The model for the King is wrong, that's why people think that the black king is checking, but I don't see the need to criticize you for that, the animation and models are good, even if the count down is annoying.

It was the black queen, that made check-mate, black queen sits in black square white in white square;)

The kings lie on the e column, not the d.You have the board on the wrong side, and ,as others are stating, white goes first.
