart intended this, in my opinion.
