I feel you buddy. My close greatgrandfather died in '92 when I was 11 years old, not far off from your age. That was the first time I heard this song. Ever since then, I've heard it at every funeral for someone that was close to him, including his son-in-law, my grandfather, who passed away exactly a month ago, and I still cry every time.
