I met Sid almost forty years ago when he was teaching Anthropology at Southwester (now Rhodes), spent an afternoon at his house listening to him pick guitar and sing. I didn't know how lucky I was at the time.

Dam`n he hasn`t aged in 20 years. Used to watch him sing the Bruce Chanel hit "Hey Baby" at the North End bar in Memphis circa 1986-1989.

He seems to have chosen obscurity, though is justly known in Memphis as the best of the best.
