Baroque music almost always sounds awful when it's not played on a harpsichord. The structure is not meant for instruments with such dynamic range.

A little surprised that no one has corrected octagons's comment ^^ This is not a baroque piece - you can say it's written by a Romantic composer (Halvorsen) based on the material of Handel.
