  • Now do that in my studio and ill give you the original version of Parcheesi.

  • Damn, don't I feel like a n00b. I thought those things came pre-assembled!

  • its amazing how a price of a console is the same as a mansion with a swimming pool.. LOL

  • mmmh fail

  • As an ex Neve engineer 1968-79 I have to say if only it was that easy .

Do not forget the hundreds of yardsof cable that has to be cut to size, coded, stripped & tinned before being wired into the mainframe.

Then there were the plug in modules to make each one containing as many as 300 seperate parts.

Do not forget that the mainframe has to be built by hand too, cut from aluminium sheet.

The rotary switches had solid gold contacts & the transformers were designed by Neve & wound to their spec.

  • Ha, Ha. If the people I have working for me would only move that fast I may be able to take that vacation!

  • Hi. Why did you choose the KRK's to be your nearfields? Arent there any better choices in the same price range (Alesis, Yamaha, etc)?

  • I also don't understand why they put a $ 1200,- pair of KRK VXT8's on there but it's still far above anything Alesis and Yamaha offers... If anything, you would compare them to Genelecs, Mackies etc. Still quite low end but not as low as the ones you mentioned...

    Nice console btw.

  • What music? what style? what size of room ? what acoustics? metal or paper tweeters .THE LIST IS ENDLESS

ONE PROBLEM THOUGH I cant see KRK'S anywhere,

PLUS ANYWAY seems BOLLOCKS to me that after ive spent 70K on a neve desk i'd end up behind a pair of vxt's lol.

NOT that they are bad ..BUT that desk deserves AT LEAST a pair of S3A's OR some focal twin ..P.S . CHECK OUT APS . bought a pair of AEONS direct from from manufacturer and are really clear and great sounding . metal or paper option 2

  • ha ha this is the speed we move at these days! speed gonzales meep meep

  • its not finished? and its really not so easy lol....

  • Damm! I didn't know it was so easy! Why do they cost so much?

  • Same reason a Ferrari costs so much. When you've got one of the best mixers in the world, there aren't many buyers, and there aren't any assembly lines or cheap labor to produce them. The actual materials don't cost much, but producing it and maintaining the company does. There's also the element of exclusivity, which can also drive prices up.

  • Actualy it isn't so easy. Here they are just putting modules together but they have to make modules first.

  • is not real GUYS IS NOT REAl they speed up the movies

  • No Shit.... LOL :P

  • Haha:P

  • Sure? To insert the channel strips just takes the last second. ;-)

  • @saestuttgart and calibrating everything is included in that second too XD

  • Its not finished.

  • 59 seconds actually :)

  • Man, I'm itching to experience some proper studio gear and not just plugins.

  • I can just see on the box "some assembly required". I had a fooseball table that came in pieces and it took three hours for me and my family to put it together.

  • Wow! You guys are awesome!!

  • yes!

  • amazing

  • hi geoffmallen, we were so many people cause it was the first time we have done it, and we had to rebuild the neve in 12 hours.

I'm sure our audio department knows the easter egg, but i will ask ;-)

  • you've just brought back loads of memories for me,we've done that twice now, but what i can't understand is why are there so many people building it? I hope you enjoy the desk, beauty personified!

Can you find the "easter egg" on the flying faders screen?
