  • Ben, I feel good about this goal and have met your challenge. I am only a freshman in high school, but I asked my teacher to teach me to teach, and she is doing it. I am passionate about the violin and it just so happens that she was taught by a violinist named Josef Gingold, you may have heard of him. he taught many great violinists, and my teacher was his personal assistant for many years. So I feel like I would be happy teaching because I'm not just getting up to go to work every day..

  • I am helping ensure that his legacy survives. and I also hope to help people learn music like you are doing. Keep on posting!

  • Nigun from Bloch's Baal Shem!!

    God Bless.

  • Ben:

You are a great musician, and obviously an accomplished tech guy, but seriously, YOU HAVE TO GET A MAC! ( I'm an apple junkie). Even with your PC, you are still awesome.

  • Lol! Thanks for the PC- er, Mac advice!

  • wow you are really a great man!

  • Thanks- I hope my work will inspire others to do similar acts of service to better society in general.

  • ur a generous great teacher!

  • Just doing my best, and thank you for your feedback!

  • :'D I'm sure your videos are greatly appreciated..

  • I appreciate that!

  • bravo ben chan!!!

  • Thanks for supporting my site!

  • Well, my English is not very good, so I'm not sure if I undestood the meaning, sorry if I answer wrong, because I can't understand what you say!!

I youtube because there are people like you in Youtube.

Thanks for being there you and all those good people I know in Youtube!

  • Well it seems like you understood just fine, and thanks for your videos as well!

  • It's an honour to be part of this world with individuals like you. Can I please clear something up? Being a neurotic Canadian living in Edmonton, a few hours from Calgary, I know that there are many amazing sources for learning the arts in Calgary. With a populous over 1 million, there's sure to be many available violinists willing to impart their knowledge waiting to be found. I just want to ensure that no one gets the wrong idea in their head regarding the quality of culture available. :-)

  • Thanks for clearing that up- I only mentioned Calgary because one specific individual with 2 small children messaged me through YouTube with this particular concern, but I didn't by any means intend to stereotype Calgary as a whole- my apologies.

  • I'm an accountant and I volunteer as a bookkeeper for a local community orchestra over a year now. I don't get anything back, but if I wanted, I could get some concert tickets. It feels good to use your skills to genuinely help someone without expecting anything in return.

  • aw, how awesome! :D

    you rock you....good man! :D

  • Thanks!

  • Oh sorry for asking that, I got it. But thanks for encouraging everyone of us. And ironically I'm starting to make video game videos. Thanks for posting this video, I'm gonna work in it.

  • Great!

  • Why-I-Youtube? o_O

  • Wow, you're like the person I dream to be, I play Violin, but my dream is to get a job with the field of Computer Science.

  • Ha, yeah, I consider myself pretty lucky- this is after a LOT of blood, sweat, and tears, of course.

  • I learned so much from you and Iam sharing it to my friends. keep it up

  • Thanks, I will, and thanks for spreading the word!

  • You seem to be a very good person, and it fills all of your videos. Thank you very much for your comments on violin repertoire and for letting me -us- know you a little. Very inspiring :).

  • Thank you for letting me know that!
