Because God is not a puppet master. He allows us humans to be "human" therefore we humans screw things up a lot.
Jesus Christ offers us true freedom if we accept Him as our Lord. Jesus never promised us that life would be easy and free on earth. In the end Jesus will do away with oppression and slavery.
