They are fighting because the Russians hacked into Euros anti-nuke sat.s and made them think that a US space ship(The Freedom IV lifter) was a nuclear missile. Ship Gets vaporized, US and Euros go to War, Then US declares war on Russian because they find out that they funded terrorist(but still didn't find info that russia was behind the attack on the Freedom IV)

We get our missile defense systems hacked and a sattelite that was made for shooting down nukes shoots down an American new-generation space station crew that was on a seemingly peaceful mission. Then, all Russia had to do was throw down their cards as America and Europe did.
