Dude how do you kill the necromancers so easily? do you put the difficulty setting all the way down? cuz when i try to kill necromancer it takes like 4 hits from xalivi and that's one of the most powerful conjurations -.- (p.s. my difficulty is default :/)

Will my staff level with me? Like If I get the Paralye at level 5 with the 4 seconds, will it eventuqlly become 8 seconds at a higher level or should I wait till I'm a higher level?

@MasterAdam100 it won't level with you, you can always get better staff with console

i think you get a 8 sec paralyse staff when you are lvl 30+ or lvl 25+ i don't know for sure

4 sec paralyse is good because they need at least 1 or 2 secs to stand up again.

take a good enchanted dagger with you and hit the *** out of them :p

dagger is fast and you can even set soultrap for 2 secs on it, in combination with azura star you will always have enough charge

I chose the paralysis on my staff. Also enchanted a elven sword with frost, shock and fire damage which kills opponent my level quickly with the weakness to fire spell. :) this game is awesome!!!

jeez this took me freaking forever... it took like 4 hours for me to get all the reccomendations... and i hate the one where you have to fight zombies..... mages guild takes a very very long time to rank up before your in the university

i delivered him the staff and after he said that i should choose if i wanted destruction, mysticism or illusion i couldnt choose i just came back to where i could ask him about things i talked with him again and he said that he couldnt help me because i didnt have wood. Isnt the staff the wood thing? please help.

The game may treat the wood as a conversation-starting token of some sort, and jack it when you arrive that first time. If it asks you bout it, there's either wood somewhere else....or it's time to reload.

Can't imagine Bethesda screwing the pooch like that, though.

getting ur mages staff is a big thing.Its like a jedi building his lightsaber, or a wizzard choosing his familiar. Without their staves, mages r nothing!

The lizard is probably part of the main quest in Oblivion. Put the quest for the mages guild on your primary quest, then he shold come up on your compass so you can find him. The lizard is for the Mythic dawn commentaries which is part of the primary quest.

yes, but they summon undead which makes them evil necromancers. if you kill the 'mancer the undead will die also.

A necromancer is a dark wizard which summons dead people/other things to come back to life, and they controll them.

No.. Necro means dead. They resurrect and control dead bodies. Skeletons, zombies etc. In oblivion all zombies are created by necromancers or evil magic.

you must go to every guild in the whole of cyrodill and go to each city's mages guild and go talk to thath mages guild "leader" and ask for a reconmendation.look at your quest log you will see that quest.

Oblivion, you will not need replay value for oblivion for it is so long, the graphics are better for fallout 3 but oblivion is still good, personly i thing fallout 3 is overrated.

@theonlylanceleft fallout 3 is actually a really good game. The only fault with fallout 3 for me, what is a HUGE fault in the game...is that you can only reach level 20. I believe theres an expansion that lets you go to level 30, but woopti fuckin' do. After you reach level 20/30 you no longer obtain experience for killing monsters, hacking computers or locks, nothing. For me, it's like, why do anything if you dont get experience for it...so i just beat the game and got it over with.

I had trouble with the third necromancer. She took ages to kill, because she kept healing herself, and she chased me round the island and I nearly died. I was trying to get her to a guard when I killed her.

@Legendaryplaya i remember that when i went in the building where raminus is, i had the recommendations but i couldnt go on the university grounds from the inside for some reason. but when i went back out, i could open one of the black gates, bordering the grounds...and could from that point, go in whenever from wherever.

Another great walkthrough :) I went with a paralyze spell for my staff, since they normally cost an insane amount of magicka. It wasn't a very strong staff (spell only lasted two seconds) but it was very useful, since I did these quests at a very low level.
