This guy likes Chopin so much he made a documentary where they talk about anything BUT Chopin, the actual man behind the music. And so much focus on Chopin's love for Opera, did they actual mention Mozart at any point?
this is a very interesting documentary, but honestly I think they could have invited a professional world-class pianist to guide the narrative. This young man looks like a very interested and devoted Chopin aficionado, but as the technique and the pianistic skills of an amateur pianist. I don't have anything against him, but someone of the level of Garrick Ohlsson would be here tremendous as a leading figure.
Claudio Arrau was the best interpreter of the works of Chopin, his teacher was Martin Krause, a pupil of Liszt, a disciple of Carl Czerny, a pupil of Beethoven, Salieri, Hummel.
Finally a Chopin documentary!
