  • What a talent and a gift he was! And what a beautiful tribute! And such touching music.

  • That mummy was not Lon Chaney Sr. That was his son.

  • Who agrees that it is appauling or disgusting that all Lon Chaney has for a major motion picture tribute is the James Cagney film from 1957? Who is with me for a remake of that film starring Joe Pilato as Lon Chaney?

  • It one of the best tribute I've seen and the music fits perfectly, does anyone know the name of the music.

  • @johnr142003 The music is titled 'Hana's Eyes' by Maxim.

  • @basilnelson Thank you so much, been searching for this song, gladly appreciate it.

  • This is a beautiful tribute to Lon Chaney, and the song fits perfectly. I wish I knew the what the name of the song is.

  • love this...the best!

  • Great video, very well done and professional! Lon Chaney was such a great actor it's such a terrible shame that he died so young. He would've had another brilliant career in the talkie movies. The most gifted actor to have ever been on screen.

  • That was fine work. A tribute to a great actor, and a brilliant makeup artist. R.I.P. Lon Sr. and Lon Jr. you guys were the best!

  • Amazing work, thanks for this tribute. Is that Lionel Barrymore with Chaney at 4:03? I can't tell, did they ever make a picture together? Great photos from London After Midnight, its a tragedy that its currently a lost film. I hope that one of these days it turns up, and TCM airs it, that would truly be something to behold

  • Yes, it is Lionel Barrymore with Lon Chaney. They both appeared in 'West of Zanzibar' (1928) and privately they were great friends.

  • @basilnelson Yes, and Lionel Barrymore was also good friends with Boris Karloff, who claimed that Lionel was a greater actor than John.

  • @basilnelson That has to be why Tod Browning cast Lionel in so many similar roles that Lon played such as the detective in the LONDON AFTER MIDNIGHT remake; MARK OF THE VAMPIRE and as an old woman similar to THE UNHOLY THREE in THE DEVIL DOLL.

  • Yeah, West of Zanzibar

  • Great job. Too bad you don't re-due it by replacing the mummy images with the Hunchback character he did. Besides that, I'm impressed. A very professional job.

  • can any body tell me the name of this song please?????

  • I will reply in a separate message to you.

  • I would be very interested in finding out the name of the song too.

  • Very nicely done, but Lon Chaney, Sr. didn't play the Mummy, his son did. And missing was Lon Chaney as Quasimodo, the Hunchback of Notre Dame.

  • Lots of great stills from Chaney's lost film London After Midnight. Thanks for this professional tribute.

  • A very unique talent! He always portrayed such diverse characters on screen.

  • A great tribute BAZ. Lon was a true master of his craft and died way too young.
